Samalamb Bases on DeviantArt makes really great bases, but they aren't for reference sheets. Also! For those who don't have tolerance for their magic wand tool, simply go to the 'select' tab and expand the selection by around 3-7 pixels!

On a serious note. This really helped me. I'm trying to sketch some ideas and this is helping me get an understand of what to do
One day I was bored and decided to draw fursona. So I drew it in a corner of notebook, took picture of it and then traced lines in Autodesk SketchBook app (in another layer, like you showed). I knew it was not good but I was proud of myself because I don't know how to draw nor ever tried drawing anything similar. Btw, I never watched any tutorial before and was trying to be completely original. Hope you understood everything
good way to get a fursona if you have no idea to design/draw, view high quality furry adopts from people and buy those (that's how I got my hyena fursona, love her alot)
The music in the beggining still spooks me because your the only youtuber I know about that has louder vids than 2% volumetric forms (my phone suggested that volume was spelt like volumetric so I have no idea if it's what I thought it was)
i just started watching pocari again after MONTHS and MONTHS and when the theme song came on in the beginning a wave of nostalgia hit me outta no where 😭😭
Color pallets also help yourself draw with the exact colors so even if you aren't planning to commission the color pallete is really nice. Trust me I had to learn that the hard way :"V
As someone who took three years of Graphic Design and Commercial Graphic Design in high school, two years of GD with a year of CGD between, I cannot stress enough how helpful a drawing tablet is. On a related but different note: this is very helpful for me, who can't draw an organic shape to save my life.
Also i wanna point out that art isn’t the only things games with OCS factory’s and such can be a BIG help since they give you the option of literally almost everything you could want for it
Your videos are great x3 But for me the hardest part is actually designing the fursona / character.. The design, colors, shapes and patterns. Especially with my fursona, I want her to suit me well and I don't know how to do that
If this method doesn't work for you some other alternatives are:
- Doing everything traditionally on paper (I recommend making a digital colour pallete still!!)
- Printing out the reference sheet lines and colouring them physically
- Commissioning an artist with a thorough description of your character (not all artists will work from just descriptions though)

I really appreciate your interest
I'm asking after it because I'm kinda interested in doing some art for people. I watched this video and realized how many people out want someone else's interpretation, and it made me remember being a broke lil bean. So I feel that life and I wanna do art for people
for free art programs I would recommend Krita and for paid ones I would recommend Clip Studio Paint. you can get it on sale and get the Pro version for $25.
Iam really happy that iam improving in art and i hope I can be improving a whole lot more i use ibis paint X for right now Thx for more suggestions of art apps ive started on paper some good tips that I'll use
Edit: I used your tip and used furfinitty and made a new fursona i dont know what his name should be now Stargazer or something else any other suggestions? I used Stargazer
I don't need sleep, I need art!
Thanks for sharing your tips!
Me: Must focus on what is going on.
Also me: WHAT IS THE HEAD GONNA DO NEXT?!
HELP IM DROWNING WHILE WATCHING THIS NOT FROM THE WATER BUT FROM THE AMAZINGNESS
My art work program: a peice of *paper* im too poor for a pc and i cant draw with a finger
*me aggressively searching stuff becouse I want a new fursona cause i dont like my last one* I think I understand
*five seconds later as i try to draw it well watching * I have no idea what I'm doing.
On a serious note. This really helped me. I'm trying to sketch some ideas and this is helping me get an understand of what to do
Ey that background music sounded suspiciously like Hyper Potions and it was lol
One day I was bored and decided to draw fursona. So I drew it in a corner of notebook, took picture of it and then traced lines in Autodesk SketchBook app (in another layer, like you showed). I knew it was not good but I was proud of myself because I don't know how to draw nor ever tried drawing anything similar. Btw, I never watched any tutorial before and was trying to be completely original. Hope you understood everything
Refsheet.net is also a very good site to share and keep track of your characters! ^^
intro is SO CLEAN
good way to get a fursona if you have no idea to design/draw,
view high quality furry adopts from people and buy those (that's how I got my hyena fursona, love her alot)
Gotta agree with your comment that's I'm always thinking
thx for the information Pocari, I'm new to this stuff and I'm looking forward to making my fursona look good
Here starts my Furry life.
Gotta make Fursona, thanks for Guide!
Great job working hard on this video Pocari! U put quite a bit of good effort into this Bottle episode.
Me who can't draw:
Help meh
It's amazing to watch a simple stick figure turn into an amazing drawing
On mobile use ibis paint x it good
The music in the beggining still spooks me because your the only youtuber I know about that has louder vids than 2% volumetric forms (my phone suggested that volume was spelt like volumetric so I have no idea if it's what I thought it was)
i just started watching pocari again after MONTHS and MONTHS and when the theme song came on in the beginning a wave of nostalgia hit me outta no where 😭😭
*when you can’t draw animals*
Color pallets also help yourself draw with the exact colors so even if you aren't planning to commission the color pallete is really nice.
Trust me I had to learn that the hard way :"V
As someone who took three years of Graphic Design and Commercial Graphic Design in high school, two years of GD with a year of CGD between, I cannot stress enough how helpful a drawing tablet is. On a related but different note: this is very helpful for me, who can't draw an organic shape to save my life.
Also i wanna point out that art isn’t the only things games with OCS factory’s and such can be a BIG help since they give you the option of literally almost everything you could want for it
I can't believe I never thought of using the magic wand for that! Great work Pocari!
My sona is a Butterbeer sodaroo, and yeah! As u were the very first UA-cam fur who inspired me. I love roos and most of the Australian animals
Your videos are great x3
But for me the hardest part is actually designing the fursona / character.. The design, colors, shapes and patterns. Especially with my fursona, I want her to suit me well and I don't know how to do that
Oh my gosh, I thought I was the only one in Australia who likes this sort of stuff!
Hiii! I'm new to this stuff, I was at Walmart and found a fox mask with the jaw and now I'm HOOKED
