All about mindset. You could have all the physical tools in the world, but if your mind isn’t in the right place it’ll eat you up. I always told myself that I could take down anyone, and that no one could take me down. If I got on bottom, I would say no one can hold me down. Pretty amazing how creative your mind becomes when these thoughts are floating in your head. You’ll do anything to get a takedown or not get taken down. Great tips!
Litterly every since I’ve been hearing myself pushing me hard everytime I want to give up on a 4 mile run my mind tell me keep going and some how I push through the mind is powerful for instance I would hear stuff like if your legs are able to walk you are able to run the motivation I’ve been having is insane I thank God for the spirit he gave me
Mindset and confidence is everything. If you’re not confident you can win, you’ll be afraid to shoot in or go for that throw when you see the opening. You need to believe you will win
My coach always said it was 90% mental, 10% physical, and it's true. My 1st year of wrestling I lost every match, 2nd year I won only 3. It was absolutely a confidence issue. One coach that seemed to see smth in me started constantly saying I have no excuses to lose w how hard I worked and that I should believe I can beat anyone, and I spent the last 2 yrs of wrestling medalling at almost every tourney I went to. Thank you coach Powers💪
During my ever first tournament, a player’s father noticed that I was looking a little nervous, and without knowing who I was or what school I was from, he gave me a pep talk. The most memorable part of it was “There are only winners and learners, no such thing as losers.” Love that guy wherever he is now.
Thanks for the nerves one cause I always get nervous before a match and it was starting to discourage me from the sport but this instantly calmed me down thank you
For whoever needs to hear this... Whatever your mind can conceive and believe, your mind can achieve. Whenever you go out on the mat think to yourself I am a national (or state) champion and I have to defend my title. Whenever you go to practice think to yourself I am the best but I have to practice harder to stay the best. This is your year and as long as you keep a mindset that you are the best and can prove it, there's no reason why you shouldn't win nationals (or states) this year. Practice hard, focus and just do it!
Great stuff! The biggest misconception and tip I give to athletes and parents is it’s a long season and off season work hard but don’t ignore maintenance and recovery. Injury and burnout is underrated. The ultimate goal is to make it to march and peak when it matters the most.
I didn’t start wrestling till junior year and had no prior experience with any sport but I really enjoyed wrestling and I had a really good first year and was 1 win away from qualifying for state but I struggled with my mind set and I can say that if I hadn’t gone into the district and regional match’s thinking everyone was better than me I would’ve preformed a lot better but I still enjoyed every minute of it
As a thin guy who has never really done any sort of sport. I’m really nervous to start wrestling freshman year with some of my bigger friends and season starts soon so I will keep these in mind while I workout.
I struggle with confidence and don't know how to gain it, I'm 14-0 on my senior season rn and I still get scared before every match even against people who have a losing record
My worst habit in high school was I’d tell myself the worst possible situation, didn’t matter how high level I got, state, nationals, I would get myself so psyched out that I wasn’t even there and it’d be surreal every time I won.
when i first saw this a year ago i was thinking hes wrong i got to treat it like its the end of the world but if your not having fun why do it at all, god bless see you at the top
Awesome 😎💯😎 thanks I appreciate your information ℹ️. I wrestle for fun and fitness. I have no formal back ground. Their has been no opportunity to learn. Congratulations 🎉🎆🎉!
I love your videos. I just finished my 3rd wrestling season and missed out on state. I’m saving all your informational vids to help me become just as good as you
It does matter if you win or lose though. Because truly champions don’t really lose unless it’s to someone who out crafted them or has better conditioning
Love you man but the first tip is something I can’t be ok with winning and loosing isn’t optional it’s a choice you make on that matt the second the ref blows that whistle to me . I’ve lost to many things in my life and WRESLING won’t be one of them🙏🏽
I need a massive amount of help I’m in my junior year of hs and I’m js now going into wrestling I’m 6’0 and 210 lbs I’m on the hefty side and I don’t know shit I js know I’ve always been on the bigger side not rlly fat I got a good bit of muscle on me but idk I feel like imma suck ass😭
Hey bro! I've been looking for you on TikTok, Chrome, and finally got you here. Hey man, I want to buy that shirt! Please respond and tell me where to go!
Whenever I wrestle I always let the special moves fly. That way it’s fun
Like a john dupont gut wrenches and arm drags with a side of headlock

