Is hp America different to hp Europe? I live in the UK and I've had three laptops and two desktops from hp over the last 20+years and the only problem I've had was a charging problem with my latest Envy x360 which was solved within a week with a brand new exchange laptop. As for copying Apple design, how many ways are there to design a laptop? From what I have seen, although Americans will use whatever is available they all want to worship at the all mighty Apple.
On this channel we often praise Dell, Lenovo, and ASUS for their unique designs and implementations. I can't speak to build quality of Europe HP vs USA, but something tells me you just got lucky.
@@ComputerStuff I'm still using my HP-255-G8 Bought in europe with the Ryzen 3 5300U and it's a complete workhorse. The only thing thats bothering me at this point is RAM and Storage, other than that, i think HP europe might be the better of those two.

Thanks for the info, man. I was planning on buying this HP soon. Ya talked me into giving another brand a try. Though I've seen somewhere that MSI laptops are good. Whaddya think of one of their 2 in 1s verses Dell and/or Lenovo?
@@thecookinestkid401 I'd go with a Dell or Lenovo 2 in 1 vs an MSI. MSI more for gaming enthusiast rigs. CS isn't as good as it is with the big dogs either.
@@ComputerStuff Cool. I knew MSI was for gaming but, I'm not too into that these days. I think I'm leaning more toward Lenovo as Dell customizables are way over my budget. Thanks for the info!

