I’m so proud of this generation of young women! I’ve tackled many jobs, and together my late husband and I renovated about 10 homes together. I stuck a paintbrush and screwdriver in my children's hands when they were young. And my youngest daughter isn’t afraid to tackle any repair or renovation. She also has a healthy respect for her limitations. Good going! Thanks so much.
My god, finally a real D.I.Y person that has taught me not to be afraid of trying. I applaud you. I just moved from the Bronx to upstate NY and want to create for my family and for myself. You have given me inspiration and hope. Thank you!
That’s what I said!! Her projects look like mine!! ‘This is WAY MORE work than I anticipated.” Ha! Fifty “tiny” setbacks before I can even get to the “bad scenario” i imagined. 😅 But perseverance and INGENUITY triumph!! 😅
And you learn after cleaning drywall dust for 3 weeks, that rubbing with a damp sponge til it's smooth vs sanding is a pro tip. Another pro tip: Liquid Sandpaper. Cheap as heck, a quart goes a really long way and no sanding cabinets. Redid all my kitchen cabinets with it; Kilz 2 and regular latex paint...easy, cheap and no noxious fumes! And no sanding!!!!
Just found your channel. As another female DIYer, I so appreciate you showing all the bumps in the road during your renovation. Nothing ever goes quickly and you always run into snags. Most of the time it's on the stuff that you think will be the easiest. I really enjoyed the humor in your video. Also, thought the editing was top notch. I've liked and subscribed. Cheers!
You need to invest in a respirator! You are my hero - a very brave woman to tackle this. I look forward to next weeks video. Too bad you didn’t use the Stone Coat Countertop process for the top. Thank you!
Tiff I could sit and watch you remodel or create all day long!! You are really good at what you do! I’m so proud of all that you do and I love that you work with your Dad too!! You both have such great personalities and very humorous!!
I just found your channel. I think you're brave and thrifty. I think it's great that you tackled the project and found ways to complete what you wanted without spending so much money, especially when on a budget.
'and the sink' caption as soon as you chipped it - had me laughing way louder than I should have.. It all looks glorious - I absolutely love the colour scheme. It's right up my street! it will look totally lush when done I look forward to seeing it :) xx
Mack of Midwest Magic Cleaning recommended your channel and I am so glad he did. I love doing home projects too. Girl, you are funny. Love the color of your cabinet. My fave color.
Here because Midwest Magic Cleaning recommended your channel. I desperately need an inexpensive bathroom makeover. This is very inspiring. I’m trying to figure out my diy limitations. 😂🤷♀️. You did a great job! Very bright and refreshed.
2-3 days to do a bathroom - ha ha ha, only in our wildest dreams! I'm in an older home and every quickie project "Always" uncovers a few hidden problems/issues to deal with, adding several days on the game plan. I always figure twice the time as I think it will take, so I'm not so disappointed. The bathroom is going to look so good - it already is such an improvement with the lighter walls. Love the cabinet color, I like sage greens. Looks like you're going for butcher block on the counter top, nice choice. It will match the shelves from the mood board and maybe the frames also. Very nice!
Thank you for the video! I really like that the music wasn’t too loud and you were honest and realistic about the problems you came across along the way and how you went about fixing it. Been looking for a video like this for a long time! I don’t mid. The other but they fell saturated with influencer things and attitude. I personally prefer the way you do things ☺️ thanks

Omg I love this!!! ❤❤ so authentic! I have done many projects and I always underestimate them, it gets randomly messy, there's always extra trips to homedepot, and it's exciting and exhausting. This was 1000% real and accurate..fastest I've ever subscribed to a UA-cam channel in my life 😂
We have about the same size guest bathroom. Same layout except the shower fixtures are on same size as toilette. (Weird for yours bc it usually goes by location of the water pipes-ours are all on the one side). We used to have sage green (like your cabinet color) walls, then we repainted the whole house for sale. It didn’t sell. The white walls on a small space shows all the marks and fingerprints and dust. And you feel like the walls are inches from your nose. I went back to a dusky greenish gray with a bit of tan mixed in. The walls now “recede” with the darker color and you get a more cavernous and spa like feel to it. But changing a room makes it feel fresh and new. I’m sure it’ll be lovely for a long while to come.
I have a tiny bathroom too and like you I painted it a light colour and I also hung some strategically placed mirrors and it brought the light in plus, made the room feel bigger. IMO some mirrors above the shower, on each side of the small window should be helpful.
Currently watching this video and GIRL I am in love with you lol! I’m a female electrician & seeing you boss out this project and overcome every little side quest…I’ve never been into watching DIY because I can be so judgy, but I am thoroughly entertained and subscribed! You are an incredible woman! Keep kickin ass! ❤ Edit: nice execution with the junction box (pancake) for the vanity light! That’s exactly what I would have done and the prior electrician should have!
Hi Tiffany it’s Felix. Consider me saying that that practical with compound do you know that you can wet sand and you will have any dust may have to redo the rag out several times but you can get it to where you wanted to and if you do have to sand would be extremely a little bit that’s another short cut talk to you soon.

