I personally feel that the only reason people "enjoy" Boruto is because they missed out on Naruto. Like the new fans mostly like to feel invested in a growing storyline ( a series which is yet to ended) and by watching Boruto they feel like they are contributing to Naruto if that makes any sense.

Tbh the first 65 episodes was great, up till the end of the Momoshiki arc. Their was actual build up and all that, but then their was massive downhill in quality of the story and animation after that.
Boruto manga is the Last jedi of Shounen. Disrespect and humiliate the past to glorify the present. boruto can't stand on its own. The anime relied on nostalgia with that time travel shenanigan. If you can't write compelling story and characters without tearing down established ones then that's just weak and terrible writing. You don't bring back beloved characters the fans grew up with just to be treated as fodder and stepping stone for a terribly written main character in burrito.
They should’ve just kept Naruto and the Gang as the mains and the kids as the secondary. There’s still much more to tell about them as adults especially since we could see what Naruto’s life is like as he reaches his lifelong dream as hokage from his POV.

Boruto relies to heavily on the regular series for its success. You shouldn’t need to use the old series so much for a new generation of characters. Examples being all the characters names are their parents names combined, their outfits and personalities are their parents combined. The only fights fans care about the most always involve Naruto and Sasuke rather than the new characters making their own mark in the show.
On one hand we have people complaining Naruto is barely in the show, on the other hand fillers with the new gen side cast are the most commonly skipped
the only thing i liked about boruto was himawari. they have to delete the anime and either do a prequel or a slice of life with himawari and naruto having the peace they deserved for at least 200 episodes just to finish naruto anime with an happy end and pay respect to all who watched naruto and waited for him to be happy then they can start the action and training and all that with naruto showing up every 300 episodes more or less as an last resort, go all out and obliterate every enemy just as he should with out nerfs. since sasuke only has 1 arm its okay if he is nerfed but they could give him an epic gamer moment where he gets an arm and goes all out like netero from hxh and ends up dead but with a full fight full budget 2 arms epic one of the top fights in the anime with naruto last resort. thats what we deserve. not this dog shit trash anime boruto. its so fucking disgusting
I get they wanted to keep that cash flow especially since Naruto and anime in general blew tf even more in 2015. Not only that we've seen with the examples above that everything in an anime can better if it's seasonal. The animation, pacing, budget and much more has more time to be thought out and worked on. I really hope this series turns out to be a GT of some sorts because it genuinely sucks. Not just the anime but the manga too. I honestly don't have anything against the character of Boruto, but since we didn't get to see much of the relationships of Naruto after shippuden, combined with the fact the we don't get to see the old cast as much in the show, My feeling for wanting more of Naruto isn't gratified; when I finished Naruto shippuden I wanted to see more of Naruto and Hinata, I wanted to see more of Iruka sensei and the others. Overall, I think people would have felt more satisfied if we got a backstory of Boruto before we actually got to see Boruto as a story on its own. the reason Naruto shippuden was as successful was because it was a direct continuation of Naruto.

Im just neutral about Boruto, its not horrible but not super great like some people say. When I first watched it I hated it because of how much of a brat Boruto was and that was just one reason. After watching it for a while I decided it wasnt all that bad although I probably just watched it to see Naruto again but I just lost interest in the show. They shouldn't exist in the first place and Naruto should've been canceled after the final episode of Shippuden and The Last and Star Wars should've ended after Return of the Jedi (Chronologically), as bad as the prequals are they have at least have a place and set up the epic Clone Wars TV show.
I mainly just hate Boruto because they killed my boi Kurama, but also because I would have much rather seen a story about Minato or the first and second hokages or something There's also a lot of other reasons I don't really like it, one example being that the antagonists are really shallow and they didn't really develop Boruto in a way that makes you like... Here's how I write Boruto: Boruto lives in quite modern (80s-90s) life. KARA organization acting as "those Boomer Will never you! We understand you!". Later it's revealed that KARA it's a cult that brain wash youg gen into fanatics, causing troubles. (Most of it easily handled by Naruto and friends). Those OP alien didn't appear, but being hint over and over.
@@Irokoro. 1) Mid art style - Compared to Og Naruto and Shippuden, Boruto's artstyle in the manga is complete garbage. 2) Inconsistent Power scaling. - On hand Boruto & Kawaki are struggling against the shinju's but somehow it's Team 10 who had no relevance in NNG are able to keepup with Shinju Jura just because of good teamwork 💀 I call that plain bs. 3) Most of the battles in this manga have bad fight choreography, Ikemoto literally copies Dragon Ball fights which makes most fights in the series horrible to read. 4) Lack of World Building - Somehow the garbage plot has only revolved around Konoha throughout the series, we haven't seen other villages once in almost 7-8 years of this manga's existence. 5) Failure to develop the support cast - Characters like Mitsuki, Sarada etc are completely under utilised throughout the series, they have no mentor, no training arcs, they are far behind in terms of power compared to Boruto and Kawaki.

