This was very helpful, thank you. I worked with a Haitian man in Miami named Walter who drove furniture delivery trucks. He was a very hard man with the most incredible cheek bones I've ever seen. He was fair though, but was always getting picked on by the Jamaicans while the Cubans and Colombians just laughed at them all. Me, the white dude, could barely keep up with what was being said, lol.
Haitians and Jamaicans are basically the same but different we are cousins. Sometimes we can't even tell the difference between each other...it's the accent that let's us know. Haitians have a soft Caribbean accent with French and African influences. Like Jessie Woo Jamaicans have a coarse Caribbean accident with African and English influences. Like Spice. Looks wise Jessie and Spice could pass for sisters or cousins.
