Nice set-up. I have used Occidental for a while. As I get older, and after 38 years in the field, I wanted something more comfortable. I used to run the standard Klein leather pouch with the cheap klein poly belt...you know the ones that curl under the weight and bite your hips...and I just put up with it back in the day because I could. Not nowadays. Now I am all about comfort, it allows me to get more done. BTW...I never bought the Klein tape measures or razor knives because the actually were, don't know if they still are, made by Stanley and had the exact same patent number on them. I just payed half the price and went with Stanley. You know you're old school if you still use the chrome Stanley or Klein 25' tapes. Take care.
I have the 5053 caddy pouch and its very good. 90% of the commercial electricians around here wear the nail apron. I haven't seen an Electrician wear a belt system ever. Not that I'm against, I like the idea and appreciate Occidental quality. Ive been thinking of eventually getting that tote. But I like how my Kennedy tool box keeps my small tools and accessories acessible. Great video and information!
Thanks for the video man! Beginning my apprenticeship soon and wanted to get a really nice tool belt to begin my journey. Thanks for the helpful insight!
There is a local lumberyard near me that stocks Occidental Leather pouches. They don't have nearly the amount of products you do! Nice collection. My electrician's tote is my most used pouch. Once you've used one you won't go back to a tool box.
I wish it wasn't so hot and humid here in South Florida. I have to minimize the weight/size of the things I carry on me. I am roughing in a 2 story 8,500 sq ft house and there is no AC yet since we only have 40 amp temp power. Those oxy bags look real nice.
Question, does the sheep skin get really hot in hot summers or even 70 degrees weather?? rn im trying different tool belt configs, i went with light husky pouch, i had a large husky belt w padding and suspenders, all was really hot and felt like i couldn't really breathe and overall didnt feel good or durable, i changed out the husky belt/padding and ran the AWP belt through the husky pouches, felt a bit better bus still not the most comfortable
I see you are a dewalt guy along with occidental im the exact same way i also have the whole tough line clip on stuff. Dewalt table same folding card table exact. Only my truck is a 7.0 diesle excursion lifted. 400 miles on a tank.😎👍🇺🇸🔥
On your master electrician's belt what is the product number of the left pouch. I already have the black and leather electrician pouch. I'm just trying to figure out what to put on my left side.
no problem with my pliers catching but i use the smaller hybrid so never an issue. If i need my linesmen pliers it just goes in the open part of the pouch
Hey so just wondering how you got the “master electrician tool bag”? Did you call them and make a custom order? Also love your content! Watched all of your videos.
A couple of reasons. 1 I have had my tools stolen and I have replaced a lot of them , I have also given my old pouch to my step son with a lot of hnd tools, I felt I deserved some new tools so I bought new ones. I had all 18 volt dewalt tools as well and decided for an upgrade since my drill , circular saw was on its last leg. i still have my corded versions but wanted new stuff. I have also used every tool I owned and I clean them off daily.
Thanks for taking the time to share all your bags looks like a great setup! As someone who appreciates organization I love what you have done!
Dont worry about the noise bud, great video thanks
That's a lot of really nice, NEVER BEEN USED tools. Thanks for sharing.
LOl they dont look like that now

For the most part nail aprons work on residential but when doing industrial work running conduit, a belt is definitely needed.
Thanks for the video man!

Thank you I will have some more videos coming soon.
I HAVE THE SAME 5053. GREAT MINDS. HEY I GUESS THAT MEANS SINCE WE THINK ALIKE I'M SOMETHING LIKE A MASTER ELECTRICIAN TOO. 🤔😎
Здравствуйте. Вот вам везет пошёл в магазин и купил то что тебе надо для работы. А у нас таких вещей не купишь. Удачи вам в работе.

I got nail bags 30 yrs ago for framing. I sold them and they are still going strong.
Very classy 🍻 occidental is really nice

i heard alot of good things about occidental leather, so i want to invest in myself to get an "endgame" toolbelt
@@REDDELECTRIC I do take mine off 80 and above but below 80 they are great
Very nice!!!

b5611 Green Building Fastner bag (its black as well)
Over here we say all the gear no idea 😂😂 Good video mate. Makita and Wera all the way
Very nice.
Thats a safety razar knife its supposed to retract. A lot of big jobsites dont allow knives unless theyre the safety ones
Ideal tool totes? Your thoughts as a professional in the trade.
I definitely love the ideal and occidental tool totes. I believe leather tool totes are the best for carrying tools for electricians.
How well does your insulated Klein pliers sit into your master electrician pouch? Does the insulated part of the pliers catch the pocket?
no problem with my pliers catching but i use the smaller hybrid so never an issue. If i need my linesmen pliers it just goes in the open part of the pouch

I actually named it myself because I wanted something custom. So I just built the set up using existing occidental products.
What size is your leather belt
XL
Those retractable knives are supposed to do that. You have to keep your thumb on the slide button while you cut.
Question, if you're a service electrician with all the years experience, why is all your gear new ? And where on your rig do you store materials ?

As far where do I store tools on my rig.... I assume you're speaking of my van. I only put stuff on my van as I take on new work.