That is why he uses speed lines (in some cases excessively) and doesn't do double spreads. I personally think the fights flow very well and I enjoyed the dragon ball manga so I am ok with the speedlines. If you don't like Ikemoto taking inspiration from or paying homage to dragon ball then that's you opinion. 4) Lack of World Building I agree that the manga as mainly taken place in Konoha and not shown many other villages. I would love to see other characters introduced into the manga from Naruto form other villages. I think that the Shinki Shinju is a good way to introduce Garra back into the manga along with to see the impact omnipotence has on the world and not just in Konoha (we even got a glimpse of it in the current chapter). 5) Failure to develop the support cast I do agree with wanting to see Mitsuki and Sarada train more (especially with Sarada's Mangekyō) so they can be more relevant. The fact that they are far behind in terms of power compared to Boruto and Kawaki are fine as that was how it was with Naruto and Sasuke at the end of Naruto. Shikamaru, Ino, Sai, Sakura, Choji, Hinata and Lee were not even close to how powerful Naruto and Sasuke were. In the end the manga is unfinished and I would let Kishimoto and Ikemoto cook and see where the series goes.

Boruto relies to heavily on the regular series for its success. You shouldn’t need to use the old series so much for a new generation of characters.
Examples being all the characters names are their parents names combined, their outfits and personalities are their parents combined. The only fights fans care about the most always involve Naruto and Sasuke rather than the new characters making their own mark in the show.
On one hand we have people complaining Naruto is barely in the show, on the other hand fillers with the new gen side cast are the most commonly skipped

I honestly don't have anything against the character of Boruto, but since we didn't get to see much of the relationships of Naruto after shippuden, combined with the fact the we don't get to see the old cast as much in the show, My feeling for wanting more of Naruto isn't gratified; when I finished Naruto shippuden I wanted to see more of Naruto and Hinata, I wanted to see more of Iruka sensei and the others. Overall, I think people would have felt more satisfied if we got a backstory of Boruto before we actually got to see Boruto as a story on its own. the reason Naruto shippuden was as successful was because it was a direct continuation of Naruto.

Im just neutral about Boruto, its not horrible but not super great like some people say. When I first watched it I hated it because of how much of a brat Boruto was and that was just one reason. Boruto lives in quite modern (80s-90s) life.
KARA organization acting as "those Boomer Will never you! We understand you!". Later it's revealed that KARA it's a cult that brain wash youg gen into fanatics, causing troubles. (Most of it easily handled by Naruto and friends).

You shouldn't make it so easy for Naruto and Sasuke to beat them it's boring if the fight last like 2 minutes

1) Mid art style
- Compared to Og Naruto and Shippuden, Boruto's artstyle in the manga is complete garbage.
2) Inconsistent Power scaling.
- On hand Boruto & Kawaki are struggling against the shinju's but somehow it's Team 10 who had no relevance in NNG are able to keepup with Shinju Jura just because of good teamwork 💀
I call that plain bs.
3) Most of the battles in this manga have bad fight choreography, Ikemoto literally copies Dragon Ball fights which makes most fights in the series horrible to read.
4) Lack of World Building
- Somehow the garbage plot has only revolved around Konoha throughout the series, we haven't seen other villages once in almost 7-8 years of this manga's existence.
5) Failure to develop the support cast
- Characters like Mitsuki, Sarada etc are completely under utilised throughout the series, they have no mentor, no training arcs, they are far behind in terms of power compared to Boruto and Kawaki.

- That's your opinion and I can't say anything about that. I agree that Kishimoto is a better artist than Ikemoto, but the art style is not "trash". There's a reason Kishimoto chose Ikemoto for Narutos successor.

- Boruto was not struggling against the shinju due to training over the time skip. Kawaki got embarrassed by Jura due to not training over the time skip. Team 10 was not keeping up with Jura. They were able to stop a Mokuton Tree in the village from capturing Himawari but did nothing against Jura not even going all out. Even Himawari with the Kyubi amp couldn't keep up with Jura.

- Ikemoto's biggest inspiration was Toriyama. That is why he uses speed lines (in some cases excessively) and doesn't do double spreads. I personally think the fights flow very well and I enjoyed the dragon ball manga so I am ok with the speedlines. If you don't like Ikemoto taking inspiration from or paying homage to dragon ball then that's you opinion.
4) Lack of World Building
I agree that the manga as mainly taken place in Konoha and not shown many other villages. I would love to see other characters introduced into the manga from Naruto form other villages. I think that the Shinki Shinju is a good way to introduce Garra back into the manga along with to see the impact omnipotence has on the world and not just in Konoha (we even got a glimpse of it in the current chapter).
5) Failure to develop the support cast
I do agree with wanting to see Mitsuki and Sarada train more (especially with Sarada's Mangekyō) so they can be more relevant. The fact that they are far behind in terms of power compared to Boruto and Kawaki are fine as that was how it was with Naruto and Sasuke at the end of Naruto. Shikamaru, Ino, Sai, Sakura, Choji, Hinata and Lee were not even close to how powerful Naruto and Sasuke were.
In the end the manga is unfinished and I would let Kishimoto and Ikemoto cook and see where the series goes.
