Brett Lee was the first one over to help and comfort Alex Tudor. True sportsmanship. There’s a difference between wanting to rough up a batsman and actually wanting the guy hurt. As a former quick I know well the urge to knock lumps out of batsmen, but I wanted to give them a dead leg, not a broken nose. Big difference.
Brett, you always were on top of your game, and played it in true spirits.. These incompetent idiots were just not good enough to face you😊. Pride of not only AUS🇦🇺 but of the World.🇦🇺❤️💘. Love you BL.

No one has an issue about the ball, but look at the difference in reaction when Brett Lee hit Alex Tudor and when Archer hit Smith. Archer has no class, his first concern should have been Steve.
Loftus_Cheeky I think the main difference is that Steve Smith is an all time great batsman Alex Tudor wasn’t. In addition Lee admits he was deliberately targeting Tudor, this sort of over aggressiveness was why so many disliked what was a great Aussie side. I thought Archer Smith was a great bit of cricket from 2 good players at their peak. Similar to Atherton Donald. Balls that hit Smith possibly not even bouncers
Papa J exactly this. Plus the abuse Archer got was ridiculous. People calling him inhuman, a dog, an animal. Like fuck that, he's hit him with a ball that was too good for him.
@@Nyasalands_Finest not quite sure what your point is. I like Brett Lee, his attitude particularly with the crowd at Edgbaston in 2005 was brilliant. I thought Archer V Smith was brilliant cricket, two top players. Personally I think there is a huge difference between bowling fast and hostile at a top batsman and deliberately targeting the head of a non batsman. Occasional bouncer to keep them honest is fine trying to injure someone through hitting their head isn’t. That’s my feeling regardless of nationality.
whenever Brett lee does a brutal bouncer he always walks do the batsman and asks him if the batsman is okay. am i right? please comment if i am correct.
Bouncers get bowled all the time. The difference is that Lee's pace shaved off a fraction of the time batsmen had to react and duck, so more of them got hit.
That strauss one hit him flush - couldn't have happened to a nicer bloke. I remember that spell in sydney, he was bowling wheels, Alastair cook top edged a hook shot - was just way too quick for him
It is not about bowling nasty bouncers. It is about the approach of a bowler and a team once the batsman is hit on helmet or any of his body part. The aussies usually did not show any concern after the batsaman was hit. That is not the spirit of the game. Having an ability to bowl quick and fearsome is onr thing and showing no remorse or even a concerm after the ball hitting batsman is altogather a different thing.
@@burnie-localgaming3718 Pat Cummins isnt intimidating as Brett Lee..probably only Mitchell Starc hold that Brett Lee level of brutality and hostility!!
I too wanted to play in this time and face some bouncers see if brett lee's speed is really playable or not . Perhaps a hook or six. And bowl at him in return too. This his bowling line length is short of good length, in other words short pitched bowling. So whether speed is high or not, but it would eventually hit the helmet /batsman by surprise. So it shouldn't be called a bouncer perhaps. I calculated read that in yester years sir jardine's matches harold larwood's bowling pitches in 1930s too were of the same size length 9 jogging steps of batsmen. But perhaps legalized bouncers are mid pitched which can be hookable...? or the pitch lengths were of 12 jogging steps? Then would brett lee bowl his short pitches as bouncers and hit the batsmen? Whats the point in the above mentioned video that batsmen in tennis ball matches face the same speed as well. So its off limits that batsmen won't even play is that the thing? Terry alderman on the other hand bowled with just 122 kmph but still bowled bouncers and uprooted the stumps?!!! Has brett lee ever bowled or clipped the offstump even once with good length bowl?
I think lee is lucky not facing Kohli ,,, but the most dangerous are the likes of Dale Steyn ,Jimmy Anderson , Glenn McGrath, Wasim Akram , courtney walsh this are the bowlers who will trouble the most
If ur intent is to injure a batsman and intimidate him than u r not a good sportsman..there have been several great fast bowlers like Akram and Kapil Dev who took more wickets than lee by simply good line and lengths without hurting the batsman
Alex Tudor was unfortunate but he was just as bloody idiotic to keep bouncing Brett Lee when he was batting knowing Brett Lee bowls 10-15mph faster than him without even really trying to.. unless you are adept at batting against short pitch bowling, dont piss off the fastest bowlers in the world..esp in the fastest track in the world!!😂😂

Brett Lee hurt more batsmen than any other bowler from his era.