I have had very good luck with Dell. But I am referrring to business dells, my first dell laptop was so basic it didn't have a web cam or touch screen. But it was fast, worked well for a long time. I dropped it so hard I cracked the screen, still used it, then
my dog turned the table over with it on it and the whole cd disk drive came flying out. I shoved it back in. the whole top was separated from itself and STILL WORKED!
I strongly encourage you to look at Dell or ASUS instead of this HP (and since you dont want another Lenovo). To be fair, Lenovo's higher end products are built much better than the Ideapad 320s.
@@ComputerStuff Thanks! I did read that Dell laptops tend to break fast in a review, but I will look into it. Will also look at Asus. My Lenovo could not even handle internet browsing coming out of the box. Thanks for the great videos!
I am an interior designer student and I don’t know what laptop buy ( I will use adobe and other heavy programs). I saw your video on de Dell Inspiron 16 2-1 and I think I’m going for that one but I’m not sure…I need help
Can't go wrong with an Inspiron 16 or Yoga for interior design use. heavy programs you may want to get a model that has a dedicated graphics card e.g. Nvidia.
This laptop was an intel one. You never buy these with intel! Cmom 😅 they cost atleast 300 usd more and have less battery time and are not good multitasker
Need a 2 in 1 that is reliable, has awesome drawing capabilities/pen, windows, i-7, preferably 2 thunderbolt or type c high speed usb- hdmi. 16 gb ddr5, 1 tb drive, all for around $800-$1000- any recommendations? Oh, one question too, maybe the pen doesn't need to be so great, but plugging something like a drawing tab,et I to the machine would have its own pen, so I guess that would offset the issue if the laptop pen isn't so great?
lol I bought one and it didn’t last a week I had to bring it back. I got the 2023 model which is good but the battery life is meh. So after I replace 2024 I had to listen to my family gloat that I should have gotten an apple before 2024 HP Envy. I’m a bit relieved that I wasn’t the only one who had a problem.
Haha i didnt buy this laptop, it was given to me since Officeworks dropped my old laptop and they compensated by giving me this laptop!! Been more than happy with this new one since day 1.
@@ComputerStuff It’s so reliable. Wouldn’t say I have bad bad taste, it’s just that I am grateful for what I’ve got!! Still you fail to give me a valid reason as to why you hate it so much, but you do you I guess.
@@YourLocalSnag I have other videos on this channel going in depth as to why HP sucks. ANd this video gives plenty of anecdotal reasons as to why it sucks. Our demo unit was having problems. THis is constant with HP. You also do you. Genuinely I hope the laptop is reliable for you and I'm glad you like it. In my vast experience with computers, these aren't.
Its a shame to hear HP has so many issues. I think their build quality used to be better or i am just lucky. I have an Envy m6 that i have owned for about 11 years. I have abused this thing for every bit of those years. It pretty much runs constantly while I am home and all night while i sleep playing youtube. I was terrible about cleaning it a long time ago and it shut down to overheating multiple times because of it. Dropped it directly face open onto a night stand before. Its super outdated at this point but it has outlasted any bit of technology i have ever owned. I have been wanting to upgrade but I know nothing on the market is going to endure what this thing has.
I have to call you on this one. You call HP out for copying Apple's design, which is correct to a certain degree, but then you recommend the Inspiron 16 Plus, which btw is an exact "copy/paste" copy of a MacBook Pro. Hmmm! Now regarding HP's reliability issues, I have to take notice because I was just about to fork out $900 on an HP Envy x360 16-inch. All other reviewers seem to rave about the HP Envy x360, especially the improved quality of the latest generation. But then again who knows what self-serving nefarious intentions UA-cam reviewers might have!
They changed the keyboard in my copy, maybe as result of this review. I received mine as a Christmas gift (kids were shocked at the old laptop that i was using) The new keyboard has silver keys on a silver background. The letters/characters are translucent, and 'greyish' when not lite by the keyboard lighting. So, when the backlighting is not used the characters are difficult to see (grey on silver) and, when the backlighting is used the actually lighting is so dim that it is still difficult to see the tiny characters, there are not enough LEDs (or whatever the light source) such that the entire right end of the keyboard is very dimly lit. An epic fail on the keyboard, very frustrating, I usually keep my computers a fairly long time but I may look to replace this thing early.
thank you so much for this video i was just about to buy this laptop too. I was thinking of getting the LENOVO Yoga 7 14" 2 in 1 Laptop - Ryzen 7, 512 GB SSD. I’ve heard it doesnt have the later CPU like HP does with the 6000 series. But i’m pretty stuck what do you think or any alternatives you could recommend?😊
I like the Yoga's. The difference in CPUs are so negligible in terms of power I doubt you'd notice any practical difference. If you want latest and greatest though you can check out Dells Insp 16 / XPS or ASUS higher end Vivo series and those would have the next gens.
hey man I had the 2021 version and it was amazing no problems at all and still held up! I now switched but damn that laptop was very sleek and premium and literally did everything even emulate some PS3 games it was the i7 11th gen one
Hi, i am planning to buy Ultra 7, 32Gb, 1TB SSD config model for HP Envy x360, what's your suggestion. Instead of that what is other options? For Lenovo Yoga it seems RAM soldered
You’re correct the ram is soldered on in Lenovo, which is a dire shame. Have you considered a Dell XPS or Inspiron 16+? I have found better success in these platforms. Even an Asus vevo book is a fabulous option, but some of those have soldered ran as well.
I was looking for a successor of my old HP laptop, but I guess I'll switch over to Dell. I saw they got pretty good built quality, specs and a nice Oled display. I kinda had to chuckle how affectionately you were ranting about HP. But it seems like they went quite downhill indeed.
@@ComputerStuff I'll surely take your advice. And it seems like my Husband agrees on that too (Only hearing the name made him gag lol) Any experience with more modular laptops such as Framework?
@@HomelessShoe If you're looking for a 2 in 1 platform generally speaking Lenovo's Yoga series has solid premium options. ASUS also has their Zenbooks which are great for 2 in 1 however depending on where you live their customer service can be questionable comparatively. I like Dell but their 2 in 1s suffer a bit comparatively.
@@_xd6681 Because they're not top 5. Their OLED screens have weird ghosting issues, reliability is questionable, and warranty support is harder to get ahold of than Lenovo and Dell.
The ram upgradeability is not a "design cue" they took from Apple, all the manufacturer are doing the same thing, it's called LPDDR memory, supposedly it's more energy efficient, but at what cost!
@@ComputerStuff this pushed me to the dark side, now I use a mac mini and love mac os lol , funny thing it has less memory and is freaking faster than the hp ...
this guy just hates HP for some reason. however, I have a bunch of issues with my similar laptop. 3 shipments to HP and 1 last one ( I hope ) to Costco Warranty services for a motherboard replacement.
I do hate HP. I offer other videos as to why. Short answer, they make unreliable products and have awful customer service. I have tons of experience with their products and customer service so my opinions, while anecdotal, are coming from ACTUAL experiences so when I tell people not to buy an HP it’s so they can filter through all of the paid for and sponsored videos on the internet. One is better off w dell lenovo apple or Asus.
Hey, Thanks for letting me know but what if i am getting HP - Envy 2-in-1 14" 2K Touch-Screen Laptop - AMD Ryzen 5 - 16GB Memory - 512GB SSD - Glacier Silver for 380 bucks?
It's good for that price but that 2k touch screen has awful colour gamut - 62%srgb. If you do any any creative work or appreciate consuming high quality media, your doing yourself a disservice.
Hi, is there a laptop with the same or similar components to the dell inspiron 16 plus but with a touchscreen, for around the same price or slightly more expensive
Thank you comments for saving me some time. Knew this guy was full of it when the first thing he says is "HP copied Apple's look by using black keys... Thanks for listening HP and finally adding the black keys I rant about". I us an HP with the silver keys and wish it had black keys. Love my HP Envy 16.
I don’t understand. You say I’m full of it but then you agree that the computer should have black keys. Don’t get me wrong anybody that loves their HP Envy 16 is incapable of formulating a coherent thought, still this one threw me.
I am watching this video on the hp envy lol but the only bad thing I would say about it is the battery life is ass... but otherwise its a nice laptop, almost had it now for a year
@@ComputerStuff Yes next time you review this please say the battery life is horrible because it loses 10% every 10 minutes other wise its a good laptop
Okay I have given your opinion a point that's convincing, so can you recommend a laptop with similar price with hp envy and abit better specs, quality and is upgradable and so on? Also something that can actually help in academics more inclined to paper works and performance of laptop?
As a high school student, this laptop is actually a waste, It may work well on the first 2 to 5 weeks but after that, it is way DOWN BAD. After almost 3 months of use, I can’t even play Roblox ( 33fps on lowest graphic of an average roblox game )and have heavily keyboard delays on it no matter what you are doing.

