Don’t know why Noel always tears this to shreds in commentaries/interviews. Its a tune and sounds great, one of the songs where the distorted, overblown ‘Be Here Now’ sound really fits.
You are right man This is a classic tune, this is THE song of the 90's, my favourite song. BHN is a fucking great album every track on it is awesome I don't know why people is always bashing on it
@@JordiPujadesGirona oh i totally know he doesnt like the album, and as far as its sound/mix goes i agree. Its just in some interviews he seemed to especially dislike this tune, and i never knew why.
Discovered this masterpiece 5 years ago, I think the song was airing on the radio, I immediately felt touched by the song, the melody, the lyrics, everything meant so much, and I was listening to it on repeat while I was going to high school, while eating or during a pause hour or while waiting for one of my teachers. Then I forgot about it until this year, I was like looking for songs in my liked titles on Spotify and saw the song was still there, kinda waiting. So I listened to it again, and my obsession with this song started again. It's been like 3 months I've been listening to it on repeat and I think this time I'm sure I won't forget about it anymore, and this is my favourite Oasis song so far. Of course, Oasis is a great band with so much other beautiful songs. But this one is THE MASTERPIECE. Don't understand why the album didn't work and why Noel thinks it's a shitty album because NO THIS IS NOOOOT. Moreover, the camera video show the date September 20th... my birthday date, Coincidence.
Now look up the song "All The Young Dudes" by Mott The Hoople and weep, as you realise that this "masterpiece" is a completely unoriginal rip off because they ran out of Beatles chord progressions to steal. Oasis didn't make any good albums after Morning Glory.
Very smart that they played a riff which doesn't really go with the progression of the chords after the words 'nobody knows the way it's going to be'. It's unexpected. Brilliant.
it's not smart at all? it's a rip off from many, many songs, all the young dudes by Mott the hoople for example. oasis weren't musical geniuses that's for sure, but they certainly knew how to write hits
@@jamesrooney81 No it isn't. It's what happens when your dad beats you up almost every day and Liam gets hit on the head so hard with a hammer when he's a schoolkid that he loses consciousness and has to be taken to hospital. That attack has got to have done some brain damage. And those beatings won't have helped them any.
i love how authentic oasis is. somehow i always find myself in them their music is too personal yet very nostalgic to me it means so much to me it reminds of better times

Oasis were probably the last of the truly great bands for the working class, when there still was a proper working class, in what you could call the "old world", pre millenium.
true. They spoke to the working class in a way nobody else can or could. if you have never been on a building site you may not be able to relate..borrowed some of Noels words there 😉
As soon as they became multi millionaires they didn't give a toss about the working class. Like every drug addicted celebrity assholes they quickly forgot their roots. Their music is phenomenal. As human beings they are appalling role models
This is definetely my favorite Oasis song of all time! Been listening to this song for years and never get bored of it.. Wonderful tunes! Thank you so much Oasis!

@2:58 is where I got jumped and beat up by a gang from a rival school when walking home from school. It was around the time this video was made. The areas been redeveloped now, so watching this video reminds me and gives me chills. I love the song, I just find watching the video a bit traumatic.
Great song. I actually, retrospectively, admire how they just totally produced this in the most rustic way possible. No polish. Not giving a crap. Best band in the world? Who cares. Let's release it as if we're playing it in our garage.
An excellent music vid about turmoil and heartbreak, as well as a clever subversion of expectations since at first you assume that people are attacking each other in the streets and running away from the police, but are actually trying to save others from an insane biker. Also the song is brilliant and memorable too, it's Oasis after all ;).
Glad that someone recognises the vid for the piece of art that it is. I can take or leave the song, but the video has been one of my favourite things for 25 years now
I love the song, but the video itself is a masterpiece. As journalist, I can tell that this is a perfect example of what journalism is. You can tell different stories with the same data. Depends of what you wanna say, you choose the order of the information and what people could understand.
Yeah im glad its reintroduced this song to more of the british public. The last 3 years , its pretty much gone from being one of their forgotten hits to fairly iconic.
Good for you! You have good music sensibilities. :-) I was born in the '80s but, alas, I only remember experiencing '90s and 2000s-onward music while I was growing up. Still, I learned about a lot of the '80s music from a TV show named TOTP2 (a music archive show) that used to be aired on BBC2. I love Depeche Mode, New Order, Adam&The Ants, The Smiths, The Cure, The Eurthymics, Wham! and Erasure.

