    I loved how you do these, this would be so much easier for those of us getting older and may have issues with those tiny little clasp’s that can be so hard to hold on to that tiny little spring back to close your necklace. Thank you for this.

    Its an art what you do, i make my own fishing spinners and
    making the top loop i found the hardest, not now.
    Watching you putting a loop into a loop got me sorted
    with just the one. Thank you.
    ps it amazes me the way you bend wire into such beautiful
    things, as mentioned it is an art.

    You explain so well...especially the little things, like holding the wire at the very end of your finger before forming the small loop [3:02 + 4:09]. Little tips like that can make all the difference. I come from a teaching family and also got my teaching certification in graduate school, so I know good instruction when I see it! Does this works on a flat leather cord

    • @beaducation
      @beaducation  Рік тому

      It could. It would likely work best if you kinda bent over the flat leather to have it better fit in the coil

    Beautiful! Thank you so much! Question: If I wanted to do something similar to a piece of flat leather (say, one-half inch wide), would I still wrap the leather? It seems like wire wrapping wouldn't look as good on a flat piece.

    • @beaducation
      @beaducation  8 років тому +2

      +Lori Riley Hello! We agree it may not be the best for a flat piece of leather. Maybe look into adding a snap clasp, or other fold over end. Good luck!

    Great tutorial, thanks! Question, though. Would the liver of sulphur hurt the leather?

    • @beaducation
      @beaducation  9 років тому

      Tamara Sunspirit the leather really will never come into contact with the liver of sulphur (LOS). You will only use the LOS to oxidize the clasp before attaching it to the leather.

    • @Themamavoice
      @Themamavoice 9 років тому

      Beaducation So you also oxidize the wire before you wrap it around the leather to create the loops that the clasp connects to? Have you ever tried briefly dipping it in the LOS mixture WITH the leather already attached? Just wondering :-) Thanks!

    • @beaducation
      @beaducation  9 років тому

      Tamara Sunspirit yes, peroxiding would work best. I wouldn't put the leather and the wire in together. The LOS is a super bad stink and I would worry that it would hurt the leather or the stink would stick.

    • @beaducation
      @beaducation  7 років тому

      Hi Nancy. Do you mean pre oxidizing? That is when you oxidize the wire or metal first before working with it, rather than oxidizing after you have shaped it.