I'm looking to get my girlfriend a new laptop and so far I'm leaning towards a lenovo or a galaxy laptop, as she needs it for college and university but she loves to do digital art so I'm looking for a laptop that can do both, any suggestions
Hi Chris, thanks for the heads up, thought this laptop looked good for 900 dollars, but you let me know if that price is good for it, if not I might just wait out for the OLED variant for the Dell XPS 13 plus to come back in stock on their website since I can get it around the same price with the code I've got for it.
In my experience, HP sucks and his reviews are vey accurate. HP doesn't give a crap. You can't even get to a human and they are letting Chinese markets out cheap parts in their cheap shells and selling their name. They don't even TRY to put out a product with pride. They don't care what you get or how much it cost you.
Resonates with me as I've had loads of problems with my 360. Avoid. P.S. I wish the language was cleaner on this because I'd have shared it, it is so on-target.
I had a hp laptop and it was really bad I’m getting another laptop but idk what to get my parents say I shouldn’t get a MacBook because they heard they are bad and too expensive
Macbooks are by far some of the best made overall machines. And I'm not an apple fan boy by any stretch. There is no perfect computer but they are solid - but yes they are expensive. If you want something more reasonably priced Dell's lineup is fantastic and they have great support in and out of warranty. Lenovo is a close second.
@@ComputerStuff You even agreed with me though. You edited in an extra minute of you speaking saying how the rest of the video was just you complaining, and should probably add some much needed context.

