I was 17 for most of 1982, my birth date being 31/12/64. Loved the stray cats then. And I still do hence me replying to your comment tonight. Brian and the rest of the band are absolutely brilliant. Can't say underated as this guy has and still gains so much recognition for his contribution to rock a Billy and rock and roll. He's up there with the best. A true legend. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻.

Saw Stray Cats in Sydney Australia in 1990 and 1991. Fantastic rockabilly band. We danced for hoyrs back then. Not sure I could keep up now. But hey it was fun.
ive recently started dressing rockabilly (18 years old) and trends generally follow what i do coincidentally so over in the UK the 50s and rockabilly may be coming back

Saw them at the start of their first UK tour 1979 I think. I was about 2 feet away from Setzer on stage and his amp was sooo loud but unbelievably good. Never heard anything like it before or since. He gave me a drink of his beer from stage and his pick at the end. What a fanboy I was. Saw them a couple more times but the first is always the best.
