Thank you, you go at the perfect pace!
Muy bien explicado y una toma perfecta!! Gracias
I've been making ear wires for a month now, but I still got a few nuggets to make my wires more consistent and stronger!
Lots of great info - very interesting. The 1st pair looked so easy to do...in fact I shall try to make myself. Many thanks, much appreciated!
this was a great tutorial! I was able to make the first pair of ear wires that looked professional. I did also hammer the ear wires as well. Thank you Lisa!
I very much enjoyed watching this. I recently got back into beading and this was the perfect refresher. Even as a hobbyist I recommend investing in the multi-step plier and make a pair of earwires at the same time so you have exact mates.
now that made it much easier and a BIG $$ saver!!!
Thank you
Very good. Thanks.
I love your channel. It's very very educational and funny.
Haha, Melissa, you pretty much nailed my goals as a teacher....good info and laughter :) Thanks for the feedback!

clara hopkins very good

Will a glass nail file do to job for smoothing the tip?
Hi! We like the Wire Rounder tool, but give it a shot! We love to hear about how about viewers experiment with other ways of creating jewelry!
Here's a link to the Wire Rounder: www.beaducation.com/zen_products/64-wire-rounder-set
Hi! Thanks for that perfekt tutorial. I just wonder where I can buy that 3-steps round noseplier (I don´t know the name of this tool, live in sweden and don´t know the name for this in swedish either :D Please help
Vigdis Söderlund Thanks! You can find links to all the tools used in this class here beaducation.com/online_classes/39-making-your-own-earwires?cat=2
This was so helpful! I want to make my own earwires, but I was wondering if there is gold colored stainless steel wire sold in spools, or even titanium. Do you sell that?
sorry Charlee, I have never seen that
Would you address the ‘work hardening” of the wire and the importance of doing so?
Work hardening is the process of strengthening of the metal. It's important when making components like earwires because you want the metal to hold its shape.
I don't have the tool to sand the tip As you demonstrate. What can I use instead ??
You can use fine grit sandpaper.
how do you know the tip is smooth enough to go through the person's pierced ears? I do not have pierced ears and worry if I a am sanding and using the cup burr correctly?
Leslie Flores I just go by touch. I feel the end after I have sanded and make sure it's not scratchy. Maybe wipe it along the back of your arm and make sure it feels smooth enough.
Thank you so much! I appreciate your advice...Love your work!
Can you make ear wires out of eye pins?
Im sure you can, but if it's long enough. We recommend using wire so you know you have plenty to work with :)
Beaducation Thank you. I actually was able to make some out of eye pins. I was wondering more about the type of wire that used in eye pins and whether it’s safe for ears.
What is the name of tutorial for dangling earrings at end of this one
We do not have a tutorial for those earring. They are just an example of what you can make using the loop making technique. We do however, have a video on making spirals. Which you can see is at the bottom of the earrings. It's called perfecting the wire spiral.

Are these silver ear wires?
Yes, Sterling Silver.
can we use a paper clip to make earrings?
Hmmmmm, I don't recommend that. Most people are allergic in some way to base metals and the metal used to make paper clips will irritate your ears.
Maybe you could use a paperclip to make a little charm or pendant for a long chain; something that won't be directly on your skin is my advice.