Hopefully you don’t mind I’m going to use that!
At practice Monday, Yep!
Mindset and confidence is everything. If you’re not confident you can win, you’ll be afraid to shoot in or go for that throw when you see the opening. You need to believe you will win
Honestly, the amount of power you feel when your mind is in the right place it’s crazy what you can do

How did u do in the tournament
I love your story. Maybe you will be that man for another young wrestler oneday, who doesn't have a father to tell him.
And then he punches you in the balls
bro that quote goes cold
@@shakoiatenhawithacrossjaco9051LMAO
He goes from "just a game" to "can't lose". Love that.
You are one stupid man
This is video is perfect for freshman just starting wrestling
Fr I’m in 8th grade but I just started and videos like these help a ton!

Tip number 4: keep a positive attitude no matter what situation
I just started wrestling a month ago and I’m 0-5 and this video motivated me, I’m looking for my first W this Saturday 💪🏼
Aye, man,
Even Luffy got his ass beat twice in a row!
At least you're in it! Part of me wants to join a school, but my ass is 39, already 👴🏼
Final tip: Use your superpower, especially your heat vision
The nerves tip could help me a lot because i get tired whenever i get nervous
Great stuff! The biggest misconception and tip I give to athletes and parents is it’s a long season and off season work hard but don’t ignore maintenance and recovery. Injury and burnout is underrated. The ultimate goal is to make it to march and peak when it matters the most.
Love how quick to the point but genuine this is

