i've never been able to make the jump from "this is an unattainable millionaire lifestyle" to "this is funny". maybe it's me being neurodivergent or from the working class, but it's always annoying and never funny. i'm not watching the kardashians, i'm not watching the vanderpumps. it's a constant reminder that the entire political system oppresses the working class to live lavishly on our backs. no hate AT ALL! to angelika or anybody that watches them, but i just wonder what's different between us that i physically cannot watch those shows and some can.
I think what irks me the most is that they "cosplay" the country lifestyle. They act like they are down to earth farmers but can only do the "fun" part of it because they are insanely rich while the rest of us can only dream about even having one parent staying home because our current economy doesn’t allow that for most families.
The names don’t seem so crazy when you’re a baby, maybe if you grow up to be an artist or something but imagine applying to law school or medical school as Rumble Honey Smith 😭
i feel like the whole nara smith thing is such a nothingburger. the only thing i have an issue with is her "homemade spf", cause it's obv not a proper spf and wouldnt protect the way it should. i just hope no one copied that one
There are a lot of people promoting making your own sunscreen right now and I agree it's crazy. Lab muffin beauty science did a whole thing about it and it's kind of icky that it seems like it's gaining traction with people. All of the content creators I've seen talking about homemade sunscreen have been men, weirdly enough.
When she first blew up everyone on twitter was like she's from a Mormon cult or something and they are like trapping women into the tradwife bs, i don't have tiktok so idk her content so idk how much of that is true, cuz there so many viral tweets about her content being "concerning" or whatever
Exactly. I don't believe in making your own spf- it's so dangerous and a bad idea to put out in general. I don't watch Nara's content by itself- only when it's featured on a video and I don't take any of her stuff so seriously. She's obviously a very wealthy woman who enjoys making things from scratch, as do I, so I like seeing her cooking content and how she does everything.
@@WaffleSalad but who says they'll live in Utah their whole life? These children will be adults for most of their life and they're named like racehorses
She might not be taking things seriously but making diy sunscreen was too far, literally endangering the public. You just know it's kids who are going to pay the price with blistering sunburns.
People need to understand that Nara Smith is a model of some sort. She has a lot of money while other trad wife followers are going downhill. Women are being left by their husbands or partner with no money.
Wrong. You can use essential oils (in this case peppermint oil) for your dental hygiene, it's common to rinse your mouth with water infused with peppermint or tea tree oil. They both inhibit the biofilm of bacteria on your teeth, so they are beneficial to your oral hygiene. So unless you are drinking those oils (like who tf drinks) there aren't any problems
5:18 Nara is actually so funny with these Winnie the Pooh ass names I can’t 😭 and then the tooth paste like girl Ik y’all were about to go to bed but Ik damn well a Walgreens or a grocery store was open SOMEWHERE, ik it’s all just for content but everything she do is so funny to me omg 😭
The homemade sunscreen that's scientifically impossible to be even a tiny bit effective, that didnt bother you? Encouraging people to use something that wont protect their skin, for literally no reason? I find it interesting that you spent the most time on points you feel you disproved and then blew through the factually provable theft in just a couple seconds and didnt say anything about it. I enjoy and support your content but i also think its important to hold creators accountable when they're presenting about things like cancellations, because just the smallest spin on things can sway opinions of people who don't do their own research. Nara has also spoken herself on mormonism, stating that she's not wearing undergarments yet but that she and lucky are exploring it and deciding how they're going to raise their children. These are all factors that are important when people from opinions.
A lot of people here are like 'oh she's trolling'. We have had the internet for popular use for three decades. We should've learned by now that catching irony over the web is difficukt and that there's always going to be masses of people who take it seriously, or at the very least copy it to profit from it. It's like causing a gas leaks, calling it a prank and then blaming people for not getting out of the house.