I dont know why but this may be objectively the best oasis song... There are of other good songs, but this one is has what all those other songs have and its massively popular. Liam and noel singing together - check brass - check strings -check pretty much original line up - check good lyrics - check sounds good acoustic - check dunno just putting out there
there's too much going on in this song too many guitars at once, too much buzz. that's oasis of 1997 when they were coked up 24/7 and noel was on his own mixing the tracks
My own personal Oasis favourite song. Dont expect an Oasis return people, if by some miracle they do get back....dont expect this sound, Liam's voice is down to 65 percent, trust me, let Oasis go the way of ABBA.
Jordan Jamison you never know. The original Guns n Roses line up for together for a major tour this year. Meaning Axl Rose, Slash, Duff McKeggan, minus Izzy Stadler and Steven Adler made a few appearances to drum for a few songs... Never thought the others would ever get over Axl's shit and all the crap he put the band through.. They Gallagher brothers may surprise us.
Even now...Noel can still hit his notes.....Liam Cant!!. It looks like they may come back.......the die hard fans will pay for the tickets.....the true fans like myself wont. I saw them in 1997 in Stirling Scotland, i've followed their separate careers.....they will NEVER reach this level of perfection again. They will get more millions...the TRUE fans will be gutted. I truly hope i'm wrong.
I cant believe we are gonna see them together reuinited finally next year. Very fortunate to witness this historical moment. It's gonna be amazing. See you in a year in London

I was too cool to like these guys back in the day. What a prat. This is a truly great song. One of many great Oasis tunes.

You shouldn’t 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
The *70's* was when it was happening dude, officially *THE* greatest era in music history. *Bowie* was on fire in this era & probably influenced every band since & even *Noel* on this with that driving 4 chord chorus. ua-cam.com/video/Rajof9Qigos/v-deo.html

Don’t know why Noel always tears this to shreds in commentaries/interviews. Its a tune and sounds great, one of the songs where the distorted, overblown ‘Be Here Now’ sound really fits.
You are right man
This is a classic tune, this is THE song of the 90's, my favourite song. BHN is a fucking great album every track on it is awesome
I don't know why people is always bashing on it
Noel is quite ashamed of Be Here Now because drugs ran too much during production. Once he said "too much white dust on the soundboard".
I feel you man
Yeah. Don't Look Back.. did that for me.
Now look up the song "All The Young Dudes" by Mott The Hoople and weep, as you realise that this "masterpiece" is a completely unoriginal rip off because they ran out of Beatles chord progressions to steal. Oasis didn't make any good albums after Morning Glory.
Who’s excited 😭😭😭
Who wouldn't be?
THEYRE BACKKK
Ive just done a sexwee.

