The dirt you dig in has had cover crop to compliment it is friable. The most inexpensive way to amend soil. Most likely annual rye grass. Notice the long root system, and the dark soil. The park management should be commended. I am looking forward to more videos. You have mastered the Legend! Thanks for the video.
I love how the Legend pin points, even among trash, and how silent it runs. I pulled 7 wheaties, a nickel, two silver dimes and a pile of Lincoln pennies from my neighbors place, where I only found four pennies before. Yes, it pulls screw caps, but learning to hear those as iffy signals.
gday, would it be possible to hear the different tones,i.e low mid high, maybe do a little walk just to see how fast it is and how able to pick out the highs in trashy parks.cheers.
I used to like the first shovel you used about 4 years ago or so. It was curved. I have invested in high end shovels and they last a very long time. I like the idea of flags... that way you can do all your digging after you find the targets. Also it presents a physical representation of where stuff is in the ground. You can concentrate your search in one area.
You are right. I havent mentioned that before but you can sometimes get a pattern from all the flags. The other digger was a predator raptor model 31. I really liked them but I kept breaking them so I gave up on them. The wilcox trowel I am using now works good.
I have a site where I find mid 1800s items literally on the surface OR 10 inches deep. It's ridiculous and I have no idea how it happens lol. It's pure forest so it hasn't been land filled or plowed. It is however pretty rocky soil.
@@DirtFishing Not much use for headphones if you're making videos I suppose. Although you can run speaker and headphones at the same time with the legend.
@@DirtFishing Thanks Bill ! I don't like using headphones but my high pitch hearing loss is noticeable. I see the Legend vibrates also. I could save $$ without them! LOL
Rocks etc, rough! You're ready to Stab 4 inches into the ground, WHAM! Stopped instantly, lol!

You can almost tell they are screw caps by the numbers. Sounds like you did real good in you neighbors yard.

The tones can be adjusted many ways. I can put it on, say like 6 tones and no discrimination and walk around so you can hear the different tones.

Nice Wheatie!
Thanks.
About depth, I have found a 1906 indian on the surface mixed with the grass NOT in the ground. It wasn't corroded but it had some aging.
I once found an old barber dime about 2 inches deep. You just never know.

Good morning to go Metal Detecing. Nice video
Thanks Tim.
@@DirtFishing I just left the park in Tipton
I gotta stop watching you use the Legend, Bill! Love it! Have you used the wireless headphones? I'm about ready to make the buy!
I have never even used the headphones.....Lol. I charge them ever once in a while just to keep the batter up.
