hi, what do you think about using a funky contrasting colour that compliments the stone on the inside as the first layer of wrap so it kinda shows through a little bit with the regular silver on the top?
We carry a variety of shapes and sizes on our site. These cogs were designed to work with the crystal sizes. However, you can check out the other metal blanks we carry on the site. www.beaducation.com/pc/188-metal-stamping-blanks
Your demo is awesome. Thank you for sharing. I have a pattern from bead & wire mag. I feel more confident about the project and where to order the supplies. What do you think about using a piece of tape to hold the bead in place just to get started and to keep the bead stable. Second, will you be at bead fest in Philadelphia 2014 or any shows in the Philadelphia area in 2014.
Hi! Of course you could try using a bit of tape to stabilize the stone. Once you make your first pendant holding the stone in place with your fingers it becomes second nature. We won't be at Bead Fest 2014, we're taking a year off to focus on fun new projects here at Beaducation Headquarters.
you can use a sewing needle to LIFT the tail at the top so you can grab it,,often a needle can get in easier and it will just lift and pull the wire out of the design
You can find a list of tools and materials needed to complete this project at: www.beaducation.com/online_classes/168

Hi Tamika! Yes, play with different colors of wire! It makes for really cool results. Have fun!
Do you have the metal in any shape other than round? These are so lovely but I have several large Swarovski ovals I'd love to do if possible 😊

Will Diamond Glaze be okay instead of
Nail polish?
yeah that does work but I have found that really high quality clear nail polish is a bit thicker and more protective for this application.
