an excuse i heard through a friend cuz it was what she heard was that there was a delay in sending out refunds and stimulus checks cuz there were so many requests and stimulus checks to send out they had to freeze the process so its going super slowly now cuz apparently they have requests all the way from last year to process and send out still but i did me and my boyfriends at the same time in march like same day i did mine while he was at work and then helped him do his once he came home from work cuz my friend helped me figure out how to do mine and i received my stuff back in April and i did direct deposit and my boyfriend doesnt have a bank account but there was an option to receive a card from them where they wld send his money too since he didnt wanna receive a check he wanted to have a card and figured hed probably get it faster that way and he still hasnt received anything but he did receive one of the fraud letters mentioned in the video asking him verify his identity tbh we thought it was a scam but now that i watched that and know its not it cant hurt to try doing it and see if it works once he gets home tonight and hopefully he receives it soon

Can't get through on the number they provide call at 7 am an it set to hang up. This is unfortunate, if I where to owe. I know it wouldn't be a hassle for them to snacth my earnings. What a wonderful system we work hard to live in.

Filed my tax in February and it kept saying processing for like 3months, called them throughout the 3months which was extremely difficult to get a hold of. When I finally did speak to someone, they were like there is no issue just a matter of waiting and so I got tired of waiting and called again and they said 10 weeks max and if you done received it call back which I did and than they told me I should be receiving a letting for id verification due to fraud and by this time it was June smh, when I got the letter a week later I couldn’t verify online so I then had to call them which was another two weeks to get a hold of them and they verified my information on the phone and now I have to wait nine weeks which is pretty much the next two months. So pretty much I won’t be getting my money back til the end of August and I filed back in February so annoying and inconvenient.

I did my taxes in March, haven’t received the stimulus either and added my baby that I had in 2020. I don’t even think I will receive the $300 that will start in July.. I am frustrated because things have been tight.
I had my 3rd son the day the world shut down and I talked to someone from IRS today they said as long as you claimed your baby on the 2020 taxes you will receive it.

I've been waiting for mine for about 11 weeks now , haven't heard anything from anyone , called the guy that did my returns and got a ( unfortunately there's nothing we can do , but wait ) kinda answer ...so it really doesn't help that you just have to wait and hope that they will eventually get to you whenever .....

Same here.. I got a letter because my state didn't report my unemployment so they asked for proof fax it the same day that was Feb 29th ..I called them they told me april.. I tried calling for days and just gave up.. so here I am still waiting..
I filed first week of March . I also have one child credit literally just checked .I finally got a day for my refund. And I also paid unemployment taxes .Before the bill was passed . I even heard single filers having problems. State was no problem. But federal was a wait. It was accepted the day I filed. I literally been waiting for my refund since March literally. Check the IRS where's my refund. I've been getting it's getting processed for months.

Ur refunds are taking long because they are 16M behind and they are double checking the stimlus checks the 1st and 2nd rd i had a client file feb 12th she filing received it june 29th ive spoke with the irs several times they are still behind from last year the id theft is not really a reason it being delayed from what they told me

I tried to do all that but couldn’t get through to the IRS. I’ve been flagged twice once in 2020 and this year. And the website still doesn’t let you verify using a debit card account.
The problem with IRS now is that if you file by mail, They simply do not show in their system that they have received the paperwork, so you cannot claim that interest. I have been waiting for 3 months and I am now being told that I would need to refile because The paperwork must have been lost.

I filed in March...I received a letter and tried calling the number on it....after several attempts..I decided to make an appointment to go speak to someone in person...My appointment date is August 17th...😭 I suggest you guys do both: make an appointment & continue to try calling. Good luck 🤞

I just called today and they said ‘due to high volume calls they can’t answer ‘filed back in March still processing and honestly idek what to say .Also didn’t receive any last year .
I have been doing exactly what you said but at the end was not able to get any answer. Everytime I enter my information by phone or using the web site Here is my Refund or the cell application giving my ss# date of filing, classification and amount of refund, they just said NO RECORD MATCH THIS INFORMATION. My CPA emailed my Income tax forms on March 26, 2021. I have the form sent to him by IRS as proof that IRS receive it. When I contacted IRS there is not way you can talk to a person therefore the recording answer is always the same. It advise you to Check our website or Contact IRS by phone. This is a catch 22 situation. I opted to require a 2020 TRANSCRIPT but again the system is telling me to verify my identity but after spending a lot of time going back and forth to my e-mail to enter the codes to create a new password, the last step said that they need to send another code to my cell home. It never arrived therefore I was again left with no way to ask for the transcript. They warns that sometimes the IRS cannot access all mobile phones. I do not remember if I have my old line land as my only phone but right now I have a mobile iphone and THERE IS NO WAY THAT THE SYSTEM LET YOU TO CHANGE YOUR PHONE NUMBER. What can I do?
Are people sharing children to get the child tax credit. Often wonder about this. Would not surprise me at all. I feel bad for people who file honestly and are still waiting, but am glad IRS is checking this out. I wish the IRS could issue each filer an extra number to use on their 2021 taxes that fraudsters do not know about to confirm that you are who you say you are May help from getting worse, at least for awhile. Just a suggestion when you provide something like phone numbers for people to call, leave the number on the screen long enough that someone can write it down!

