I’ve had my plaid for 2 months and I love the yoke. Love both your channels. The Tesla plaid channel is really cool for anyone who wants to see the plaid in action.
I think what they mean by “regular” person is that you can straight up buy one as long as you have the money. Cause some super cars and most hyper cars are only available for purchase to certain people. Im using super cars and hyper cars as examples cause they’re generally some of the fastest cars in the market. Like they have people fill out applications and then pick who gets to buy a car. Ferrari is notorious for doing that. Also you don’t need to be a millionaire to buy a Tesla. Definitely more accessible than a lot of super cars and especially hyper cars
Great question about FSD and fast cars. I think they aren’t mutually exclusive you can take over at any time to drive but it’s amazing that one day I can go to work and not need to pay for a parking space. Or fly down somewhere and tell the car to meet me there, go out with friends and have your car come fetch you etc

It is not "the best speed/$ ratio" but it is "the fastest accelerating car in the world". Period. Thus ending Teslas bragging rights. Soon there will be another, even faster, and these guys will call it "faster than Plaid". Thus ignoring THE TRUTH.
If more people own these types of vehicles, accidents could be prevented by proximity detectors which would throttle down cars that were deemed to fast and near each other. Quantum computing could calculate ride paths and speeds and eliminate the risk of 2 teslas crashing
I know that because of the price difference they are not comparable at all, but if the Nevera totally trashes the plaid which is insane knowing how fast the plaid is, imagine how ridiculously fast the Nevera is, must be like a space ship
I just appreciate hearing Doug Demuro talk in his normal voice. I would think he could do with a little less of the over-enunciation in his regular videos.
I agree with the horn issue on the new Tesla Model S *except* I know one reason to change habits for the horn. The worst thing to do is to push your hand onto the airbag due to some event happening and ending up in a crash. That airbag will deploy your hand/harm into your face/body. Getting us (the drivers) to use some other horn thing (button somewhere) would be good. This does not mean that the Tesla horn "button" is the right answer but it is trying to solve a real problem/risk.
It's not just performance, My uncle's mercedes s560 literally HUGS & GRIPS your sides into the seat while turning... Tesla owners and enthusiasts need to DEMAND more interior upgrades that should be the normalized standard... other than those things in that area, tesla wins 💓

DragTimes did a drag comparison and the Nevera beat the Plaid on every run. Difference is the Nevera is limited production and extremely expensive, multi million $$$. But the Plaid still wins on general availability and accessibility.
Nevera not in production til next year. There are a couple of prototypes getting around...same as for Roadster. Roadster and Nevera 'may' go into production at the same time. Roadster will match Nevera for a quarter mile (possibly demolish it with cold air thrusters) and will cost 1/10 the price and be way cooler.
In GTA they constantly nerf cars but in the real world the Tesla is just getting faster. Still I'll will never get a electric car just because I like the feel of a traditional combustion engine. Plus there is a lot of issues with electric vehicles not to many people talk about.
@@carholic-sz3qv Yes, but fast is really irrelevant. There is almost nowhere you can drive that fast. Here in Australia, you risk jail for speeds that high. Most tracks you can't stretch out to 200. Even Bugatti has stopped chasing silly speeds, because they have no relevance to actual driving.
Old school racing required them to sell "stock cars" which are the same as race day. So nothing new to an extent... minus the stupid crazy awesome 1000+ HP... could be interesting
