- In this video we utilize a stock 03 turbo that had some carnage and bring the life back into it with KC Turbos diy turbo kit.
Starting with the base 03 turbo, we reused the center section and exhaust housing(with unison ring and vanes). Then utilizing kc turbos 64.7mm compressor wheel and 10 blade balanced assembly, 360 thrust rebuild kit, and their machined compressor housing and backing plate, this turbo will be amazing! This is as close as you can get to an actually kc stage 2 turbo! Then we install it on THE DAILY and do a couple of sound clips!

i have this turbo setup on my 04 motor. except ive got the 9 blade exhaust side. compressor is a billet whistle wheel. it sounds amazing through and through

Hey guys this is Charlie I have a clean sonic blue ,no mods, 2003 6.0 turbo diesel with stock everything . Honestly I don't want to break the bank but I just want to make the truck a little tougher. I do tree work! But ,I do want to show my office on wheels off. #1 am I able to just rebuild my turbo to get the same effect with a truck with balls and a 4-in exhaust. #2 stylish headlights without having the cut under the hood to fit in the $200 range. I would appreciate some feedback. Ty
I'm putting a 2005 6.0 in my 81 f250, was a 400 6.6. I have alot of work ahead of me, but your videos make my life easier on most of the work. I have a mess of electrical work to do, but I have a whole donor truck so it's just splicing here and there.

So you need a machined compressor housing? I am glad I just watched this video before I removed the turbo and started the rebuild.

Question...does the new set up give you more boost?? I know it spools faster and everything, but I can find anywhere about if it pushes more boost like a drop in kc stage 2 or 3?

Is there a difference between doing the rebuild and buying the dropping the stage 2 whistler drop in. Just curious because you said it was a 500-515 whp but the drop in says it’s 600whp capable. Unless I’m wrong tho these utilize the same turbine and compressor wheel size. The only difference is the compressor housing.
Y the white smoke ? I just rebuilt my engine I never get white smoke at cold start

Came out great, they are in the truck for the video! No issues at all, truck is tuned for them, as well as a ficm tune.

I'm a bit confused about FICM tunning. Do FICM tunes cancel out or interrupt OBDII custom tunning? Or they work together? I'm uneducated on this one.
Is there noticeably more lag? I recently bought a 6.0 with a drop in stage 2 and it’s pretty laggy

How much increase in power was you able to gain. With your diy injector upgrade?
The truck should be sitting at 500-515rwhp.
Normally a stock injector/turbo 6.0 with a hot tune will be around 430-450rwhp.

@@LeftLaneDiesels do you think my stage 2 cam will make a huge difference on HP I had a lifter failure on my truck which is an 05 and it destroyed the cam so I just went stage 2 haven't heard alot of people do it or at least people not saying if it makes a difference at all i did rebuilt it a year ago and left a headbolt tune for now but do you think a custom tune for the cam will make a difference over just a basic headstud tune?
I've also raced guys claiming 550 hp and beat them i get that I have a single cab long bed xl 4wd but I also keep up with one of my coworkers camaro ss that's tuned and cold air etc who has dyno sheets of 450 hp at the wheel and my big heavy truck won't lose to it and I've raced the new 5.0 mustangs and have pulled away from them too so idk how much HP im making but some are saying im probably around 500 crank hp easily even other 6.0s I've raced with hot tunes cant beat my truck and I only have a basic tune on it and a stage 2 cam is all stock 03 turbo and injectors

Would it be cheaper for me to go with a actual kc turbo ready to go or get a 03 and get that kc kit?? My truck is a 2007 6.0....
Im curious aswell, my turbo just went bad and im trying to figure out if the blade alone provides more horses in the stock turbo or if the whole kc turbo gives you more horses, i want to make a smart decision
