You nailed it! Do what works for you! I am into my 3rd year of apprenticeship and have tried out all configs of bags/pouches/backpacks/tools in your pocket/etc...I really enjoyed just carrying around a pouch, NOT wearing it, but carrying all my tools, in one big Husky pouch - It fit on carts, or hung off of stuff easily...But, I NEEDED something to hold tools on me...I LOVE the Carhartt nail bib apron...Some use it for hardware/material...I use it as a pouch to hold all the above and tools...but storing the apron IN the Husky pouch wasn't working...so I took my big OT-XL open top Veto bag (Which weighs 10 lbs empty LOL) and use that to carry into the job, then the apron as I am working around the job site...I am not really a fan of open top bags, bc if the tools are easy to see they are easy to take...I know it's shitty, but tools get stolen :-(....Need to invest in a closed top Veto and I'll be set for life! Great video! Knipex has taken over my bag since the beginning, Klein is OVER RATED and EVERYONE has all klein..Knipex just feels better, cuts better and is all LIGHTER then the comparable Klein/Greenlee/Ideal/Southwire/etc....Wera for screw/drivers always as well!
Thank you man! and yes definitely I had my milwaukee Tote for the same purpose just carrying it around when I was working on the electrical rooms but switched it up because yes its easier for you and also for other people to just grab your tools. but glad you found another set up that works for you and always veto can help as well with some nice Knipex
Dope set up. My bags are diamondbacks with suspenders. Suspenders are game changers. The weight of my bags are irrelevant. I’ve tried just using my tote bag on certain jobs but I feel like I’m less efficient because I don’t have the same muscle memory as I do wearing my bags. Who wants to be working on a ladder and having to go up and down grabbing stuff.
Yo that’s crazy for my birthday this year I bought myself the electrician bag and the same bag you have on the other side! I tried a few different ones and that one just worked perfectly. Totally forgot about this video but dope that I ended up getting the same setup. Wear my bags everyday no suspenders and they’re so damn comfortable
This is awesome. I am getting in the trade new. You really have to post another updated load out. What is that gold hammer you use some of your videos?
@@KSPARKY18 no BS I had it for less than a month and I could tell by my eye it was off and the bubble would split into 2 or 3 often before I even put it on the object I was going to check the level on. Those stabila levels for me are honestly my go to even if they cost a good amount.
how do you store your bags at the end of the day? do you keep them in a gang box or take them home? either way, how do you store them? do you hang them?
The stronghold like the suspendavest are very hard to get used to, if you do more residential I would recommend them, but in commercial carrying more things sometimes I would recommend the electricians pouch
Nice setup, I've been trying to figure out how to get into the electrical trade. But out here in Cali it seems like a lot more steps than in some other states. Not many companies that want to offer an apprenticeship program and Union seems hard to get into. Any advice for a guy who's wanting to get started?
It definitely depends on the company you work for. Also are you trying to get in to residential or commercial work? I'd recommend commercial, it's what I do. Most bigger companies that will hire you also usually have some type of apprentice/journeyman program they'll put you through. Good luck
Follow me on instagram I can answer more questions if you'd like, but yes look into an apprenticeship forsures, here in Cali we got the UNION, and non union like WECA, ABC for example. you just got to apply and wait for a call if you dont have a sponsor. or you can get a head start and join as an Electrical Trainee, pay for your classes for the moment and join the field.
Yes Ricardo, when I bought my pouch years ago off a supply store they did not have the LH, I did not want to wait as anyone exited getting their new belt and just got that one.. years later now I have both but thank you!

Nice those are great bags as well! and yes I don't understand many people argue that but I don't see myself going up and down and forgetting tools
Bro you got such a clean setup! 🤙🏽🔥
Thanks appreciate it!

Been waiting for this ❗️❗️❗️
That's awesome, thank you!
It would of been dope to list all your tools, if not at least the name brand and spect of it.
I see lots of tools I want.
I apologize I will try to go back and do so. but most of them are in my amazon list amzn.to/3SipkAh
Thanks man appreciate the video

Very nice
Very nice 👍
Thank you 👍
Still rocking this set up?
do you work for the local out there in San Diego?
yes
How long have you had the Klein torpedo level? I had an issue with the bubble and it actually being level? Have you had any issues with that?
Really? Had mine for a while. Actually like it strong and with the 30 degress might get another one

Wow sorry to hear that man, mine have worked really good. But most definitely Stabila also the go to for sures
Klein has lifetime warranty just take it to your local Home Depot and they will swap it out no questions asked
How do you find the twinforce dykes? do you ever find the don't open wide enough? Keep up the good work!!
I love mine, almost never find myself in that situation if not I use my lineman. Thank you!
how do you store your bags at the end of the day? do you keep them in a gang box or take them home? either way, how do you store them? do you hang them?
at this point I have different set ups. If its a the job site gang box, the ones at home, tools in my Vetos and belt in my pack out
Between the stabila and the mini milwaukee level who was the strongest magnet?
Milwaukee forsures
Bro if you had to choose between the occidental electricians pouch or the stronghold which would you choose? Debating on which one to get!?
The stronghold like the suspendavest are very hard to get used to, if you do more residential I would recommend them, but in commercial carrying more things sometimes I would recommend the electricians pouch
What's the zip tie for?
on the suspenders?

Try for the Union. It’s hard but worth it.

Bloody Lefties twist the wrong way too 😂😂 Nice setup again mate 🤘
Don't hate us cuz you ain't us! lmfao thanks
For the 5589 they sell a left handed pouch. I see you’ve got the right handed one. Not sure if you knew that brotha.
Yes Ricardo, when I bought my pouch years ago off a supply store they did not have the LH, I did not want to wait as anyone exited getting their new belt and just got that one.. years later now I have both but thank you!
Half the guys that complain about what you carry are carrying an extra 20 lbs (or much more) in old donuts and extra burritos they didn't need to eat.