I am crying of happiness!
“Before my heart starts to burn” is one of the best sung lines I’ve ever heard in any song
"Don't look back in anger"
Liam gallagher's voice style
ua-cam.com/video/v4rkobmSh-M/v-deo.html
Heart disease, comes from giving a shit too much
The song was written when Noel got sick from food poisoning. Humans, puking and wining, Noel rights one of the best songs I've ever heard.
As someone with heartburn I feel this, literally
Their classics get unbelievably better every time I hear them . Liam was and is untouchable as a front man
To this day nobody still knows the way its going to be and that speaks volumes to this song.
?
Juli 2024
Still oasis...pasti ada yg di inget kalo denger lagu ini...☺️
Very smart that they played a riff which doesn't really go with the progression of the chords after the words 'nobody knows the way it's going to be'. It's unexpected. Brilliant.
well pointed out )
lol, so true. It's like copping out in the most creative way possible, which is paradoxical in a way xD
it's not smart at all? it's a rip off from many, many songs, all the young dudes by Mott the hoople for example. oasis weren't musical geniuses that's for sure, but they certainly knew how to write hits
Its just a 3/4 bar , its not that unusual for them or anything. But they made it fit into the song so well you barely notice anything.
Sublime! I wish these guy's would sort out their issues, they would dominate the world. Incredible songs and talent.
That's family for you mate, 👍
Tragic waste of genius by not performing together again
@@jamesrooney81 No it isn't. It's what happens when your dad beats you up almost every day and Liam gets hit on the head so hard with a hammer when he's a schoolkid that he loses consciousness and has to be taken to hospital. That attack has got to have done some brain damage. And those beatings won't have helped them any.
High flying birds . Near as.
GET BACK TOGETHER
i love how authentic oasis is. somehow i always find myself in them their music is too personal yet very nostalgic to me it means so much to me it reminds of better times
we made it guys! they are back!
0:31 [Verse 1]
Made a meal and threw it up on Sunday
I've got a lot of things to learn
Said I would and I'll be leaving one day
Before my heart starts to burn
0:53 [Bridge]
So what's the matter with you?
Sing me something new
Don't you know the cold and wind and rain don't know
They only seem to come and go away
1:16 [Verse 2]
Times are hard when things have got no meaning
I've found a key upon the floor
Maybe you and I will not believe in
The things we find behind the door
1:38 [Bridge]
So what's the matter with you?
Sing me something new
Don't you know the cold and wind and rain don't know
They only seem to come and go away
2:02 [Chorus]
Stand by me, nobody knows the way it's gonna be
Stand by me, nobody knows the way it's gonna be
Stand by me, nobody knows the way it's gonna be
Stand by me, nobody knows
Yeah, nobody knows, the way it's gonna be
2:56 [Verse 3]
If you're leaving will you take me with you?
I'm tired of talking on my phone
There is one thing I can never give you
My heart will never be your home
3:18 [Bridge]
So what's the matter with you?
Sing me something new
Don't you know the cold and wind and rain don't know
They only seem to come and go away
3:41 [Chorus 1]
Stand by me, nobody knows the way it's gonna be
Stand by me, nobody knows the way it's gonna be
Stand by me, nobody knows the way it's gonna be
Stand by me, nobody knows
Yeah, nobody knows, the way it's gonna be
4:33 [Bridge 2]
The way it's gonna be, yeah
Maybe I can see, yeah
Don't you know the cold and wind and rain don't know
They only seem to come and go away (hey, hey)
4:58 [Chorus 2]
Stand by me, nobody knows the way it's gonna be
Stand by me, nobody knows the way it's gonna be
Stand by me, nobody knows the way it's gonna be
Stand by me, nobody knows
Yeah, God only knows, the way it's gonna be

I was born in 1996 and I only heard this recently . I lost my grandad last year and it makes me think of him. Oasis forever. Xx
Sorry to hear that , hope you find some enjoyment hearing this tune , wish you well
@@Ash1983. thank you so much.
Sorry to hear about your grandad, @nat .The 90s were a freaking awesome era, Oasis Don't Look Back In Anger was the first album I ever bought aged 13. The joy of music is that forever now this song will make you think of him.. I'm almost 40 now, but when I hear Oasis, in taken straight back to my early teens.
Bummer eh, 70s kid me, I saw them twice, don't care about them anymore but they were the shizz back in the day.
@@joshsheff7189 thanks so much. I love Oasis so much. Every album has a different vibe. I collect alot of the merchandise aswell. Its not just another band. Its so special. X
Thanks Halifax advert for reminding me of this amazing song.
That's wot I thought too 😂
Yup, brilliant group sadly not together now.
Wonder wall got to be another one of my favourite songs. 👍
That’s why I’m here 🤣hehehe
Kids today don't even know! 🙈
Thats why we are here
Oasis is amazing it’s literally opening my third eye. It’s great levelling your human consciousness
One of their best songs. I play it over and over again. '97, the good times before it went ugly.
I''m breaking down in tears, cause i miss my best friend from the past. We both loved Oasis, but we split apart like the Gallaghers. It's hard to endure. We were friends for more than 12 years but people change... I miss you my good friend.
Blister Monde You should try reaching him again :)
definitely reach out again... reuniting with friends is the best
Even the Gallagher's are back together. Reach your friend out. I hope you two still can make it these friendship bloom. Good luck!
Oasis were probably the last of the truly great bands for the working class, when there still was a proper working class, in what you could call the "old world", pre millenium.
Sadly I don't think I'll see the like of Oasis again in my life (or at least they won't be as massive) but at least we have the tunes and memories ect
You 🏹
I grew up with oasis and hated take that so very much x
I love how it shows the people aren’t actually doing bad stuff at the end and they were actually saving people
This is definetely my favorite Oasis song of all time! Been listening to this song for years and never get bored of it.. Wonderful tunes! Thank you so much Oasis!
My dad passed away yesterday and now I'm making a playlist with all the songs he loved and I remember him by. This is one of them. Thank you dad for showing me the greatest artists of all times. Loved, missed and never forgotten 🤘🔥❤🙏

