You never go back to an old job, ex-girlfriend or ex-wife!! Don't play yourself, fellas!! Same for you ladies: Never go back to an ex-boyfriend, ex-husband or former job!!
Never accept a counter-offer because you are now marked for the first round layoffs because you showed your hand. If you find a new job, you must be prepared to follow through and leave your existing job.
There is nothing wrong with returning to an organization, especially if it’s for a different division or business unit. Companies often welcome former employees back because they are already familiar with their work and capabilities. However, I agree that returning to the exact same role with the same manager may not be the best decision. While I believe it’s important to carefully consider your choice before quitting a job, if you have already left, it’s time to move on.
I wanted more money they walked me out, three years later i went back got more money and 3 months later i quit, they dont care about you why should you care about them.
Good points! Most of us didn’t imagine the baggage left on the old job, regardless of the situation
Thank you for the comment. 💼 💼

That's why it pays to exit with a check under the shadow of a possible lawsuit against the company. Don't be afraid to burn bridges with HR.
For me, I don't write off going back to a previous job if I am desperate and the pay is good. At the end of the days, a job is just a paycheck
Fair enough

You're exactly right. Thank you for the comment.
I hate my job but will stay a few more years to get to retirement.
Very few people actually like their job. 😔

I made that mistake. I feel depressed and stuck
Oh no. Thanks for sharing. Good luck!
Even if I could, I would never! 🥴
Don't blame you!
If they give you a pay raise, but expect you to do more, then is it really a pay raise?
Good point.