@@Killjoy_Mel I wouldn't even care if she was trolling with *most* of her stuff honestly, because the sunscreen and toothpaste are damaging enough for me to lost any kind of respect I may have had for her. those are dangerous things to influence people into doing. Regarding the Onezwa situation, the issue isn’t about the content but the timeline. Nara claimed she didn’t know Onezwa, but she was caught in a lie as she had previously commented on Onezwa’s content. This raises questions about her credibility. As a follower of both, I’ve observed Nara posting the same recipes just a day or two after Onezwa. How many times should this happen before it stops being a coincidence? If Nara had credited Onezwa as her inspiration, we wouldn’t be here. UA-camrs frequently credit others by saying they got the idea from someone else, even if their aesthetics differ. Is Nara obligated to credit Onezwa? Technically, no. Did Onezwa invent those recipes? Also, no. However, it's clear that Nara gets some inspiration from Onezwa. Onezwa is a smaller creator, and having a bigger creator co-sign and credit her would be immensely helpful. Nara is not obligated to, but I feel it's only right. I think Nara was betting on the fact that she is bigger than Onezwa, therefore no one would notice, especially since their aesthetics are different. I can’t help but feel there’s a bit of bias in your take. It seems you might have gone with the flow rather than digging into the details. Showing videos that defend Onezwa, not just those supporting Nara, would present a more balanced view. As it stands, it feels like you’re curating content to fit your narrative. Here’s a link to a video that offers a neutral summary of the situation: [Video Link](ua-cam.com/video/A5c6iEPTceU/v-deo.htmlsi=SuRJfuTAeeldIiMV). Usually, I’m right there with you, but on this one, I respectfully disagree. ❤️
I feel like if a real trad wife would wanna have a Social Media, here’s what I think: 1. She’s a pick-me & is posing as a trad wife. 2. She genuinely wants to make money from home. 3. She just likes TikTok. Also WHY IS SHE NAMING HER FIRST 2 KIDS “RUMBLEHONEY” OR “SLIMEASY”
idk why everyone is coming for her for the kid's names that's obviously Lucky's thing 😭 like his name is Lucky Blue Smith, his sister is Pyper America Smith, his kid from the teen pregnancy he had with another girl is Gravity Blue Smith like it's def her husband that wanted the weird names. I'm sure she was on board but it wasn't her idea
How is she being a pickme? The only pickme here is the bitter person who coined the term 'pickme' in order to divide women even more. Straight up piitting women against eachother for their preferences. Who cares if someone is doing something for their men. Leave them alone.
@lyn8704 yeah Pick Mes were defined from their internal misogyny of putting other women down for male attention. I don't see Nara Smith doing that so it seems like people are using that as a term to just insult women now.
@@jinnyweaver people were using it to insult women who wouldn't act feminine & assumed she was doing it for attention, & the people either using it as an insult towards women can be chocked up to Incels, real pick-me girls, & people who think anyone woman who doesn't look feminine enough is a pick-me girl.

I mean.... for me its very obvious that she doesnt do these baking and cooking videos as an every day thing, its for videos, its like a character. Im sure she does cook and bake normally but people are really out here like "her poor kids! They had to wait over an hour to eat breakfast bc she wanted to make it from scratch".... they are probably the same people who believe ridiculous pictures on facebook that are clearly AI are real. 😂
I think its more about how its not just one coincidence, its a pattern of behaviour of doing the same recipe a few days later with nara it seems. The Marc Jacobs video seems like a huge stretch tho, since it has been such a long time ago. I think Marc Jacobs gave her that creative direction in 'baking' the bag from scratch as its what she is known for.
"I've been looking to Cancel Nara Smith for a long time" - Like girl why, it's so weird that you're wanting to ruin someone for no reason just because.
No, no Apple was before North & I’ll never forget it cuz people went bananas, for Apple. Clementine is cute but some of them are tough for the kid. Her husband is Lucky Bleu or blue he is stunning! I know he’s Mormon & she said she converted but she’s still learning. Ballerina is a whole different story & I don’t even HAVE social media/tiktok & know that. It seems Nara gets the trad label unnecessarily. If I had TikTok or liked short form, I’d love watching someone make from scratch food- especially unique things.
For a little girl. You try and see what happens when you're a 40-year-old and say 'oh, my name is Whimsy'. Names are forever, you're not naming a baby, you're naming a whole ass person.
That was a nickname, his real name is Prince Michael Jackson II. I don't know how the oldest one ended up as Prince, and Blanket was the worst nickname ever.
The thing that was the most ‘incriminating’ for lack of a better word towards Nara was in a reply to a comment she said ‘I didn’t copy her, I don’t even know who that is’ buuuut, there were many past comments she’d left on Onezwa’s TikTok’s. To me, that’s the damaging part cuz lying that you even know someone when you’ve left multiple comments on their videos makes you look guilty. None of this is earth shattering. The real crime is Onezwa has built that whole following & can’t monetize it. That sucks! I hope she can get brand deals.🙃 & the Marc Jacob’s situation is pretty shitty on both her & Marc Jacob’s fault cuz the brand absolutely knew about the other ad as they paid for & approved it.