I LOVE YOU!! I just found you on this video. OMG I am living your life. I am a lot older (~60) but I felt all of your exhaustion. When you started using the 5 min mud, I thought that’s probably not the best for the long seem. 20or 45 minute?? Yes I also learned the hard way. I’m taking a break from skim coating one of my bathrooms and laundry room. And I’m “resting” by watching you work. Can’t wait to watch more of your videos ❤
Just happened upon you…..you are so adorable and honest…I’m hooked. Tks for all your videoing your all hard work. Signed, a great grandmother in Kansas.
I'd love to see a whole video just on drywalling from you. I just replaced the drywall in my bathroom and haven't had the courage to do the mudding yet.
I subbed today so I can keep track of your projects. I love DIYers who keep it real. I mentioned in one of your laundry room videos that I had started a pantry makeover that was taking longer than expected. A few hiccups and working only on weekend/days off. Well, it's going on month 4 😅 At least 2 cabinets are painted and installed and I have 3 shelf frames up. Slow and steady wins the race lol
Woooow. That bathroom looks 90% like my own. Same size, vanity, toilet. The only difference was the tub spout location, mirror, and we had a built-in cabinet
Seems like we approach diy in totally opposite ways: You said your projects end to be more complicated than you thought - I tend to overthink during planning, only to find the issues I thought about were easy fixes and I still have to improvise on problems I did not see coming 😂 I wish I could be a little bit more spontaneous but I inevitably start overthinking once I want to start ordering the materials I will need. The only diy I can do without overthinking is simple stuff like painting, etc.😅 But just like it happened to you, I almost always manage to get paint in my hair
My goodness. I just randomly came across your channel. I love this project. Your production, editing and your humor and personality are wonderful. I love that you are about to do some woodworking. I love to build stuff too. Subscribed.
oh i am doing this...as i just discovered this video, i am like oh I know just how you feel...in summary 2010 had the bathroom (mine) redone, expanded, new everything...in 8yrs time noticed horrible rusting on tub floor, grout around tub and tile coming off, toilet was leaking after each flush......oh yeah. First had to remove the rusted out toilet flange, (gross) reseat toilet, all new plumbing inside toilet (yay), next redo plumbing to tub using pex-b. Now to tackle the rusted out tub -- on lovely! But your doing a lot more than I am...thanks for the video journey!
Just found your channel, girl you and I are so much alike! I have done a lot of my own projects in the house. I have done the kitchen and bathrooms, and currently attempting the laundry room! I love the money saved, and the learning process, (mistakes made, a few...here and there) I totally get the times of laziness and impatience, those are the times that I made the mistakes!. Great Video! My downfall is a strength that you seem to have, I have no idea how to pull things together!! Color, textures, and details of design are not my strength. New Subscriber here.
Thanks and welcome to the channel! Putting things together can be challenging, I actually spend a lot of time browsing through Pinterest, IG or anywhere online looking for inspiration, sometimes it takes me months to land on the right design but I just keep playing around with it until it feels right :)
@diytiff Just so you know, your fixture above your mirror needs to have the romex terminated in a UL listed box. Also, I second the comment of investing in a good respirator. It is imperative to protect your lungs from caustic materials, vapors, and silica dust among other elements. Employ these safety standards and you're doing great work! 🙂
One person DIY projects of this scale are never 2 day projects. I’ve got 20 years of construction and even I would struggle to get this done in just two days.
Electrician here, you can still center the light even though the stud is in the way! just use a pancake box and it should fit flush within the drywall and you can just screw it onto the stud
Sorry, but I had to laugh watching you - ONLY because I’m in the midst of doing the same thing to my guest bath! I took down wallpaper, tearing the sheetrock in multiple places & had to try to repair many, many bad places in drywall. I don’t remember exactly when I started working on this bathroom but maybe at least a month or more by now! I had so much dust from trying to smooth out joint compound patches. I didn’t use power sander, but even with drywall sandpaper on a pole the dust was terrible! Imagine patching every wall! Initially I got the self adhesive joint tape (think I saw you using) but changed to regular paper tape because I couldn’t get the holes in tape covered! Couple days after working on this mess I had a call that an out of town (10 hrs away) relative was coming to see everyone! I had to work like crazy to get bath presentable, not to mention the rest of the house that hadn’t been touched (and dust everywhere even though door closed)! I painted the room - even on the places I still needed to work on. My vanity top was off & plumbing disconnected & dripping so I put a pan in cabinet to catch water & laid a piece of plywood cut to size over the top. Mirror off, making new frame. What a mess! Anyway I’m still working on everything and I’m retired, just turned 70. You’re young! I’ve been doing ridiculous DIY’s for about 50 years, so hang in there! Your bath already looks fantastic after a few days! I showed my husband your video so he could see lots of crazy women in this world!
Great job!! First time viewer, and I usually fast forward through DIY videos. I didn’t here; didn’t want to miss any of your entertaining commentary. 😊 And I love the cabinet color!
Not sure if anyone else noticed. But I caught that Crash Wrath of Cortex theme when you were painting over shower. I whistle that all the time when working on my house 😂. Great video.
You are amazing! The makeover is beautiful. I have a small bathroom exactly like yours and I am going to jump in and copy your design! Wish me luck! Xoxoxo
What program or where did you create your vision board? Was it electronic or more old-fashioned like a bulletin board? Also, do you have a Google sheet or Excel where you budget out and track expenditures?
Hello 👋 new to your channel I really enjoyed watching your video how did you learn to do repairs it’s interesting 🤔 can’t wait to see the outcome of this bathroom meanwhile I’m about to watch your other videos ❤❤😊
😂 you mean to tell me you don’t open and close your eyes and everything is done? 🧐 I like your video. Looks like real life video. 😜 I like it. Now I need to get back to finishing my projects. 👍🙌😄
I love the way you work we average diyers can relate and you do a nice job and provide entertainment LOL thanks keep it up don't let nay sayers bother you 😉
You had me laughing when you came out the bathroom with your shirt covering your nose. It almost it was like, "don't nobody go in the bathroom for about 35 to 45 minutes, someone open the window😂😂😂
I just had to come and say I regularly vacuum my walls (I have brick interior walls and they accumulate AND create so much dust) and I always think people would think I've lost my mind 😂
Thanks for watching. Next video on this series ua-cam.com/video/vHK4PC1qXRI/v-deo.html

