I keep all the donated fabric for our Project Linus group. Sometimes I think about donating those scraps, but NO! Think how many quilts we can make it is them 😂
I've said it before and I'll say it again: you are the reason I'm a scrap addict! I too use sewing like this to "de-stress". It's how I play 😅 thank you for all you do!
Beautiful! I love scrap quilts. I did laugh, though, when you said you brought "just one little basket of scraps." It's amazing how one little pile can make such a beautiful quilt.
I was hoping to see a baby quilt project and once again, here's one that fits the bill! I love the scrappy block and the background fabric is darling. Thank you for sharing your creativity with all of your quilt fans!
Another great video. I love scrap quilts but always need to have a pattern plan. I want to teach/ train myself to be more relaxed and just enjoy sewing pieces together. Thanks for the inspiration.❤
Love it! I make Duckworth quilts with my crumbs, strips and scraps. I use one color I.e. orange or pink. Of course other colors always creep in. But it’s fun. I make the for Valley Children Hospital. But now I want to make this quilt you just made. So adorable 💛🧡🩵
I loved the blocks on the floor, it looked like a large print used as the background. It was cool looking and unusual. It is beautiful the way you made it but I think I will try it with a large print.
fabrics are my happy place and crumbs and scraps are my heart! I can pass on yardage that I will not use, but don't try to pry my scraps out sewing room! Thanks for the great ideas~ Another Beth
So beautiful. You have Influenced me to sew scrap quilts. I have completed four for some 13 yr. olds who are friends of my youngest granddaughter. They all love them. One is for Christmas for this last one.😊👍💝
NOTE: My first stop once arriving at Joann Fabrics is the remnant bin. Should one want to purchase these items and thereby increase their scaps from remnants. They are great bargains. Just saying...
Donate quilts into the mountains of NC where people that have lost everything will be freezing as temps drop. To the Wesleyan Church in Old Fort, NC or the 1st Baptist Church in Swannanoa NC or the First United Methodist Church in Marion NC. Only the churches are helping the Gov is NOT there helping.

A basket of scraps, a sewing machine, a fairly quiet campground, and a little trailer in the shade. How can it get better than that 🙂
@@karens1967 sounds perfect 😍
Beth, I had to laugh when you said "I had to talk myself out of buying more scraps". 😅 That never seems to be a issue with us quilters!

Hi Beth, I’m a amateur quilter and when I try to make a scrap quilt, it does look like scrap your alway look beautiful. Xx
Your quilts are probably lovely. Many quilters feel the same way when they're just beginning. Just don't forget that finished is better than perfect
If you stop and think about it-
No matter what we do, WE are usually our worst critic.🤔🥰. Just keep on keepin on!! ❤️😀

Adorable scrappy quilt. How fun to sew on vacation on your little featherweight. Did you make the colorful spool holder?
Yes. Here's the video -ua-cam.com/video/CNYzFkK-Y2Y/v-deo.htmlsi=tmRw4qeKisWqB8Ad
❤️
Beth, I always enjoy watching your videos. Love this scrappy quilt. How did you determine how large to make the square for your side triangles?
I did a little measuring. :)
😀
You can buy a stick on cutter to put on your machine
Do you have any tips on using satin as a sashing? I’m making a quilt for my niece and using her mother‘s silk wedding gown material for the Sashing.
I would only recommend using pins. Maybe someone who knows more will chime in.
Do you have a pattern for the pad under your spool? Enjoyed watching this.❤😊

Here's the video on my channel. The pattern is from the featherweight shop.
@@bethshibleyquilts thank you!!
What model Featherweight do you have? I am tempted to get one. Where did you get it?
I have a 221. I purchased it on eBay. I also found another at a thrift shop.👍 keep your eyes peeled 🙂
Whilst you are sewing what is your partner doing? Love you work 😊
The family typically is playing tennis or basketball while I sew for a bit.
What about tutorials using yardage, not all of us out here likes precuts.
