    Protaper bars have the knurling on the one side and smooth on the other so that dirtbike twist tubes can be used on their bars. And the knurling on one side keeps normal grips from sliding off after you use grip glue

    • @PeteHager
      @PeteHager  2 роки тому +1

      Ahh that was the word! Knurling, I knew there was a term for it 😅 I had figured it had something to do with twist throttles since it’s only on one side. Be nice to have on both sides for quads, I’ve never looked into it if you run traditional grips! 👍

    • @coleswanginshenanigans867
      @coleswanginshenanigans867 2 роки тому

      @@PeteHager yep knurling😂 I actually looked it so I had proper terminology lol. With regular grips you just have to use lots of grip glue cause they will twist and eventually come off. Learned the hard way on that one. But no longer an issue cause I'll only ever run ODI lock ons on a quad

    Hey Pete, do those bar clamps eliminate the need for a steering stabilizer?

    • @PeteHager
      @PeteHager  11 місяців тому +1

      They will help in rougher terrain but it's the hard, one tire impacts that the stabilizer is amazing for. I would recommend the stabilizer first over the clamps since it'll still help in choppy conditions. Getting any type of anti vibe in combination with the stabilizer is totally worth it

    Do u have the urmosi 720 on your raptor as well? I am looking at then but man is that price heavy. I do trail riding in Pa so stuff is rocky. Just want to make sure they are actually worth it and make a difference

    • @PeteHager
      @PeteHager  2 роки тому +2

      I have the Precision Antivibe clamps on my Raptor. They work pretty good but only go up and down on one axis. The Urmosi clamps essentially damped from all angles. Front to back, side to side. I like the 720 clamps a lot and have them on my 450 as well. You can really feel them working when you land crooked on one tire. I think they’re worth the money but definitely a tad expensive. They’re priced to compete directly with flexx bars and I would rather have 720 over that product. If your looking to but the SBC clamps on your raptor you’ll have to for sure get lower bars if you’re gonna run stock cables since the SBC does raise the bar height too far with the OEM bars. Hope this helps! The precision clamps are a great alternative at half the price! 👍

    • @TheBestCruzthereis
      @TheBestCruzthereis 2 роки тому +1

      @@PeteHager thanks for the reply. Did u need to change cable length or anything for the precision clamps?

    • @PeteHager
      @PeteHager  2 роки тому +1

      @@TheBestCruzthereis no new cables with the precision clamps but I’m running a precision steering stem and unfortunately I can’t remember if it’s +0 or +1. If you get the clamps make sure you order them for a stock steering stem unless you have aftermarket. There’s an adapter plate precision sends to mount to the OEM stem since the bolt holes won’t line up with the standard clamps. Hope this helps! Here’s a link showing the plate and set up. precision-rp.com/YAMAHA-ATV-SHOCK-AND-VIBE-HANDLEBAR-CLAMPS-STOCK-STEM_p_194.html

Was gonna buy FFlex bars for the Raptor but those Urmosi's flex from every direction, that's better imo. • @PeteHager
      @PeteHager  2 роки тому

      Thanks for watching my vid man! I’ve had many moments where the 720 clamps have saved my wrists. I’ve ridden with the flexx bars on other machines and they’re not bad but I feel like I’ve had more noticeable moments with the SBC’s. I’ve had no issues mounting them on the YFZ with stock cables and handlebars but I’ve heard a few people say the cables weren’t long enough when running the 720 clamps on the raptor. I’m not sure what height bars they were running though, the OEM raptor bars are super tall. I hope to upgrade my Raptor to the Urmosi clamps this fall so I’ll find out! 👍 Also, if your looking for that many Urmosi products shoot us a message on our contact page on our website and maybe we can get you a discount 👌🤘
