- In today's furniture makeover, I am taking an Eastlake Dresser I found at Goodwill and using milk paint to transform this forgotten piece. It is my first time using milk paint and you'll have to watch to see just what I thought of it and how I worked this one out. I also decided to do a little something special on the top with IOD Stamps. Enjoy the journey xx

I believe it would be a boring world if everyone liked the exact same things. One color for houses, cars, clothes, etc. I respect creativity and the willingness to try new projects. I personally do not want chippy or sanded/aged pieces in my home but that doesn't stop me from appreciating and admiring a well-done piece of furniture. This piece is outstanding! The top is awesome! I forgot I had purchased bags of milk paint several years ago, this video reminded me about that shipment. I need to find a project for my black milk paint. Sarah, I simply cannot understand why people choose to be rude and tacky to someone as kind, gracious, genuine and considerate as you. Your videos are informative, entertaining and feel like a hug from a long-lost dear friend. I am thankful you do not allow such immature behavior to negatively impact your passion . . . that would be a tragedy. Your wit is always a treat and your random comments are sunshine on rainy, stormy days. You are delightful. UA-cam is a better place with your presence.

Oh my goodness those stamps. And that wallpaper. Fab-u-lous. Absolutely adore them. The dresser is gorgeous Sarah. Sorry I missed the live. We were off having a good old root around in a pop up charity shop in town here. Bought a multi frame and a little egg cabinet. Now I have to print off photos for the frames and the egg cabinet is just gorgeous as it is.
ooooo yeah rooting around a charity shop is much better than a stinky old live 😂 one day...no idea when but I want to get there an just spend countless hour/days shopping charity shops and car boot sales. Have fun paint (😂 we always do 🥰)

Sarah, I watch several people who refinish furniture... but you are the only one I consistently watch. I never miss one of your videos. I wasn't sure about your vision, but the dresser turned out very nice. I'd like to refinish my 100 year plus dining set, but I'm chicken. Lol

Oooo I Love, Love, Love this... Absolutely my style! Thank you for the wonderful video's. I loved your comment about kindness today. I restored a piano stool that was from my childhood, It was so severely damaged that most would have trashed it. However I got absolutely berated by one woman who has horrible things to say about painting furniture, when I posted a photo to an antiques group I belong to. I explained, I had to paint there was no saving it due to all the damage otherwise. But she didnt care.I finally realized There was nothing I could say to please her. Some people are just cruel & unkind. Thank you again for the great content and exceptional videos.

Gorgeous! Love this, especially after you did the stencils on the top!! And this coming from an 83 year old early attic lover that always preferred the origional finish. But tho I'm not fond of some of the modern finishes, you've converted me to "painted" furniture! And I love to watch you work. You are always so creative, and make me wish I had the space and energy to do some experiments with paint.

That dresser is absolutely beautiful!! I have an antique corner cabinet that I've had for 10 years or so. It's pretty rustic, an ugly brown color on the outside and an even uglier yellow inside the glass door top portion. I've been trying to figure out how I wanted it painted because I don't want a perfect paint job. I'm going to try to recreate your paint job on my cabinet. Thank you for sharing your great ideas and your talent with us. I was so wrapped up in your video that I actually said out loud "bless you" when you sneezed. 😜 I can't wait for your next project.

I wasn't too sure about keeping the hardware at first, but I should know by now to trust your judgement. The stencils or stamps really make this piece shine.😊. Terrific job as always!! Oh yay!!! So glad it's getting warmer in Colorado. I've been there (many years ago now when I was a teenager with my dad!) love the idea of working on furniture outside! Except when top coating 😂 every bug on the planet is attracted to my piece when that happens 😆

It turned out very pretty. I love the color you chose. The stencil on top is pretty. Your red chest with stenciling remains one of my favorite pieces. The hardware is beautiful. Wonderful job. I like your shorts , but I love your videos to watch the whole process.

I love the transformation the color the stamps the distress look I wouldn't change anything from this piece cause that's your style your own creation its like when I paint on canvas this art teacher said to me you should of done this and that well if I did that it wouldn't be my style. so keep being you and bless you!!! your editing is so raw that's why I always look forward your videos

I love that you ventured out with a new paint type. I use milk paint quite often and you can almost guarantee chipping by 1) wet distressing after all coats are applied and dried and 2) using a heat gun or hair dryer, either when the milk paint is still slightly tacky or when it has dried all the way. Be sure not to stay in one place with the heat. You can actually burn the paint. Try both ways....it's very unpredictable and so fun!! Love this piece!! ❤

What a stunner Sarah. I really like the stamps on the top. It is a nice addition to the wooden top/ painted body look. I was happy to see the absence of repairs for you, nice to just be able to jump in. As usual I really like the drama of its presence. Great job!!! Maybe a wayward stamp on the side........
