*MOST DEFINITELY* "BE PREPARED" FROM "THE LION KING"!😆
I’d say Hellfire is my favourite Disney villain song for how dark it is and it sounds awesome. But I also love Be Prepared, My Lullaby, Poor Unfortunate Souls, Gaston, Friends On The Other Side, Oogie Boogie’s song and so many others.
The Elegant Captain Hook!:D i love peter pan!
What about Agatha’s song? That’s considered a Disney villain song too, right?
@@beneathroses Me too! I have a serious fangirl crush on him :p
Fun fact: Jim Cummings took over in Be Prepared because Jeremy Irons had vocal troubles while recording it, and after "YOU WON'T GET A SNIFF WITHOUT ME!", his voice gave out
What about the rest of the song after that
That's what I mean by Jim Cummings taking over. After that bit, Jeremy Irons' voice gave out, and Jim Cummings recorded the rest of the lines for the song. If you listen closely, you can tell its him and not Irons
@@greninjastorm6734 wow that’s actually pretty amazing so I guess this means this is the only villain song to have 2 voices
It's hard to believe that the same dude that voices Pooh did that. That's amazing!
I always love bringing up this fact for people, one of my favorite
Mother Knows Best: Rated E for Everyone
Be Prepared: Rated T for Teen
Hellfire: Rated M for Mature
Hellfire for me is number 1 expecally after being played after heaven light showing the difference between how esmerelda is seen between the two
@@brandontsosie4514 Quasimodo saw Esmeralda as an angel while Frollo saw Esmeralda as a demon
Savages: Rated WTF
@@cgirlrocks11 Savages is T rated. It's not violent or religious. It's just racist
@@joshualowe959 yes…. Obviously I was joking. WTF as in “What The F?”.
Hellfire will always be the best Disney villain song. It’s sadistic, dark and chilling. The vocal performance is beautifully sinister, the animation and visuals are haunting and the entire feel is raw and powerful. A brilliant song that deserved number one in my opinion
Was that from hunchback? The one where Frollo is singing about the temptation of Esmeralda? If so, that's my fave. Followed by Poor unfortunate souls & Rotten to the core (Disney descendants)
@@FangFem Yes. It’s from The Hunchback of Notre Dame
I have only seen the hunchback about 4 times since it came out and I never noticed exactly what the song was encompassing and I am disturbed.
Totally agree
It’s an absolute masterpiece including the whole film itself besides the ugly stain that is “A Guy Like You” which is in my opinion the only bad part of the movie
Definitely should have been top!
Just be honest: We expected to see Frollo and Scar so high on the list.
They are obviously two of her favorites, along with Princess and the Frog.
@@jmfong76 and be prepared is the best not their fault nothing has topped it
Yep, but I wasn't sure which song got one yet
I mean
Be prepared is more fun, but Hellfire is a master piece of music in my opinion. But to each their own, can't judge anyone who prefers another Villans song.
I had forgotten how much I like old Disney songs, this hit nostalgia good 🥰
My favourite Disney villain song is Gaston from Beauty and the Beast
My favourite non-Disney animated villain song is The Duchess I Must Be from The Loud House Movie
My absolute favorite Disney villain song is "Poor Unfortunate Souls," followed closely by "Be Prepared." I also really like the pirates' song "The Frigate that Flies" from "The Pirate Fairy."
Because Tom Hiddleston 😏💕👏🏼 It should have been included here, definitely.
Shiny
Hellfire is my personal favorite #1,I just think that it captures raw, evil, human emotion perfectly.
Especially when he says " Like fire! Hellfire " and he backed away from the fireplace
I love hellfire so much. It shows frollo falling into darkness so very well and in such a terrifying and very evil way. It’s perfect for making a real dark and truly terrifying and evil villain. I love that when frollo is singing and then the guard interrupts him and says Esmeralda has left notre dame. Frollo was praying to stop his lust over Esmeralda or let her be his. And God literally had just answered frollo’s prayer by having Esmeralda gone, frollo wouldn’t have to worry about her anymore and could just leave her alone. But he gets so obsessed with her that he falls into the darkness and refuses God.