Great job! For future reference: When you flop mud on the floor, let it dry and just pick up the chunk. Less mess and easier.

Yes I definitely need one. I think I have one but I gotta find it. Unfortunately no epoxy countertops on this one but maybe one day :)
They're $5!
Okay I'm old, they went up. They're $12 lol

I love this video. Thanks for sharing. This gives me an idea to do the same with my bathroom, too.
Electrician here, you can still center the light even though the stud is in the way! just use a pancake box and it should fit flush within the drywall and you can just screw it onto the stud
Your videos are so thoughtfully made!
Thanks ☺️
That’s awesome! The dust is no joke! It got every where and I still find spots here and there lol
You are very impressive and inspirational.
Thank you so much ☺️❤️
Great job!!
First time viewer, and I usually fast forward through DIY videos. I didn’t here; didn’t want to miss any of your entertaining commentary. 😊
And I love the cabinet color!
Thank you 🥰
I like watching this channel. Reminds me of my mistake doing handyman work. Since I'm self taught. 😂😂
Xoxoxo
Love what you do! Definitely has given me some inspiration.

Excellent! I am subscribed. :) You seem to have some skills and most importantly, you don’t let something new intimidate you. Thanks Tiff!
😄 thanks!
Yayyyy!! I'm here for this new project!🙌🙌
Try a peel and stick, kinda renters friendly way until you can afford what you really want
What program or where did you create your vision board? Was it electronic or more old-fashioned like a bulletin board? Also, do you have a Google sheet or Excel where you budget out and track expenditures?
Hi! I normally use Canva or Milanote to create the vision boards. For this video I used Canva specifically. To track expenses I use excel.
Hello 👋 new to your channel I really enjoyed watching your video how did you learn to do repairs it’s interesting 🤔 can’t wait to see the outcome of this bathroom meanwhile I’m about to watch your other videos ❤❤😊
Thank you!! I’ve learn to do repairs over the years I fixed a couple of houses up with my dad and I learn as I go with every project
What a lucky husband. You’re killing it girl!
The yoga for plumbers and painters comments were funny!!
I love this thanks for showing us your diy. Keep up the good work.
Thank you!
Wowee, this was a ton of work! And 20 second mud made me giggle 😂
Yeah my brain doesn’t function after a few hours of work lol
Wow you did a great job 👏🏽 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽congratulations! I love it
😂 you mean to tell me you don’t open and close your eyes and everything is done? 🧐 I like your video. Looks like real life video. 😜 I like it. Now I need to get back to finishing my projects. 👍🙌😄
Just beautiful. Well done. ❤
Amazing bathroom makeover!
Mudding isn’t fun at all! I use 90 minute setting mud - because I need as much time to apply and not have it dry on me.
You are all kinds of awesome! I will have to check back in and see how your project is going.
Best Wishes = )
I love the way you work we average diyers can relate and you do a nice job and provide entertainment LOL thanks keep it up don't let nay sayers bother you 😉
Excellent work. It's great to watch your video ❤❤
You had me laughing when you came out the bathroom with your shirt covering your nose. It almost it was like, "don't nobody go in the bathroom for about 35 to 45 minutes, someone open the window😂😂😂
😂
I love color I don’t like just white nice warm or or bright colors
I just had to come and say I regularly vacuum my walls (I have brick interior walls and they accumulate AND create so much dust) and I always think people would think I've lost my mind 😂
😂😂😂 that makes perfect sense
I don’t know if you know but you’re hilarious 😂😂. In a good way
So beautiful!! Great job!
Dude you’re freaking hilarious 😂 ima keep watching this is veryyyy interesting!