I hate HP nearly as much as you do! I bought several rip-offs from them over the years before learning my lesson! Most recently, in late 2022 the dreaded HP 15 series efxxxxx- AMD supposedly 16, but says 14 RAM. It has never worked. It would shut down randomly. Drove me nuts until Finally, I reseated the screen, which was one problem. But, then it shut down during a recovery attempt and it not only didn't recover, but it erased some of the thumb drive, or I did somehow. But now it's a 750. Shell without drivers that sits on my desk. Since my desktop Dell just went down, i have no pc at all now. I bought the HP as a back-up. HP won't help in any way:(
Hi hoping you can reply but im a computer science college student looking for a good laptop 16gb ram and over 500gb of storage doesnt matter what budget. What would you recommend?
I can confirm it's unrepairable. Terrible product. My HP ENVY x360 Laptop - 13-ay0001's USB-C port failed, and fixing it requires a $700 motherboard replacement-basically the price of a new laptop. HP is off my list for good.
I can not comprehend how anyone would every buy anything from Lenovo when they've been busted multiple times installing root kits. How is Lenovo still in business when they've repeatedly demonstrated they're untrustworthy?
I bought a MacBook but I’m having buyers remorse buying such an expensive laptop for college. I seen this on sale at Best Buy for $499 and was going to swap it out
I recommend whichever 360 that has an AMD CPU. This laptop, the older model with Ryzen 4000 my mom's still rocking. I believe the problem was the Intel 😊
Hands down, my biggest spending regret ever! I hate this laptop so much! I went into best buy asking for something with large storage that would be good for media. They offered me this CRAP and told me it was powerful. I thought, for this much money, it better be something! I've had problems from day ONE. It gets hot very easily, the battery dies rather quickly, it does not hold much storage (which was the main thing I was counting on.) Now im having a black screen issue at start up, and even when I manage to bypass that issue. Every thing loads extremely slow. My wifi on it has randomly stopped working as well and I can't get it back up. Ive been up all night trying to fix this thing, but I keep going from one problem to another, trying not to throw it across the room. hp will probably never get my business again. Im even thinking about replacing my hp printer because they make me sick at this point. I don't wanna see another hp symbol in my house after I find replacements for them. And it's not the fact that the laptop sucks that bothers me. It's the fact that it costed an arm and a leg compared to the much cheaper laptop I originally wanted but couldn't find. I basically spent money I didn't have, in hopes that investing in something that interests me would change my life. Bestbuy can also kick rocks. Im so pissed and wish I stayed patient and did my research 1st. But the laptop that I did my research on was no where to be found, and my transportation had already driven me to several stores to find it. But I didn't wanna return home empty handed. Especially because transportation was hard to find for me at the time. But hey, lesson learned. I appreciate you letting your frustration out on our behalf. It actually calmed me down a little.
I'd look at other alternatives for gaming laptops. Alienware or Lenovo Legion - we had an omen in for review a few months ago and it... no surprise... broke... wouldn't boot up, we got a replacement, then that one had some boot issues too.
They prioritized audio quality over the numpad convenience. To each their own. I would prefer the better speakers too, although admittedly I like a numpad.
@@ComputerStuff I get you, I would prefer a laptop that has no speakers. While traveling speakers are not appropriate and while at home, I am plugged in to real speakers anyway.
Perhaps I wasn’t clear in the video. We get more Envy’s in than any other computer in our shop. And it’s not because they are more popular - it’s because they break more. Anyone with an HP can tell you their customer service is non existent. Feel free to watch our “don’t buy an HP” video and see the countless bad experiences. And yes, everyone is praising it because they are either paid, sponsored, or using them short term. But buy one! It won’t affect my life even a smidge.
Hiii…i’m a fashion designer and trying to buy a laptop but truly my mind is blowing now and don’t know what to buy plz help me😭 I wanted to buy this but just saw your review Should i buy macbook?
It’s more premium yes. It’s a Mercedes whereas the Inspiron is a Honda Civic. But like a Mercedes you’ll be left with a huge bill post warranty and it will spend most of its time in the service center. Jk love u @mercedes
Glad I watched this video. I was going to buy HP. I seen alot of review videos saying they are good for content creators but I guess there probably sponsored videos. Have you any recommendations? I’m going to be doing a lot of video editing and streaming.
Almost guarantee'd sponsored. HP pays more money into their marketing budget than they do R&D. You think about the XPS or ThinkPad? Really anything with a dedicated graphics card should do you good.
Sir, I believe you that HP is a steaming pile of trash. My only option is an X360 or a Dell Inspiron 7430 2 in 1. Will the Dell last more than 2 weeks before it breaks down like the garbage HP? Or is it worse? Thank you.
I bought this thing a few years ago and have never had a problem with it but if you’re a computer nerd, it’s gonna be underpowered but for basic people like me that are just using it for basic bitch stuff it’s not an issue

I saw that you answer all the comments, what do you recommend with an OLED screen with good resolution, 16g of RAM and 16"/15"? As cheap as possible... Non-gamer if possible... I know there are a lot of demands to ask for a low price xd.
We try to engage our audience as best as possible! I don't know if you're going to get all of that in one low price package. OLED especially. You may want to look into ACER deals. Dell's have great screens but they're not OLED. Samsungs have OLEDs but they are crappy computers otherwise. Long and short, best bang for your buck is going to come from Dell, ACER in this respect.

Though I've seen somewhere that MSI laptops are good. Whaddya think of one of their 2 in 1s verses Dell and/or Lenovo?
Hello can you please help me
@@thecookinestkid401 I'd go with a Dell or Lenovo 2 in 1 vs an MSI. MSI more for gaming enthusiast rigs. CS isn't as good as it is with the big dogs either.
@@Siam-6421 What questions can we can answer for you?
@@ComputerStuff Cool. I knew MSI was for gaming but, I'm not too into that these days. I think I'm leaning more toward Lenovo as Dell customizables are way over my budget. Thanks for the info!
Thanks for this review. Since my previous laptop was a nightmare (Lenovo Ideapad 320), I'm almost scared to buy a laptop and am trying to do as much research as possible. This computer is on sale on BestBuy and I was considering it. These kind of reviews really make the difference! Thanks!

