I love your 400ex that is the perfect example of a fun sport atv that truly was made to last forever I think. Honda on the pipe sound so good always. I had a chance to buy a 2014 TRX 400ex I think it was one of the last years of this quad. It was so clean barely ridden. I kick myself for not buying that one but I sat on the decision too long haha. Ah yes the 400ex in its natural environment. I have a built 450er and 400ex. I like the 400 in the woods, the 450 on the bigger more open trails. The 400 is so flickable.
Get a 400 ex. The aftermarket is still there for them and parts are readily available and affordable. You won’t find that with suzuki even though the z400 is a good quad

400ex feels like a mini raptor that doesnt want to tip over unless its tacky dirt, i like the gearing for trail riding, powerband is definitely more torque than top end but in my opinion they jump and handle great for what they are, personally i use my yfz for everything, but i dont mind riding a slower machine to its full potential without worrying about it, they take a beating
I love the 400ex with a 416 port work and cam exhaust it will run with a 450 anyway even a bolt on 450 iv done it thiers videos of I just a great bike all around

As a previous owner of a 2000 400ex (raced in hare scrambles), I suggest you avoid the cosmetic upgrades (they're fun, but has no real value except to impress other dudes). I'd suggest saving up some money and buy some Elka shocks (at least for the front end). Those 400ex front shocks are garbage...even for everyday riding. Being completely honest here, after your pipe/open airbox/rejetting, your next upgrade should be proper aftermarket shocks. You won't be able to use that new power without addressing handling. Or, at least, the new power will show you how subpar the factory shocks are.

Love the 400ex, I really like the sound of a ROSSIER exhaust, I’m running Yoshimura RS3 on my YFZ450. I do want it louder tho. What ROSSIER is the loudest for a YFZ450 06 carb?? I remember you taking about rossier before. Good job on the film editing really good my friend.
Thanks man! I think Rossier is planning on phasing out the R4 and focusing on the R5. When it comes to the loudest exhausts I would say any shorty pipe from a reputable brand is going to bark quite a bit. So far I would agree with a lot of the community that Monster makes the loudest pipes. If you’re going strictly Rossier then the R4 seems to be louder than the 5 👍
I see a lot of people recommending Alba if you want the most bang for your buck. I've really enjoyed working with Houser and they have a great reputation so I'm probably gonna go with their Slicast MX arms 👍

@@THATLTRFOUR50 if you widen the front you’re going to want to widen the rear. The best way to do that would be with a new axle over wheel spacers. If you buy standard travel a arms they will work with your stock shocks. If you buy long travel you’ll need longer shocks. A lot of guys upgrade to the TRX450 front shocks on the 400ex. Rocket Ron is great at setting the 450 shocks up to meet the long travel requirements if you go with that set up. I would recommend upgrading the front suspension to at least the 450r shocks if you’re going to buy a arms

The 400ex is an upgrade, it’s one of the best quads for trails, can be raced, handles extremely well, and can out perform even some 2-strokes, there’s a reason it’s called one of the greatest quads ever made, the only place it lacks is in power, which can easily be fixed. It’s also easily the most reliable quad ever

I have always wanted a sport quad, and have been looking for a good z400 or 300/400ex. Your video's are thoroughly entertaining to watch.

front is stock but its muffler and resonator deleted. It has a 3 inch Y pipe with 3 inch pipe out to 5 inch tips 👍
Any chance you can do the 400 shirt in gray or white? I love the look of black shirts but between dog hair and dandruff mine always look dirty .