Top 10 of mine includes Mother knows best, Gaston, Friends on the other side, be prepared, poor unfortunate souls and Hellfire. No particular order but Hellfire is #1 regardless.
Old channels indeed… I respect their endurance
Hellfire is EVERYTHING! I still listen to that song! I just listened to it 2 days ago 😂😂😂😂😂
@@tatianaragland4007 I had bought it and listened on repeat. It’s just so fantastic.
That’s surprising. I was appalled that song was above Poor Unfortunate Souls.
Hellfire should have been number one. It has everything a villain song should shave. Be prepared is good too, but I would put it in second place because although it is good, it will never hold the same weight and intensity of Hellfire.
Yeah as much as Lion King is a more memorable and overall stronger movie, if we're just comparing villain songs "Hellfire" is much better then "Be Prepared". Like both are really great songs and I guess 'Be Prepared" is more traditional a villain song but "Hellfire" just hits harder plus man Tony Jay really sells that performance.
@@DianaGohan I personally think that Hunchback is better and it is my favorite Disney movie of all time, but I understand if you like Lion King more because Hunchback definitely has more problems than Lion King if you don't look at it from a personal perspective, but I still really love Lion King and Hunchback a lot more, but that doesn't mean Lion King is bad.
I came in here thinking that just like every other Disney villain song list it would be number one I thought this was supposed to be a universal fact that it was the best Disney villain song
Agreed. Hellfire is just a really intense villain song that we’ve never really seen before
I guess Be Prepared gets more notice because Lion King is far more popular than Hunchback. Lion King has the balance of happy kids songs as well as the dramatic scenes, while Hunchback is pretty straightforward drama all the way. I happen to like Hunchback far more than Lion King, but I can see why people prefer it.
Hellfire is absolutely the best villain song. It's real life evil perfectly translated into music. The soundtrack of Hunchback is so brilliant that, even though it includes "A guy like you", it's still the best of any Disney movie, in my opinion.
In my opinion, what made ‘Savages’ so cruel, dark and villianous is that its realistic
Yeah... It captures some very frightening aspects of human nature.
Depending on your point of view. History was unkind but that doesn't decrease its value despite what modern culture is trying to do to it.
My lullaby sung by Zira in lion king 2 is a masterpiece
Right?! It should have been number 1
@@CatradoraAppleDashisawesome it is not better then be prepared and hellfire its good just not that good
@@tomkruslin726 i mean i find it better but ur entitled to ur opinion
The juxtaposition of 'Hell fire' with 'God Help the Outasts' is absolutely sublime/
"Be Prepared" is the most epic villain song for me, and I was so disappointed that the 2019 remake cut it almost entirely! 😤😡
Yeah, How Dare That Remake Shorten Scar's Be Prepared Song?!
Quando disseram que Be Prepared não estaria no filme, fiquei chateada.. Depois que assisti, preferiria que tivessem tirado do que fizeram
I love The Lion King but when I saw the movie, I can’t believe they butchered it. Chitwetel Ejiofor gave a nice performance as the voice of Scar but the villain song got me disappointed
I'm pretty sure it's because it was rushed back in. Yeah like originally the 2019 movie despite how much it just copy pastes from the 1994 movie WASN'T going to have that song in it. I have no idea why; maybe because they wanted to try going a slightly different direction with Scar that like anything in that horrid remake didn't go anywhere but it was originally not in the movie. Fans were PISSED hearing that though and obviously demanded it be brought back so they half ass threw it back in the movie obviously doing a rush job on it because of likely how it was shoe horned in last minute. That's why it was so butchered... besides the fact that everything in 2019 sucks compared to the original.
Yeah the remake sucked
Although slightly controversial, "we are siamese if you please" is really catchy and deserves a mention
So is Alameda Slim's Yodeling Song. I wish it would be mentioned.
My favorite villain songs are Hellfire, Be Prepared, Friends on the Other side, Poor Unfortunate Souls, and Mother Knows Best in that order.