The thing is, I don’t think she enjoys doing these things. It’s just an act to get more money that she doesn’t even need Also keep in mind she doesn’t do any of this alone she has an entire team to help her “make” everything “from scratch”
We need to understand that Nora Smith is a German model and is successful in money making. Women are quitting their jobs as if it is. It not good to start financially relying on your partner who makes money. Because when your partner is in control with the money they can leave you with only a dime and cheat on you.

I saw a video of her a while ago saying that she was under christianity but she was still figuring out her religious route (?) im not sure about her husband lucky though, i know he was raised in a mormon household but im not sure about right now! cant wait to watch the rest of the video :)

Yes. Originally LDS scriptures had multiple terrible versus about the dark skinned people would turn white and delightsum with the religion. But there are Black LDS members and more since the lift of the ‘priesthood ban’ in 1978. Now is she fully living mormondom? Absolutely not. But do her and her husband know that world come out of it and oush many of the same teachings and similar beliefs? Yes. I follow some ex Mormon youtubers and they have often spoken about how many mormon influencers dont own up to it and dont wear their garments but are still pushing the beliefs and getting massive help both directly and indirectly from the church and from the church community. For instance I bet all the essential oils she uses are from one of the two major Mormon essential oil companies. She also steals content from darker skinned black woman so…
I think people are blowing this whole "copying" thing way out of proportion. Nara is a creative person, and she's clearly good at marketing. Just because someone else had a similar idea doesn't mean she stole it. It's like saying every chef who makes a pasta dish is copying the first person who ever made pasta. It's a common theme, and everyone puts their own spin on it.
Please don't make excuses for her making toothpaste when you lead the video pointing out the money they have lol. They had toothpaste. It's less food content and is more the "everybody's so creative" mood.
I don’t think she steals in general but when two people have the same idea the “bigger” one always gets flack for it. Also she’s a huge example of rage baiting for views and that’s why I could never get into Nara even if I was someone who liked that kinda content.
I watch a lot of Nara Smith and I have never once heard her says she is Mormon. She couldn't be a current Mormon they have strict undergarments they have to wear and things they can't have but she mentions that they have in the house.
Wait a minute! Okay, I'm a casual Nara Smith viewer, like when her cooking videos come up on my fyp and she seemed really nice, I mean I'll check back in half an hour when I finish the video but I really can't imagine what the drama could be
I’m pretty sure she grew up Mormon, and same with her husband, but i don’t think they entirely subscribe to it anymore. I like Nara smith. She’s funny, especially lately. She makes videos making fun of herself. She has never claimed to be a trad wife, either.
Please please talk about RawBeautyKristi. I never comment on videos, but this needs to be talked about! (I asked before on another video). She's willfully ignoring it and plans on uploading every day in August. She's probably doing it to push the drama videos down👀
@kymberleighkemp8176 she's gone down the crunchy to alt-right pipeline. She's part of a homeschool co-op that was created by her sister and they attended a 4th of July parade and there's a photo of her son holding anti-lgbt+ signs. The mission statement of the co-op states something about the "perverse public school system." She's also just very odd when it comes to her son. I can tell she's trying to keep him as close to her as possible, not in a healthy way. It's a lot. There's a megathread on the r/BeautyGuruChatter subreddit with more
@@J-Breezy oh man I didn’t know about that! I mean I know she moved to a rural area and they’re doing the homestead thing but I really only watch the makeup videos… think I’ll be unsubscribing! I was already thinking about it but your comment has solidified it. Thanks for sharing!
@kymberleighkemp8176 yeah I've been watching her since before the JH lipstick video. It sucked that I had to unsub, but her content hasn't been that interesting lately anyway😬
The Marc Jacobs situation makes me wonder if she signed over the concept in her contract when the cherry video was made. Especially seeing as how it was for Marc Jacobs official. Usually if you do a marketing concept for a large company, they own the entirety of the product that was created so they can reuse later if needed.
