Not really Pocari’s typical content but I came back to rewatch a few months later and this is genuinely super helpful, I have approximately two and a half brain cells and it was easy enough for me to follow :D
PSA: you only need 2 hours, not 10, you NEED to PLAY, as in chat and interact with the world and other players, if you're idling or too mute, the timer won't count, my friend made a temp password for me to play in his account while he was at work, it only needed about 2:40 hours playing around with Murder Mystery and Cards against humanity to get working
Does only walking around and talking to other people count still towards the timer?
@@space_fox12 you don't need to be a talking machine, but you can't be mute either, y7ou can try to play some games like Cards Against Humanity or Murder Mystery with light communications, as long ah you not completely mute
What if you're like actually mute? Does typing in some sort of chat still count?

As a game design student, I can say that rigging a model may be easy once you know what to do, but can be difficult to get the correct hitbox in game if exported the wrong way
I am slightly obsessed with VRChat at the moment, so this was especially interesting. (I don't even have a real computer to use VRChat, though. I get by with videos others made.)
Have you seen the furry dancing competition hosted in a VRChat world? It's worth watching! (I can't remember the name of it, but it was part of a virtual con.)

IDK why VR chat won't let you to choose your avatar straight away. And I'm hoping to get a VR chat compatible model of Bruzo in the future. So i can be there as well and those in VR can also meet my argonian self there. Also I really love your avatar as they are so adorable. I want to try VR chat myself. But I'm thinking about shopping around for makers that makes argonians for VR chat avatars.

No it's not. I had a friend help me to pick out a free big cat furry AV. We got it done in a short time. Granted it is not a custom furry. If you want it to be a unique furry that is yours alone, best to pay the money to have someone skilled to make it for you.

Even in 2023 where the unity version has changed a lot, and the SDK, this is still a great tutorial. I watched this entire thing even though I know how to do all of this stuff by myself and even do custom stuff involving taking an FBX, doing facial gestures, toggles and outfit switches :3

im not a 3d modelling expert or too experienced in this field but imo some of the smoothest and most well done vrchat models are the furry ones imo, the movement of the ears, mouth, arms, fluff, etc. flow really well and have amazing rigs

Heya! If you want to use PsyBones (the stuff that makes the ears or tail jiggles like the ones in Pocari's avatar) and on Oculus Quest 2, there is a limit of 8. (If on PCVR, there isn't a limit I know of) Do one PsyBone for each ear at the beginning. Then, do all of the tail. The PsyBones are included in the SDK. So all you have to do is type in PsyBones in components at the bottom of the inspector and click the first one. Finally, adjust it to your liking! Hoped this helped!
Just now getting into pc vr. Don't have any gear yet but I plan to get a eye and face tracker. Have there been any changes I need to be aware of?
@@FenrirPlays-z9r Hm, It's been awhile since I've looked at the eye and face tracking market. Though, I have heard that the new Meta Quest Pro has eye tracking and I think some mouth tracking. Also, there's a Vive headset that supports eye tracking. Though, its overpriced. I think the best option would either be the Meta Quest Pro or just some attachments that support it.

This helped quite a bit! I always wanted to make my own avatars. Not necessarily a fursuit, but this still helped! I couldn't figure out how to work unity, so this helped alot
Currently working on a game in Unity, and holy cow, that Dynamic Bone asset looks amazing! Might need to work that into my project. Random tip if you are working with avatars in Unity much - if you hold down the right mouse button, you can use WASD to move around the scene and it's way more intuitive than some of the other methods!

Tip for anyone DIYing their fursona; use blender and whatever you do, don’t use squares. Use 3d circles and use the sculpting tool to achieve the shape you want and learn how to mirror shapes, it will make your life SO much easier.

i remember a few months ago I was gonna use this tutorial to make a vrchat avatar but i didn't feel like buying a model, so i held back on it. then yesterday I was bored at a party so I looked for a free fox model and made a whole working avatar in one night. never underestimate the art of procrastination.