Why is no one holding Biden accountable for this. Why can’t he address the issue. I voted for Biden but he’s not doing a great job. Haven’t gotten a penny of neither stimulus or my tax refund. Gas prices keep going way up I’m almost paying $4.00 a gallon. Everything keeps getting more expensive. Just like we got on trumps ass about everything. We have to keep the same energy with Biden and his administration.
There is only a fraction of tax fraud victims. I think the majority of people who are getting the refund have not receive a letter that someone is using their ID. You should mention to these people who are non recipients of ID fraud to complete IRS Form 3911. It will take about 6 month for IRS to respond but at least the IRS should answer. I there is a non response, then use the copy of the letter with a 911 Form for Taxpayer Advocate Assistance.
"bigger refund due to delays" nope! I filed in March... Had to get in the website to prove it was really me, got my taxes back on June 22nd.... 17 extra dollars... That's like a dollar and some odd cents per week it was delayed.

The irs sent me a letter in the mail to confirm my identity and every time I try to they tell me my address i’m confirming with is wrong lol meanwhile they literally mailed it to my address yet say that address is wrong so I have NO way to confirm my identity to get my money because they reject and appointment in person because I can’t confirm my identity by address even though i have my social, birth certificate, and license numbers and everything else they need. I had a baby in 2020 so this is literally all of my stimulus, my income tax, and my child’s stimulus and I can’t even get my freaking money lol it’s like a joke..

I've been waiting for mine for about 11 weeks now , haven't heard anything from anyone , called the guy that did my returns and got a ( unfortunately there's nothing we can do , but wait ) kinda answer ...so it really doesn't help that you just have to wait and hope that they will eventually get to you whenever .....

I filed first week of March . I also have one child credit literally just checked .I finally got a day for my refund. And I also paid unemployment taxes .Before the bill was passed . I even heard single filers having problems. State was no problem. But federal was a wait. It was accepted the day I filed. I literally been waiting for my refund since March literally. Ur refunds are taking long because they are 16M behind and they are double checking the stimlus checks the 1st and 2nd rd i had a client file feb 12th she filing received it june 29th ive spoke with the irs several times they are still behind from last year the id theft is not really a reason it being delayed from what they told me

I tried to do all that but couldn’t get through to the IRS. I’ve been flagged twice once in 2020 and this year. And the website still doesn’t let you verify using a debit card account.
The problem with IRS now is that if you file by mail, They simply do not show in their system that they have received the paperwork, so you cannot claim that interest. I have been waiting for 3 months and I am now being told that I would need to refile because The paperwork must have been lost.

I filed in March...I received a letter and tried calling the number on it....after several attempts..I decided to make an appointment to go speak to someone in person...My appointment date is August 17th...😭 I suggest you guys do both: make an appointment & continue to try calling. Good luck 🤞

I just called today and they said ‘due to high volume calls they can’t answer ‘filed back in March still processing and honestly idek what to say .Also didn’t receive any last year .
I have been doing exactly what you said but at the end was not able to get any answer. Everytime I enter my information by phone or using the web site Here is my Refund or the cell application giving my ss# date of filing, classification and amount of refund, they just said NO RECORD MATCH THIS INFORMATION. My CPA emailed my Income tax forms on March 26, 2021. I have the form sent to him by IRS as proof that IRS receive it. When I contacted IRS there is not way you can talk to a person therefore the recording answer is always the same. It advise you to Check our website or Contact IRS by phone. This is a catch 22 situation. I opted to require a 2020 TRANSCRIPT but again the system is telling me to verify my identity but after spending a lot of time going back and forth to my e-mail to enter the codes to create a new password, the last step said that they need to send another code to my cell home. It never arrived therefore I was again left with no way to ask for the transcript. They warns that sometimes the IRS cannot access all mobile phones. I do not remember if I have my old line land as my only phone but right now I have a mobile iphone and THERE IS NO WAY THAT THE SYSTEM LET YOU TO CHANGE YOUR PHONE NUMBER. What can I do?

Are people sharing children to get the child tax credit. Often wonder about this. Would not surprise me at all. I feel bad for people who file honestly and are still waiting, but am glad IRS is checking this out. I wish the IRS could issue each filer an extra number to use on their 2021 taxes that fraudsters do not know about to confirm that you are who you say you are May help from getting worse, at least for awhile. They should put this on all tv stations just before tax season every year.

Just a suggestion when you provide something like phone numbers for people to call, leave the number on the screen long enough that someone can write it down!

Why is no one holding Biden accountable for this. Why can’t he address the issue. I voted for Biden but he’s not doing a great job. Haven’t gotten a penny of neither stimulus or my tax refund. Gas prices keep going way up I’m almost paying $4.00 a gallon. Everything keeps getting more expensive. Just like we got on trumps ass about everything. We have to keep the same energy with Biden and his administration.

There is only a fraction of tax fraud victims. I think the majority of people who are getting the refund have not receive a letter that someone is using their ID. You should mention to these people who are non recipients of ID fraud to complete IRS Form 3911. It will take about 6 month for IRS to respond but at least the IRS should answer. I there is a non response, then use the copy of the letter with a 911 Form for Taxpayer Advocate Assistance.
"bigger refund due to delays" nope! I filed in March... Had to get in the website to prove it was really me, got my taxes back on June 22nd.... 17 extra dollars... That's like a dollar and some odd cents per week it was delayed.

The irs sent me a letter in the mail to confirm my identity and every time I try to they tell me my address i’m confirming with is wrong lol meanwhile they literally mailed it to my address yet say that address is wrong so I have NO way to confirm my identity to get my money because they reject and appointment in person because I can’t confirm my identity by address even though i have my social, birth certificate, and license numbers and everything else they need. I had a baby in 2020 so this is literally all of my stimulus, my income tax, and my child’s stimulus and I can’t even get my freaking money lol it’s like a joke..