This laptop was an intel one. You never buy these with intel! Cmom 😅 they cost atleast 300 usd more and have less battery time and are not good multitasker

Oh, one question too, maybe the pen doesn't need to be so great, but plugging something like a drawing tab,et I to the machine would have its own pen, so I guess that would offset the issue if the laptop pen isn't so great?
Check out Lenovo Yoga!

I recently purchased this a few weeks ago and so far it’s working fine.
That's good to hear, hopefully you have a long happy experience with yours!
@ I did read some reviews about the hinges being faulty overtime. I brought this from office Max with a 4 year extended warranty $280 extra
lol I bought one and it didn’t last a week I had to bring it back. I got the 2023 model which is good but the battery life is meh. So after I replace 2024 I had to listen to my family gloat that I should have gotten an apple before 2024 HP Envy. I’m a bit relieved that I wasn’t the only one who had a problem.
I have so many clients bring these in for issues. It's sad. Good luck with your tech hunt!

@@ComputerStuff I really don’t understand your hate for it. Such a biased “review”.
@@YourLocalSnagI was pretty clear. It has the reliability of a Yugo. It's an awful laptop. Don't beat yourself up, you have bad taste.
What a work horse! Glad to hear you've had a good experience!
Ugh! I hate silver keycaps!!! They ARE very hard to see. Thanks for watching.
thank you so much for this video i was just about to buy this laptop too.

Man, hp must have said No to something really important to you 😄
In my experience, HP sucks and his reviews are vey accurate. HP doesn't give a crap. You can't even get to a human and they are letting Chinese markets out cheap parts in their cheap shells and selling their name. They don't even TRY to put out a product with pride.
Haha, glad we helped. Sorry about your bad experience. Thanks for watching and sharing.

Well how about you recommending an equal laptop???
Good point. I recommend Lenovo Yoga or Dell Inspiron 2 in 1 over this.
Copying a design that puts the speakers on the sides of the keyboard so that the users does not get a number pad...is dumb. Apple sucks.
They prioritized audio quality over the numpad convenience. To each their own. I would prefer the better speakers too, although admittedly I like a numpad.
@@ComputerStuff I get you, I would prefer a laptop that has no speakers. While traveling speakers are not appropriate and while at home, I am plugged in to real speakers anyway.

honestly the last time i had an hp laptop was in the compaq era (the laptop still works but since it is almost 15 years old, it is just collecting dust), so I am not really sure, however, this is the second video I've seen this week saying HP are shit, the other one was by alex ziskind, thanks for the warning.
I have tons of experience with these products. I wouldn’t be making this video if there weren’t tons of HP users who have had similar experiences.
I understand the dislikes, but I'm glad you were brutally honest about this computer because my current laptop just died so I found the HP Envy for cheap and was possibly going to get it. Thanks for saving me from buying it!
You're welcome! Hopefully this saves you some headache.
Hate is crazy he use to get bully in high-school
I did get bullied in high school! Then I married a hottie, bought a big ass house, and a super fast car - and oh wait... don't give a fuck what plebes think.
I wouldn't prioritize OLED - I dont think it'll enhance your experience as much as one would hope.
I just found a gatekeeping fanboy channel to block. I couldnt make it 60 seconds. Either do the review or dont.
And on the 7th day, God said: "Who gives a shit?"
@@ComputerStuffAnd on the 8th day we all learn that your channel still sucks. Your videos aren't going to get enough views, you still gotta have a regular job. And all you had to do was just review the stupid product. But no, you just had to suck on Apple's® little worm instead of giving an "unbiased" review. There are millions of channels better than yours.
lol. Bro. Life’s good. You’ll be ok. 👌🏻
@@ComputerStuff Did you delete my comment? You are a clown.
You gaslighting me? Your nasty comment is posted and live for the whole world to see. Why so angry my boy? This shit ain’t that serious.
TOO LATEE!!! I bought this a month ago 😢
Yikes! Hopefully its reliable for you though!
How is handling?
Thank you
You're welcome!
800 dollars down the drain many months ago
Sorry to hear :(
@ComputerStuff Its fine. That's on me. Here's hoping I can get it repaired.