My favourite Disney villain song is Gaston from Beauty and the Beast
My favourite non-Disney animated villain song is The Duchess I Must Be from The Loud House Movie
I like shiny as well
Queen Grimhilde really deserves a villain song. Heck, she’s the first disney villain in history and first villain before others, even underrated villains.
Well in some stage shows and things they rework her transformation scene into a song.
FACTS! I still want a Malificent song
@@cheyenneparker2954 same. I wish every Disney villain had a song.
ikr
As amazing and iconic as Be Prepared is, Hellfire is #1 in my heart, just like the whole film when it comes to my favourites.
Number #1: 🎶 My ambitions for this list are bare! Be Prepared! 🎶
In Shiny when Tamatoa goes into the bioluminescence portion of the song, the transition gives me chills every time!
Lion King 2 is so underrated. But I’m so glad Hellfire was in the top 2. And I agree that Be Prepared is number 1!! Great list!
I love The Lion King II: Simba’s Pride since I was a kid. I didn’t even know the actress from Scream was in it
@@olvialee7221LOL I didn’t know that either!
My top 10 favorite Disney villain songs.
10. Your Only Second Rate (Return Of Jafar)
9. Friends On The Other Side (Princess And The Frog)
8. The Elegant Captain Hook (Peter Pan)
7. Nothing Left To Lose (Tangled The Animated Series)
6. Poor Unfortunate Souls (The Little Mermaid)
5. Savages (Pocahontas)
4. Cruella DeVil (101 Domations)
3.The Mob Song (Beauty And The Beast)
2. Be Prepared (Lion King)
1. Hellfire (The Hunchback Of Notre Dame)
My favourite Disney villain song is Gaston from Beauty and the Beast
My favourite non-Disney animated villain song is The Duchess I Must Be from The Loud House Movie
Fun Fact: Tony Jay first played the asylum keeper in beauty and the beast. Disney loved how creepy and eerie his voice sounded they asked him to play Frollo
Yeah, Tony Jay got two jobs for one audition there. First, they decided his audition recordings for Beauty and the Beast were perfect as is and just sent him a check, then they called him later and told him the role of Frollo was his if he wanted it, no audition needed.
@@Historymaker-2001 oh wow that part I didn’t know that’s amazing
I KNEW HE SOUNDEE FAMILIAR. The thing is I knew this already, but when I watched Beauty and the Beast this year, I heard his voice and was like "I know who voices this guy, fuuuuuuck" I forgot it, bruh
also the *"Treasure Planet" prologue narrator* , in one of his last vocal roles
@@盧璘壽로인수 oh my gosh that was him ? I had no idea
Hellfire should be #1! It’s more darker and gothic than “Be Prepared” ever be! The background music is legendary
True but you know, it's the same singer in French 🤣
Agreed. Hellfire’s the best.
Hellfire is top tier. Be prepared reached more people though.
My Lullaby is so dark and I love it
Ok although Anastasia was made by fox I think In The Dark Of the Night belongs on this list. It has all the spooky vibes of Poor Unfortunate Souls and all the edginess from Be Prepared fused into one song. Also the chorus, "In the Dark of the night evil will find her
In the dark of the night just before dawn" is an absolute banger
And Disney does own the film now.
Anastasia had some bomb songs all around
You should see the Russian lyrics translated to English. It's a little more evil.
The line “soon she will fear, that her nightmares are real” get stuck in my head so often!! It really scratches that good itch in my brain
Hellfire is my personal number 1. It's the darkest disney villain song in my opinion. All the other villains know and accept they're evil, but there's something just so disturbing about a man justifying lust and saying it's not his fault, but the devil's temptation. Also, can we talk about the background vocals chanting the Act of Contrition (prayer recited during Confession) in Latin??
I like how "Love is an open door" is a villain song 😁
Poor Unfortunate Souls and Mother Knows Best are my favourite villain songs!
My favourite Disney villain song is Gaston from Beauty and the Beast
My favourite non-Disney animated villain song is The Duchess I Must Be from The Loud House Movie
Disney has the best villan songs of all time!!! 😊♥️😊♥️😊 it's hard to pick just one!