Do you know any of her (the girl claiming it's her intellectual property) social media handles? I'd like to go deep dive but I don't know her handles😂 I have ADHD and autism I'm struggling with this😂😂😂😂😂
I truly believe she's not FOR REAL, whatever. But I think we reached a level of we don't know if she's for real or not even if she said she's real, kinda like how Courtney Miller and Shayne Topp got married and publically announced it on the 1. April so literally not even friends of theirs were sure if they actually got married for like 2 weeks. Also the "drama", I totally understand when a wealthy woman makes the same content, and is maybe even inspired by your content, but you live on a farm in south africa and are not rich, that you would get annoyed on her fame, while you do the same stuff but struggle, right? Nara Smith could totally turn the tides by simply saying, "oh she inspired me a lot, you can also watch her if you want to see more of that content" period.
I don't think it's that weird when you remember in Asia their names often are other things, like flowers, fruits, a phrase, like it's just not the norm for us in north America and Europe.
please talk about Mr Beast and him denying basic human rights to contestants. Rosanna pansino made multiple videos, 100s of contestants and crew have come out about it and i havent seen anyone talking about it and its really upsetting because thats what he wants, he will be able to get away with it again
This is literally my mom, she was a single mom who was working so nothing to do with trad wives but she just likes making stuff. Like her own nutella, anti-mosquito spray, cereal, bread, different scents and creams etc. I feel like sometimes people love doing that themselves.
Nara Smith's narrative that this isn't her JOB is the problem. Her kids might not even eat what she makes. It's a JOB -- no different to any other mum returning to work. The betrayal is the lie that this is just her being a stay at home mum.
Imagine meeting someone named Slim Easy, and asking them "no, really, what's your real name?" And they just look more and more defeated as they tell you "no, my parents really named me that."
Tbf, yes the names are bit ridiculous. But their dads name is Lucky Blue. Before Nara he dated Stormi and they had a girl called Gravity. Their aunt is named Pyper America. Like, they’re surrounded by ridiculous names so it probably means nothing to them.
I feel like these recipes take time to plan and record, like more than two days? It is strange timing, but almost impossible timing Edit: I mean impossible for her to see it and copy it within two days
You're not gonna talk about the other controversy about her being so anti fast food and processed food and then making a video going to McDonalds mid boycott...Yeah I blocked her after that bcuz it was clearly just promoting McDonald's which is wild considering her brand.
Not only have I seen people make videos with the calm voice for years, but i’ve seen about a hundred home made boba pearls over the course of 6 years and multiple moz videos. This drama is made to bring more views to Onezwa.
Tell me u didn’t watch the whole video without telling me. Also what’s there to defend? Her baby names? Her homemade recipes? 😭 This is a joke yall are bored
So people Bashing a persons new content for what reason? Shes telling people what to do she just sharing her way of cooking and living. Because shes different and she is not lazy, does all of the work herself with the help of her husband. I think people who get on social media and talk negative of a persons life online is pretty pathetic. The world need more people who are spontaneous and happy, and show that they take joy from simple things with their family. Trad or not who cares she is happy to share herself and her families way of living good on them for showing their are people in the world who are not miserable and ALWAYS! Negative or JEALOUS! Of another persons content. May she continue to raise her family with the ethic of doing things for yourself and being HAPPY!
I feel like those ads for Marc Jacob had the same vibe, but we’re still very different. The girl who made them first was still a good idea and it was cute, I think Nara just kind of expanded on it, if she knew about it. Or maybe they both had the same direction from Marc Jacob and came to the same idea, they say great minds think alike.🤷🏽♀️
I don't really get why she is so upset that marc jacobs used the same concept in the ad with Nara Smith. Imo when you make an ad for a company, the company owns the video and the concept in it.
But she didn't do that, they paid her in PRODUCT, to make a video, they own that video, so if they want to use that video 10 million times they can, however, they do not own the IP rights to the concepts used in that video, those rights still belong to the creator of the content, UNLESS, Marc Jacobs (the business) made her sign a contract that says somewhere in the fine print, "by providing us with (BOSSASSCONTENT) and accepting payment of (x,y,z), you hereby grant us permission to use, repurpose, recreate, duplicate, etc. any material found in BOSSASSCONTENT, in part or in whole, including but not limited to; dialogue, set design, marketing concepts, storylines, wardrobe, etc etc" If they weren't unethical and didn't force her to sign a contract like that, it's still her IP, but they most likely did make her sign a contract like that, because most, not all! But most companies are unethical and only care about money, it's sad Can anyone just give me her socials please?😂
I dont think i ever watch celebs or influencers thinking i need to replicate anything they do. To me its entertainment and the same goes for how they dress/look, etc. I realize we have different lives and seeing someone do smth doesnt translate to me as a "this means i should also do it". Plus i think ppl are the ones who made nara the face or tradviwes w how much they labelled her as such, more than nara did herself.
