@@randybender6383 My biggest fish with a rod was just over 5.
Running stump lines, we saw something white floating from along ways off. It was our stump line, 9/O SS hooks, where this bass swallowed a 1 # Goggle eye. The tailwind was sticking out the mouths spinchter and the mouth was literally coming out the bass's but. Never even heard of such before. But as a guy in Ruston, La. he got bit by a water moccasin cleaning a bass. Obviously the bass freshly swallowed the snake, but cut him open, he got bit. I think it c was the Ruston paper that told of it.

Love musk turtles, once had one for 14-15 yrs... He loved to meet people, and he would watch nascar racing. ( they can see in color) If you re-arranged furniture and he couldn't see the tv, he would bang his rocks against his tank. I miss him. That cottonmouth eating was interesting... I see a lot out yak fishing. Good video! 🎣😊👍🎣 FISH ON!

I love the redear/bluegill videos the most but the creek videos are a close second. Please keep them coming.
I'd also like to say thank you. I'm always watching your videos and showing the best parts to my wife. It motivated her to get outside and go fishing with me after seeing another married couple having so much fun. I'm actually writing this from my tent, laying in my cot, camping at Lake Almanor. I can't wait for the next 4 hours to pass by so i can have a turn at some of the awesome smallmouth bass at this lake. Thanks again. I can't wait for the next video. 😃

Hey Cole can you maybe do a fishing basics tutorial video? What kinda lures to use in different types of water/depths. I never know what the lip or bill of a bait does and how to reel or retrieve it properly or different ways/styles to reel it in. Whether its a shallow or deep diver stuff like that would be great to get some info on from an experienced angler who can put it in simple terms without getting OVERYL detailed. Its cool if you dont have the time I know your a busy dude. Regardless thanks for the upload 😁

We’ve lived in Florida for eight yrs.and moved back to Indiana this year.We spent the day fishing and had some good conversations. We didn’t do very good fishing but the time spent was worth it all. He’s back in school but a looking forward to fall break.

Catch some Crawfish, eat boiled crawfish, then make an etouffe using tails, crawfish fat, cooked down boil water with crushed heads and shells for stock instead of water is one idea.
Then use the fly rod for big Bream or small smallmouth.
You said you like the smallmouth, so get about 10"ers, fillet, then cook
Captain D style. I'm guessing small bass would be comparable to fish at Captain D's. Totally guessing, where I can't really test it myself, so a suggestion. Maybe use light malt vinegar on fillets which will cook them, so it'd need be light. Maybe dither in soft butter, shake in flour, then drop in batter, which flour, baking powder, say a 1/2 tsp. and a bitter beer like Pabst Blue Ribbon may fit the ticket. Add a little beer at a time for a thicker batter or more beer for thinner. Mine came out delicious but I used cod from Walmart. There's several recipes for Scot or Brit fish and chips. We need to honor our ancestors, 🙂, so fish and chips works.

The smaller bass would seem like they'd be better tasting. It's been 30 years I guess, but small bass seemed to taste better, fileted. It's been a long time, but they might even be good cooked Brit style like Captain D's.

Love your videos and your family love.
Coming from a snake-free country (New Zealand) I am amazed with your familiarity with snakes and handling them the way you do.
How on earth does one snake eat another?? Do the digestive juices take over or do the internal muscles drive the victim through the gullet and into the stomach?
Your advice would be much appreciated.
    Regards
    Garth

?? Question. IF A FISH SWALLOWS A FAKE LURE, LIKE THE FAKE WORM AND YOU CAN'T RETRIEVE IT, WILL THE FISH DIE BECAUSE IT CAN'T DIGEST OR PASS THE LURES?

A lot of times they are able to pass it as long as there is no hook attached to it