My favourite Disney villain song is Gaston from Beauty and the Beast
My favourite non-Disney animated villain song is The Duchess I Must Be from The Loud House Movie
My Lullaby should be higher is definitely one of the most darker villain songs out there from Disney!!!
Jafars rendition of Prince Ali along with That bad azz laugh of his was dope
Gothel doesn’t just know how to gaslight, she also knows how to put out a banger!😂 Legit, Mother Knows Best is indeed the best!
Fun Fact: Pat Carroll wanted Ursula to have a villain song
😎 nice! You go grandma Arbuckle!
I’d say Hellfire is my favourite Disney villain song for how dark it is and it sounds awesome. But I also love Be Prepared, My Lullaby, Poor Unfortunate Souls, Gaston, Friends On The Other Side, Oogie Boogie’s song and so many others.
Yeah a lot of these are god tier
Once Upon a Time also provided us with 2 surprisingly catchy villain songs, and one even catchier anti-hero song:
Wicked Always Wins
Love Doesn't Stand a Chance
Revenge is Gonna Be Mine
Wait, are you talking about ABC's Once Upon a Time? That has music?
@@HaydrogenBomb There was one musical episode, close to the end of season 6
@@Ori_Kohav Was it good?
@@HaydrogenBomb I think it was
Oh I love those
Hellfire, The Mob Song, Be Prepared, Shiny, Friends on the Other Side, Oogie Boogie's Song, Mother Knows Best, Savages and Cruella De Vil are my favorites
My favourite Disney villain song is Gaston from Beauty and the Beast
My favourite non-Disney animated villain song is The Duchess I Must Be from The Loud House Movie
I thought "Friends on the other side" was the best villan song and then I heard "Hellfire" and I was just blown away. I am currently torn between which is better
I don't know about you but a villain song for The Evil Queen or Maleficent would have been iconic 😩
If you count OUAT The Evil Queen Regina gets ones and Maleficent sings in Desendants.
It wouldn't have fit their character. Do you really see Maleficent singing?
I don't think The Evil Queen or Maleficent are the kind of people who would willingly sing their own songs, as iconic of Villains they may be.
Scar was one of the few villains who succeeded in his schemes
No, quite a few of the villains succeed in their schemes to some degree; Scar probably did last the longest, although could be made for Maleficent.
Completely agree with # 2 (Hellfire) and # 1 (Be prepared)!
Switch Hellfire and Be Prepared and this list is perfect.
I saw number 1 coming before I clicked the video, and it is amazing, but let’s get it straight, Hellfire is the greatest Disney villain song.
Hellfire is the darkest of all the Disney villain songs.
To fit the most messed up villain
Scarlett Johnson delivered even better with her cover of "Trust in me" in the remake
I felt hypnotized in a beautiful tone
The Captain Hook song is so underrated. Its such a catchy song that you dont even think about the dark lyrics 👍🤣🤣🤣
Most villains sing about how evil they are or how they are going to take over the world or at least a kingdom, but Frollo sung about how he struggles to deal with his obsession
To be honest, as much as I love Disney, I didn’t have a thing for these villain songs but I do give my love to Trust In Me, Cruella De Vil and The World’s Greatest Criminal Mind. My highest faves is Crossing the Line and Ready As I’ll Ever Be, it’s not a movie but it’s the series of Tangled
Switch spot #1 & #2 and the list is perfect. Only because hellfire is disturbingly haunting.
I’m hoping “Be Prepared” is number one! I love Scar ❤️
Edit: Yay!!! My favorite Disney Villan.
Snuff Out The Light should’ve been on here. I know it got cut from The Emperor’s New Groove, but it got released and it’s amazing.
If you ask me, I think that ‘Cruella De Vil’, ‘Poor Unfortunate Souls’, and ’Be Prepared’, are the BESTEST Disney movie songs!
These Disney villain songs may all be different, but the one thing that they all have in common is that they all played a part in cementing the legacy of all these classic and iconic Disney villains into the history of animated films!
"Gaston" from Beauty and the Beast (1991) and "Mine, Mine, Mine" from Pocahontas (1995) show respectively villains' vices (Gaston's narcissism and Ratcliffe's greed).
