This is as easy as it gets.
    Skinless salmon
    Cedar plank good for food.
    Weber’s dry rub (See Below)
    Lemons
    Soaked apple wood chips
    Kingsford blue bag.
Put the salmon on the Cedar plank
Set the grill up for indirect grilling at 350 degrees
Put the salmon on and add wood chips, and liberally coat the salmon with Weber rub.
Let it grill for ten minutes and squeeze lemons over the salmon, then add more Weber rub.
At the 30-minute mark squeeze more lemon over the salmon and it’s ready to pull.
This is so easy and so darn good.
Weber does not have their dry rub avalable anymore, so I used my dry rub on a smaller piece of Salmon and it was just as good, so here is my dry rub recipe.
    Here is my rub recipe.
    1 Cup Smoked Paprika
    1 Cup Chili Powder
    ½ Cup Light Brown Sugar
½ Cup Sugar (Keeps everything from clumping)
    ½ Cup Granulated Garlic (dry)
    ½ Cup Granulated Onion (dry)
    ¼ Cup Cayenne Pepper
    1 T. Dried Oregano
    ½ T. Cumin
    ½ T. Cinnamon
    1 Good Sized Freezer Bag
Mix everything in the freezer bag.
It’ll keep forever, but you’ll use it up long before that.
This rub is great on everything but Cheerios, and that is debatable.

Fantastic cook! I’ve been wanting to try salmon on a cedar plank!
That Weber Original Dry Rub is my favorite. I couldn’t find it at my regular store or on the Weber Seasonings/Sauces website. I contacted them and was informed they discontinued it! Looks like the KC Rub is the closest thing to it. I stumbled upon a surplus at our local Walmart Neighborhood Market and snagged 4 of them. If you like it, get it where you can!

Thanks. This is as easy as it gets. I'm very disappointed to find out they discontinued that rub. It was VERY good. I'll start working on a copycat that we can make.

I always cover mine with foil. It keeps the moisture in and the smoky flavor still gets in too

This was VERY moist, and had great flavor. I'm not kidding, I've never had salmon that I liked before this one.

I have always treated salmon planks as use once then throw away. What are the eye hooks for in the plank? Thanks.

He has hooks that he hooks into those so he can pull it off the grill without using gloves. Since he is grilling indirect the plank doesn't get as burnt up as they do when cooking direct. That way he can clean it and use it over and over.