@angelikaoles What I don't get is why people say she's a trad wife just because she enjoys making things from scratch and because they're Mormon. there's not actual evidence she's a tradwife based on anything she has said. how is that fair? so all people who make things from scratch are trad wives?
i mean, all her backstories for her recipes are bits i think, like yes her kids and lucky probably do ask for these foods, but i don’t think everyday Nara spends 2-4 hrs on each meal. she eats fast food and her and lucky go to restaurants, but she likes cooking and it helps manage her eczema better. and lucky does more of the baking and takes care of the kids when she’s working. i think the only reason people “saw” similarities between Nara and the South African tiktoker is that they are both African and cook from scratch. other than that they have no similarities in their content. Nara’s is more satire and obviously more “rich people things”. the other woman is very cozy, intimate and more “day in my life on my farm”.
You clearly didn't grow up in the 80s or 90s if you think things are super processed now. Kids used to have Kool-Aid moustaches 24 hours a day. The largest increase of moms working outside of the home happened in the 80s. So kids were eating canned ravioli and microwave dinners. The idea that foods are so much processed now is a fallacy that romanticizes "the good old days"
@@ptcglass quality of unprocessed stuff, sure. But the quality of processed stuff has improved. There’s more knowledge now. And social media. Parents can mobilize and advocate. There are a lot of people promoting making your own sunscreen right now and I agree it's crazy. Lab muffin beauty science did a whole thing about it and it's kind of icky that it seems like it's gaining traction with people.

Same. I 100% thought it was making fun of the tradwives. But then I saw the sunscreen thing, and I started wondering if she was serious.

I'm sure she was on board but it wasn't her idea
why would she be a pick me? shes married to a top guy model i dont think shes doing her tiktokts for male attention

I truly believe she's not FOR REAL, whatever.
But she didn't do that, they paid her in PRODUCT, to make a video, they own that video, so if they want to use that video 10 million times they can, however, they do not own the IP rights to the concepts used in that video, those rights still belong to the creator of the content, UNLESS, Marc Jacobs (the business) made her sign a contract that says somewhere in the fine print, "by providing us with (BOSSASSCONTENT) and accepting payment of (x,y,z), you hereby grant us permission to use, repurpose, recreate, duplicate, etc. any material found in BOSSASSCONTENT, in part or in whole, including but not limited to; dialogue, set design, marketing concepts, storylines, wardrobe, etc etc"
If they weren't unethical and didn't force her to sign a contract like that, it's still her IP, but they most likely did make her sign a contract like that, because most, not all! But most companies are unethical and only care about money, it's sad
Can anyone just give me her socials please?😂

I dont think i ever watch celebs or influencers thinking i need to replicate anything they do. To me its entertainment and the same goes for how they dress/look, etc. I realize we have different lives and seeing someone do smth doesnt translate to me as a "this means i should also do it".
Plus i think ppl are the ones who made nara the face or tradviwes w how much they labelled her as such, more than nara did herself.
Social media??? Girl they are both models !!hellooo
Fresh new post for my break 😎
My only problem with Nara is why all the sudden she’s speaking with a 1-900 voice. I did a deep dive and she never spoke like that before.
Ok but I don’t hate clementine or ivy
My name is Pear😅
So cute ❤❤
Nara: I also really love the name "Pippin"
Me, without hesitation: LIKE THE FUCKING HOBBIT?!
Honestly she fascinates me I’m looking forward to this lmao
Same! She’s so interesting
The quality has gone down significantly
@@ptcglass quality of unprocessed stuff, sure. But the quality of processed stuff has improved. There’s more knowledge now. And social media. Parents can mobilize and advocate. Kids in the 80s and 90s were freebasing corn syrup and trans fatty acids. The food pyramid taught in schools was basically an ad for the dairy industry lol
Good point 🧐