My favourite Disney villain song is Gaston from Beauty and the Beast
My favourite non-Disney animated villain song is The Duchess I Must Be from The Loud House Movie
I love Be Prepared, actually one of the few lists where I enjoy the entire list, but…I mean…Poor Unfortunate Souls should be #1. Pat Carroll’s whole performance is just unmatched and set a very high standard for every Disney villain since that has not really been matched.
As nice as these songs, how is it that none of the songs from the Tarzan soundtrack are not on this list?
@@amwim-fau2247 There’s really no villain song in Tarzan though. Although that soundtrack is amazing.
@@amwim-fau2247 because it isn't a villain song
I had a very good feeling that "Be Prepared" from "The Lion King (1994 film)" would take the #1 spot, especially since it will always be my #1 favorite Disney villain song of all time.
Be Prepared is my favorite Disney villain song and always knew it’d be #1. It really captures Scar’s treachery, intelligence, arrogance, and charisma.
Savages deserved to be higher on the list, it's such a creepy, dark and realistic song. Shows both sides and the colors and designs are just amazing. For me, be prepared is also a really good villain song but hellfire imo deserved #1
Ursula’s VA has an amazing singing voice
Great list, its cool to see the sequels mentioned. The Hunchback of the Notre Dame is seriously one the most overlooked Disney films in history.
"Be prepared" is like a song for a terror movie
27:00 That is one scary goose step!
There's two versions of "World's Greatest Criminal Mind", one of course from the film and official soundtrack, but there's another version from the read-along book and cassette tape from the 80s. That one is even more sinister, as it goes more into detail about Ratigan drowning widows and orphans, taking great delight in watching them bob and sink.
My sister worked at a movie theater during The Princess and the Frog's release and "Friends On The Other Side" legitimately terrified a lot of kids. She said that they had multiple instances of kids coming out of the theater during that song crying and their parents wanting their money back. They eventually started warning people bringing young kids that part of it was really scary and they weren't going to offer refunds if the kids got too scared and wanted to leave.
Didn’t know that
My teacher saw The Jungle Book in theaters when she was little but when Kaa appeared, she screamed her heart out
Be prepared is the best villain song hands down 👑😈
Nope
"Be Prepared" is the best villain song for me!!!
Friends on the Other side foreshadowed the mayhem and I didn’t catch it till way too late 😂 but this list is accurate. Hellfire might’ve been number 1 for me. It was so dark but realistic af and you don’t understand Frollo without it.
I would add "Snuff Of The Light" which would have been Yzma's song in the Emperor's New Groove if it had been included in the film. Could have been a stunning performance in my opinion
YES YES YES
Anyone who cuts Eartha Kitts from anything should be severely punished
I know it’s a deleted song from the movie but got to admit, you’re right. I don’t care that Kronk’s New Groove is underrated but her villain song is catchy
You’re wrong when you say it was for The Emperor’s New Groove, since it was meant for ‘Kingdom of the Sun’, but you’re also somewhat right because Kingdom of the Sun would become The Emperor’s New Groove.
The order aside, let's just appreciate just how great these songs are! I've always been Team Villain for many characters here and then some. Thank you for keeping my childhood alive.
I had a feeling Hellfire would be number 2. Never scared me when I was a kid, it was just a epic villain entertainment
What about Be Prepared being number 1???
@@joshualowe959 It was pretty obvious and I was prepared to know
@@olvialee7221 How was it obvious? Hellfire is more scary and sinister than be prepared in my opinion and apparently a lot of people think that way as well hehe
@@aracelichely2954 I’m not a Disney expert but The Lion King is King of all Disney Movies
Villain songs are the best songs in Disney movies!
My favourite Disney villain song is Gaston from Beauty and the Beast
My favourite non-Disney animated villain song is The Duchess I Must Be from The Loud House Movie
Tamatoa's "Diamond in the rough" made me instantly think of "My Shot"
PERFECT
Hot take: doctor facilier is the waluigi of the Disney villains (physically)
I love those characters
What about We are Siamese from Lady and the Tramp?! That one always gets in my head& it’s a personal favourite.
