I had an interview, showed up early only to have the Interviewer not show up. I waited 6 extra minutes...then left. 😡😠 Had another office person playing " email tag - your it " with me...only to respond to my responses of my availability for an interview 2 days later 2 different times. So....unprofessional !!! Went to an interview thinking everything was going well. The job was from Monday to Friday. The Interviewer asks me " So what does your weekends look like, consist of ? " And I am like.....??? What the hell does that matter...??? What I do in my spare time is None of your business !!! I didn't say that ...but I Was Thinking That !!! Really....WTF are these people Smoking...??!!! 😡😠🤬
We should create an app where job seekers can name the company that ghosted them . The job seeker should post the position title and who interviewed them and how many times they were interviewed before they were ghosted. This app would help job seekers from wasting their time for applying for jobs at these firms. I am sorry but we need to expose these firms.
I totally agree that this downward spiral will end in failure. As a software engineer, the current mindset is there is zero value for historical knowledge of how things work and why they work that way. There is no priority on keeping things up to date and working properly. There are only endless repetitions of features for new customers with new ideas. That's great and all, but your buildup of techdebt will snowball to the point where it all stops when the next critical CVE or unsupported library comes around. Then YOUR COMPANY WILL HALT because this stupid avoidable debt will have to be cleared out. I hope sanity returns where these orgs listen to their developers again. For now, we are at the bottom of the hierarchy, so nobody listens.
Facts! Everything you said on this comment section is right on point! Corporations are and have set themselves up for failure for being arrogant, cheap, dumb, and ignorant!
Panel interviews for IT and Tech job are a trap, usually! You will have at least 1 hater on that panel that will not like you, be jealous of your skills, talents, qualifications, etc. I don't do panel interviews for IT and Tech jobs, anymore! Don't do them, folks! Just don't!
I'm studying, getting certifications, building my code portfolio until things get better. I'm living off my retirement in the mean time. This job market feels like 1981. Something's wrong with the official unemployment rate. In a strong job market recruiters come to you. Applying for jobs should be just to get a feel for the job market.
Heh. Funnier things happen. When i just thought we've reach the bottom in this market, this happened: I was told i got a job, met a team, seen my desk, talked about my projects to start with, starting date was set. Next day i got call they will go with internal candidate. Getting back to same shitty interviews with same shitty ppl behaving exactly the same shitty way. Poland. This cesspool is global. Cheers, buddy.
@LaborGains its the same everywhere. If it's like that in US it means it's in Poland and other countries too, because everything is cobnected to US economy
You know if I were to buy my own rig and become a job creator which I can, I don't want too. The hiring standard is so bad because of these disgraceful hiring practices. Until the gov sets decent hiring standards im remaining at current capacity.
well economy had to go in a recession one day. plus immigration of H1B visa is there to replace us expensive worker, our luxury living is a problem since we want higher salary. Company do not care about society to it's all about money/profit. It's going to be a hard couple of years.

At the end of an interview, he gave me the job and said I will get an email about next steps. Never heard from them again!
Try emailing them and demanding an offer
@@myopinion6748why would he want it at that point
@myopinion6748 offer was clearly made already
That's ridiculous! Sorry that happened. Thanks for sharing.
It was Royal Farms.
They do that purposely. They know they being disrespectful but don't care

Sounds like you have a good plan. Good luck. Thanks for the comment.
2008 was worst lol. The thing with history is, we always think the present is worst. Things will get better with time.

Oh wow. That's terrible. Thanks for sharing. Didn't know it was like that in Poland. Good luck out there.

Remind me, what is your field of expertise?
He's a software engineer and has been a team lead/supervisor in tech, as well.
Tech leadership roles basically.
@@LaborGains Do you feel that there are too many people in the field chasing after too few jobs?
What is the building behind you.
Just the rooftop of the apartment.
@LaborGains it's a cool rooftop though 😎