@@ABCD-verse that’s great . I’m still doing club practices and looking into join bjj classes too because I really enjoy grappling sports .
I 100% agree took me 10 years to figure this out on my own, but not only does it make you better, it makes it more fun!
Things that made me better I think was getting the perfect mindset and winning the mental battle
Great advice Cayden, you're wise beyond your years. You're spreading hope to a younger generation.
Tip 1: its just wrestling match take it easy
Tip 3: wrestle like its impossible to lose
This isn't just wrestling advice this is life advice.
Bro the first one helped me so much!
Yessir
@Jack lol
I just remember my girl is watching and I gotta show who’s boss 😂
As a thin guy who has never really done any sort of sport. I’m really nervous to start wrestling freshman year with some of my bigger friends and season starts soon so I will keep these in mind while I workout.
Bro these are tips for anything in life. Wtf I wanted actual tips
I struggle with confidence and don't know how to gain it, I'm 14-0 on my senior season rn and I still get scared before every match even against people who have a losing record
I’ve watched this a couple times before a big match and it really lets the nerves out
My worst habit in high school was I’d tell myself the worst possible situation, didn’t matter how high level I got, state, nationals, I would get myself so psyched out that I wasn’t even there and it’d be surreal every time I won.
how did you get over this way of thinking?
@@Wrtvrxgvcf55 practice harder, practice so hard that I know nobody is out working me, have to have faith in the work you’re doing
#1 and #2 really Help
I agree in the last one
And all the others ofc but the last is literally a game changer
I’m tryna work as hard as I can so that when the wrestling season comes, win or lose, you can’t tell me nothing
If you are typing comments like this then it probably failed, just wondering how did this go?
these tips will help my jiujitsu too
Ima remember and use that last tip the most my season is about to start
I didn’t know Homelander was wrestling now
The last tip helps me all the time in every aspect in life
I could have used this video 18 years ago, when I was in school.
Good job Man!
when i first saw this a year ago i was thinking hes wrong i got to treat it like its the end of the world but if your not having fun why do it at all, god bless see you at the top
I’m going into my first year of wrestling this year and I really think these might come in handy when the season starts
I love the last tip!!!
This stuff applies to any competition! Good advice 👍
Awesome 😎💯😎 thanks
I appreciate your information ℹ️. I wrestle for fun and fitness. I have no formal back ground. Their has been no opportunity to learn. Congratulations 🎉🎆🎉!
These are just good tips for any martial artist
I love your videos. I just finished my 3rd wrestling season and missed out on state. I’m saving all your informational vids to help me become just as good as you
I should probably focus on the third one
This will help ty
This really helped me because tomorrow I have the finals match to win my school the tournament finals that we haven’t won in 50 years
This helps I don’t know why but tournaments are not here yet for me and I am scared for some reason this helped a lot ❤
first one actually matters a lot
thanks for the tips, just had a wrestling match and I got suplexed
Thanks bro you have helped me
It does matter if you win or lose though. Because truly champions don’t really lose unless it’s to someone who out crafted them or has better conditioning
Not early on
3rd tip is golden 🤝
How many wrestling spar round does best wrestler do in one day
As coach says hate losing more than you love winning
When I started to do wrestling I had the mindset that no one could beat me if I locked in 24/7
Love you man but the first tip is something I can’t be ok with winning and loosing isn’t optional it’s a choice you make on that matt the second the ref blows that whistle to me . I’ve lost to many things in my life and WRESLING won’t be one of them🙏🏽
Cayden when hes in the match for #1 in the nation: its just a wrestling match
Good tips
I wish I had this mindset during regionals
These help so much
This sounds stupid and cheesy but it’s really true I’ve never been A better wrestler
Tip #4 always go for that John jones eye poke
just went 1-3 in my tournament, wish i had seen this sooner
Good advice
Thank you for this
Bro thanks I be wrestling for a while am still scared I’m going to lose but thanks for that have a wrestling tournament tomorrow
Nerves come from not wanting to get slammed into the ground and breaking my nose
The first thing to remember is to always have fun!
I'm one of those people who needs to feel like an underdog to do my best. The pressure makes me better so the last tip wouldn't help me much.
bro did the Karelin lift at the start 😂
i always get so nervous the second i shake their hand
As your walk in you should be dressed as homelander, you have a striking resemblance to the actor I forgot his name
Thank you, I'm a young wrestler and this is my third year, I'm going up against older kids and I'm getting my butt kicked this year
Become better by not losing, simple
Have a great coach
Thanks Cayden😊
Good thing I watched this I have a tournament in 2 days
I literally need you as a personal trainer
This dude looks like homelander

Don’t have a big ego hard, work determination, lastly wrestle like if you loose you die.
Bruh i wish i knew this back in the day 😅
Those are 3 tips that drove me to be state champ back in 2015
They probably didn’t don’t lie to yourself, it’s most likely the training and the good athletic genetics you had to achieve this.
Thanks
You the man
bro gut wrenched like the russian bear
I always like to think that I'm the underdog because it fires me up
That’s how I am in sparring or a tournament I just say it’s you vs yourself
Bro thx for the tips because I’m getting destroyed in these matches
Go 7 minutes straight live, with a good partner 3 times a day with no out of bounds, and you will jump levels quickly.
I’m a girl who does wrestling and they all think I’m weak and horrible and I train and practice all week and gain a lot of strenght
There's guys that just have definitions and look more trained than me and in the first round they are already tire
Wish I knew this when I was younger
Cool, dude!
Hey bro! I've been looking for you on TikTok, Chrome, and finally got you here.
Hey man, I want to buy that shirt! Please respond and tell me where to go!
its about winning
Bro today was my first day of wrestling and it was hell we had to run for 1 hour straight
Tip one is for all sports
Cayden I have used these tips for so long and I have a really tough match tomorrow is it good I already have a game plan
