you skipped a part after first booting into endeOS, no desktop, there is terminal only where you have check internet by pinging google, how to go out of that or what to do in there

I think endeavour is arch based distro so you need hyperland-git instead of hyperland
I cant login even with my right credentials its just take me back into the login manager. I know its right user and passw because when I do it incorrectly its doesnt reboot me back to the login manger its just says im incorrect.
Its due to a bug with nvidia driver
You need to enable 3D graphics in your VM

I'm looking forward to using this as my main setup once I've made all the changes I want: sorting out the theming, replacing/disabling all the anime stuff, installing all the packages I'm used to. I've started by disabling hyprland logo and splash rendering, not sure how far I'll go before I'm fully happy with it, but it's a good start.

i have error when installing hyprdots, its said failed to install package:
-hyprland-git - exit status 4
-grimblast-git - exit status 8

Hello. I'm trying to follow the guide, but when i try to clone the github page it prompts me to enter my github credentials. I've followed some other tutorials in order to use the acces token since "support for password authentication was removed on August 13, 2021", but it still says "authentication failed". Is there something i'm doing wrong or a way to fix it? Sorry for taking your time
Try this with Wget just run the below command:
wget codeload.github.com/prasanthrangan/hyprdots/zip/refs/heads/main
then you will see a file called *Main*
then run
*mv main main.zip*
then run
*unzip main.zip*
Hi, maybe somebody need my comment, i have same problem, but now see that i type hyper instead of hypr... so check yourself 😅
might be a late reply but better than nothing, i suggest check your spelling that was my case or if it is correct and still asking for auth, get a token and type it carefully in the password section.

Hey, how stable was this setup? I tried doing something similar with CachyOS+Hyprdots but it feels a bit buggy. Maybe it's just Wayland + Nvidia tbh. I'm just wondering if I should install Arch + Hyprdots instead

(because it always starts in tty and I have to log in and start writing "hyprland"), thank you and again congratulations for the great work

Reinstall the OS. Or else before installing hyprland if you have made any backup using TimeShift, you can restore .

You need to setup XDG desktop backend support for hyprland.
Do this -

end of the page you will see instructions to build and install. Just run the command inside terminal and restart your computer. It will fix your issue.

The wallpapers change in c.a. 5 seconds. I don't know if the resolution too high or something else but it take too much time to switch wallpapers. Do you have a suggestion, can I add wallpapers, can I lower wallpaper resolution?

Yes it's buggy. It uses ~/Pictures folder for wallpapers. Try to drop some lower resolution wallpapers over there.
Okay one question if you're still replying @kskroyaltech so, if I setup a live wallpaper, will the rice adapt it as same as it does to jpg or png wallpapers, I checked the repo, he didn't used pywal so I'm curious and I don't even know if pywal can do that tbh
i have HP ProBook 4520s Notebook PC, i3 M 380 @ 2.53 GHz, no nvidia, 6gigs ram i ran the script just fine on my endeavourOS but after I reboot on the log in screen I can change my default i3wm into hyprland now but when I log in its only blackscreen and after a while endeavour just redirects me to log in screen again other i3wm works fine but hyprland blackscreens
would i be able to install this config on top of another one?

Man, I'm running into a wall with the Cargo installation.
When I'm building the Cargo files from the git repo, right as it reaches the "208/211" percentage I get the "warning: build failed, waiting for other jobs to finish..."
usually with these 'build failed' issues, I would do 'cargo clean' or install any missing dependencies that's usually showed under the red "ERROR:" thing but this time it's a whole bunch of things I can't understand. I would appreciate if someone were so kind to help me here.

So, this hyprdot file doesn't work in VM environment.. I have been trying to install it, I only succeeded in getting to the login screen, as soon as I enter my password all i get is a black screen and I am returned back to the login screen. Any idea about this issue ? I see that you installed over Endeavour OS and not Arch, so i was just curious, I did a minimal install and proceeded just like prasantha mentioned in his installation guide

@@kskroyaltech Hi bro, I tried it, on Endeavour OS, i get to the login screen, as soon as i type the password, i get a black screen and then I am returned to the login screen. Didn't work, however, i saw 3 errors when the Hyprdot script was running, it was at the initial stage, I noticed it everytime but couldn't take an SS. Didn't have this issue before, ever since Arch released it's 2 Feb updates, it's been occuring ever since.
I have dual OS windows and endeavour how do i make it so it recognizes the window partition at boot?

Hi! I am experiencing some problems running any games on Steam with hyprdots. Specifically, I attempted to launch Football Manager 2024 and Counter-Strike 2, but neither game opens. I have tested various Wine/ProtonGe, and even the native Linux executable for Counter-Strike 2 fails to open. I am not sure whether this issue is related to my Arch configuration. I have installed Arch in minimal mode, following the hyprdots documentation, and I am relatively new to Linux gaming so maybe I forgot to install somethng idk. Any help will be welcome! Thanks!
what anticheat does CS2 use? Many pvp games still struggle on linux due to their use of anticheat. Also have you tested other games? Also also, check it's not a wayland issue, as I recently learned some games behave unexpectedly or, in rare cases, not at all under wayland.

You can install many OSes on your system. But for this video, you must need a separate drive to Setup endeavour OS with hyprland.

It's not a Desktop Environment. A powerful Wayland compositor ,sort of Dynamic Tiling window manager that doesnt compromise it looks.

after entering the chmod, im always asked for my sudo password
do this:
*chmod a+x install.sh*
then
*./install.sh*
sudo password will be asked after executing the script , because they are some packages to be installed right.

@@kskroyaltech Hi, Linux Noob here, what should I do? When the installation is compleated I see that some packages wasn't installed (pokemon-colorscripts). I noticed that files of pokemon-colorscripts hosted on GitLab which is blocked by my provider (403). I just skipped that and noticed that I dont get rebooted too. I typed "sudo shutdown -r now" and after rebooting nothing changed.

Because there is no desktop to have icons placed on it. Please read upon what hyprland is as a wm.
It's more or less a Window manager and everything is operated through the keyboard shortcuts. Read Hyprland manual. wiki.hyprland.org/

Wallpaper engine has not made a linux version. I would recommend you to give swww a try, as you can set animated wallpapers and video files as your background. In addition to that, it offers very smooth transitions for changing wallpapers!

windows + q button u can also change this editing the config file .config/hypr/keybindings.conf
Super + Q .. Super is nothing but windows Key on windows keyboard & command key on Mac keyboard.
You can change the keyboard binding to close any app found in *.config/hypr/keybindings.conf*
