Yeah, I see people always saying pizza, pasta & gelatto but my god I love a good Risotto and a good carpaccio! Throw some Cannoli in there and tiramisu (funny thing, tiramisu was the first dessert I learnt to make xD).
To remember the order of the vertical tri-color flags of Europe, always remember "Red on Right" (except Ireland which is Orange). Italy, France, Andorra, Romania, Moldova and Ireland (again, orange not red) all do the same thing.
Oh and Lasagna, mmmm. And of course, probably the best part, all sorts of Italian cheese. Mozzarella, gorgonzola, parmiagiano (my favourite) and of course this soft mascarpone in tiramisu. Yummy.
As a football fan i would say Buffon , Totti and Maldini as players of Italy , at the time Italy was one of the best football national teams in the world , but sadly today it's not even capable either to win agains the North Macedonia or go to the World Cup
That brings childhood memories. World Cup 2006 was nightmare for us French 🇨🇵 Zinedine Zidane headbutt was memorable. Obviously he did that cuz an Italian player insulted him
That generation was glorious! Though I gotta say in my case off the top of my head I would've said Buffon, Totti and Pirlo. But its hard to leave out Maldini or Del piero too. Even Gattuso hahahaha (I always remember him, and even more now that hes coming to Spain to coach Valencia xD)
When the question about the three players came up, my immediate response was Roberto Baggio, Pagliuca and Del Piero. Buffon was the fourth. I could keep going all day long, but I'd list most players from the 1990s and 2000s. Yes, I'm ancient.
Finally someone from Italy, our Neighbor. Still fighting the Mont Blanc. Italy is absolutely beautiful and gorgeous. Massive landmarks. Always go there for Summer vacations. The food is actually really good. Like homemade 🇪🇺🇨🇵🇮🇹

Spanish people have some food in common with Sardinians, due to their common history. I've been in the oldest restaurant in the world, in Madrid, and they cook piglet, the same way we cook it in Sardinia
I was in Italy a few years ago and ever since then I haven’t been to a city that is as magnificent as Rome, everything there was just amazing and the food there is so delicious by contrast Milano was not as glamorous and the food not as good and the people were kind of hostile to none whites.
yes they are very very similar. i’m italian and i basically never learned spanish but the languages are so similar that i can understand everything spanish people say. for us ( i mean italians and spanish) is just more understandable if we speak to eachother in our native languages than trying to communicate in english because in a some way we are able to understand each other surprisingly. also i think that is a bit easier for an italian to understand spanish than the otherwise.

The order of the colors in the Italian flag is actually quite easy - once you know how to memorise it: essentially, it's Caprese from top. Basil leaves (green), mozarella (white), tomatoes (red). That's how an Italian colleague explained it to me and it stuck in my mind for almost 40 years now 🙂

Yes, I'm also Argentinian and we have a lot in common with both these countries! Spain and Italy! I'm proof my ancestors came over from both countries and just like a lot of Argentinian last names are Italian in origin many Argentinian last names are Spanish in origin! Two of the foods we eat the most are PIZZA brought over by Italians and the other food we eat a lot are EMPANADAS brought over by Spaniards! Cheers!👍

Ciao is a Venetian word derived from "s-ciao" that mean "slave", so ciao litterally mean "I am your slave"/"at your service"
And is not the only Venetian word spread worldwide. For example "quarantena", "arsenale", "ghetto" or "pantaloni/pantalone/pantaloon". Fun fact: Pantalone is a Venetian carnival mask, its name is used with the meaning of trousers in a lot of languages, but not in the Venetian language, in Venezia "pantalon" means "fool".