True even I was born at 1999, I'm so glad that I'm a one part of 90's

I love the story so far, started listening to Oasis because this is parker cannons favorite band. I am now hooked.
@2:58 is where I got jumped and beat up by a gang from a rival school when walking home from school. It was around the time this video was made.
The areas been redeveloped now, so watching this video reminds me and gives me chills. I love the song, I just find watching the video a bit traumatic.
It was so good being a teenager in the 90s we never knew how lucky we had it musically.
u're undoubtedly right
Great song. I actually, retrospectively, admire how they just totally produced this in the most rustic way possible. No polish. Not giving a crap. Best band in the world? Who cares. Let's release it as if we're playing it in our garage.
I very agree with you. well said!
Yes they’re back, really hope i can secure tickets.
A musica quando é boa nunca envelhece #foda
Verdade!
Falou tudo cara!!!
ouço todo dia ... no carro , no pc ... no celular FODA
Verdade, hoje em dia não se produzem mais músicas como as "velhas".
Beautiful music never ages.
An excellent music vid about turmoil and heartbreak, as well as a clever subversion of expectations since at first you assume that people are attacking each other in the streets and running away from the police, but are actually trying to save others from an insane biker. Also the song is brilliant and memorable too, it's Oasis after all ;).
Another brilliant song written by Noel. I'm madly in love with him now!
Glad that someone recognises the vid for the piece of art that it is. I can take or leave the song, but the video has been one of my favourite things for 25 years now
OASIS forever
To think that the genius that is Oasis was there, kipping in the same room, in a house in Manchester, arguing over the stereo 😂❤❤❤❤
I love the song, but the video itself is a masterpiece. As journalist, I can tell that this is a perfect example of what journalism is. You can tell different stories with the same data. Depends of what you wanna say, you choose the order of the information and what people could understand.
Manuel Catrilef Cea I’m trying to figure it out
Yes we know journalists manipulate information to suit their narratives
:)
So depressing man to realize 90's are so far away 😞, I feel I'm no longer belong to this modern world 💔

Yeah im glad its reintroduced this song to more of the british public. The last 3 years , its pretty much gone from being one of their forgotten hits to fairly iconic.
Im just an 07 kid who loves Oasis. Wish I was born in the 80s to experience the 80s and 90s
They should get back together the pair of twats enough of the arguing they should grow up and please the fans !!!!!
To truly appreciate the 80's you'd need to have been born in the 60's.
@@jasmith17561 yes I literally feel like an indigo child and I wish I was born in the 60s now. As I look more into the 70s era I wish I couldve also experienced the 70s

dunno just putting out there
agree with u
there's too much going on in this song too many guitars at once, too much buzz. that's oasis of 1997 when they were coked up 24/7 and noel was on his own mixing the tracks
the guitars are amazing, its massive, total wall of sound
PeterZeeke some might say...what a rocker
There's this by the pool version, much cleaner and an amazing version of their own song. Go take a listen to it.
My own personal Oasis favourite song. Dont expect an Oasis return people, if by some miracle they do get back....dont expect this sound, Liam's voice is down to 65 percent, trust me, let Oasis go the way of ABBA.
Ain't that the truth. Seems like I'm the only Oasis fan that really would not want them to come back together because it just wouldn't be the same.
Sometimes, what's already over, just let it be. Forcing it to back only worse the things and good memories
I love Oasis but the Gallagher brothers can't stand each other, and their last two albums were very bad. I don't think they'll ever reunite the band.
Times are hard when things have got no meaning
What a beautiful lyric
So relative for today with the lockdown 😂
Noel writes some great stuff, he really does.