The Siamese Cats aren’t actually villains in the movie. Got to admit, they have a catchy villain song but they don’t do anything bad villain wise in the whole movie
You Gotta Admit..Hellfire Is Beautiful Yet Sinister.
I agree with Top 3 but Hellfire should be №1. So Му Top 3:
1. Hellfire
2. Be Prepared
3. Poor Unfortunate Souls
Finally the oogie boogie song gets the rub it deserves!!
We don't talk about Bruno is like the Cruella song. Except they were wrong about him. But technically a villian song.
I think "My Lullaby" should have been higher up on this list. It has some of the darkest lyrics in any Disney Villain song ("The sound of Simba's dying breath, His daughter squealing in my grasp, His lioness's mournful cry that's my lullaby" (also) "A symphony of death oh my! That's my lullaby" (also) "Scar is gone but Zira is still around to love this little lad, 'Til he learns to be a KILLER with a lust for being bad"). It's basically a song about a mom who is so consumed by revenge and hate that she intends on raising her son to carry out her revenge and make him a monster consumed by hate. It acts basically as dark foreshadowing of what is to come if Zira wins which then makes us, the audience, all the more anxious to see what happens.
It's not in any way the BEST Disney villain song, but it definitely deserved to be higher than 18th on this list.
“Be Prepared “ is my favorite Disney villain song!
can you imagine a musical hand drawn animated disney revival character portrayed by Alfred Molina?
Every animated Disney film ranked
40: Ever since I was a kid, my cousin Fancy loves Oogy Boogy’s villain song
I would have added "In the Dark of the Night" from Anastasia. Otherwise, I agree with your picks.
Fantastic list
My favourite Disney villain song is Gaston from Beauty and the Beast
My favourite non-Disney animated villain song is The Duchess I Must Be from The Loud House Movie
Aladdin Will always be the movie with the best songs!
Agreed with Friend Like Me, Prince Ali, One Jump Ahead and A Whole New World
@@williamfairchild7439 I would love to meet Linda Larkin and/or Lea salonga
Cruella De Vil, Poor Unfortunate Souls, and Mother Knows Best are my absolute favorites! Painting the Roses Red is the most underrated song in my opinion too!
Edit: If any of the songs from Coco count then tbh they are all amazing
My favourite Disney villain song is Gaston from Beauty and the Beast
My favourite non-Disney animated villain song is The Duchess I Must Be from The Loud House Movie
Honestly, I think one of the things that makes Hellfire such a fantastic villain song is the stark contrast to the song playing literally seconds earlier: Heaven's Light. The two songs couldn't possibly be more different, and that highlights how evil Frollo and Hellfire is.
"Savages" from Pocahontas (1995) is Caucasians vs. Native Americans version of "The Mob Song" from Beauty and the Beast (1991). In fact, both Pocahontas, and the original animated Beauty and the Beast star David Ogden Stiers and were scored by Alan Menken.
"Friends on the Other Side" from The Princess and the Frog (2009) is Jazz and Voodoo version of "Poor Unfortunate Souls" from The Little Mermaid (1989). Additionally, both The Princess and the Frog, and The Little Mermaid were both directed by John Musker and Ron Clements.
My favourite Disney villain song is Gaston from Beauty and the Beast
My favourite non-Disney animated villain song is The Duchess I Must Be from The Loud House Movie
So many good villain songs in this list and I’m glad Be Prepared was #1. The Lion King was the first Disney film I ever saw and so it will always have a special place in my heart :)
Be Prepared is great but how is Hellfire not number 1.
Ok I love all Disney villains songs🥰🥰
My favourite Disney villain song is Gaston from Beauty and the Beast
My favourite non-Disney animated villain song is The Duchess I Must Be from The Loud House Movie
Poor Unfortunate Souls is definitely my number one, but this is still a great list!
Mine too
37: I’ve been waiting for this list!!
How about "In The Dark of Night" from Anastasia ?
Not sure if they count it because Anastasia didn’t become a Disney movie until Disney bought out Fox studio
@@emmaray6215 That’s true
