I always get confused between Noel & Liam. They both sound the same. Who’s singing this 1? Is that Noel?
They also can look alike depending on glasses/cloths they where. I Think Liam is the official Lead singer? But, Noel can sing the songs just as good. I heard him on Howard stern. After they split. Couldn’t tell the difference. Loved them when they come out, but they weren’t around long enough for me to really get to know each of them. Unlike say, GnR’s. I know everything about every member. Read all the books etc etc. so if you could help me out, it bothered me for a while. Then I forgot about them & now after hearing this, which was always my favorite. I’m back to it bothering me.

@@serendavies7375 I don't know, it's only a guess: maybe this song has more, deeper layers. Maybe it's referring to all the very bad things that have happened in ww2 (1939-1945), especially the murder of 6 million Jewish people. Flag of United Kingdom (England+Scotland+Wales+Northern Ireland) at 0:10, 4:15-4:18. Strange the singer is wearing a sports jacket almost all the time, with the colours black, red, yellow, it makes you think of the flag of Germany, the opponent in ww2. Coincidence or done with purpose? Below the black, red and yellow, a neutral colour, a white stripe. Magnifying glass, like Sherlock Holmes. Patrick McNee in this videoclip too, the actor playing in the British TV-series 'The Avengers' (1961-1969) and in 'The New Avengers' (1976-1977). What do you think of it? Has this song a deeper layer, and if so, what is he trying to say to us?

Yup. Grenfell was an **accident** (albeit one caused by gov incompetence & obsession with CO2-saving flammable cladding) but Manchester was intentional mass murder. The Grenfell accident has been endlessly picked over but not one question has been asked about the ideology behind the Manchester bombing and its growth in the UK.

    0:12 [Verse 1]
Slip inside the eye of your mind
Don't you know you might find
    A better place to play?
You said that you'd never been
But all the things that you've seen
    Slowly fade away
    0:36 [Pre-Chorus]
So I start a revolution from my bed
'Cause you said the brains I had went to my head
    Step outside, summertime's in bloom
    Stand up beside the fireplace
Take that look from off your face
You ain't ever gonna burn my heart out
    1:10 [Chorus]
    And so, Sally can wait
She knows it's too late as we're walking on by
    Her soul slides away
But don't look back in anger, I heard you say
    1:43 [Verse 2]
Take me to the place where you go
Where nobody knows if it's night or day
Please don't put your life in the hands
Of a rock 'n' roll band
    Who'll throw it all away
    2:06 [Pre-Chorus]
I'm gonna start a revolution from my bed
'Cause you said the brains I had went to my head
Step outside, 'cause summertime's in bloom
    Stand up beside the fireplace
Take that look from off your face
'Cause you ain't ever gonna burn my heart out
    2:41 [Chorus]
    And so, Sally can wait
She knows it's too late as she's walking on by
    My soul slides away
But don't look back in anger, I heard you say
    3:05 [Guitar Solo]
    3:40 [Chorus]
    So, Sally can wait
She knows it's too late as we're walking on by
    Her soul slides away
But don't look back in anger, I heard you say
    4:03 [Outro]
    So, Sally can wait
She knows it's too late as she's walking on by
    My soul slides away
But don't look back in anger, don't look back in anger
    I heard you say
    At least not today

Barbie Reynolds What the hell are you talking about? Charts have absolutely nothing to do with my statement. I am not talking about the industry, but music as an art form. With every good song in a generation, there is a bad one. I'm sure you can agree with me on that... I am not talking about popularity either. I am merely talking about the quality of music as art. You could argue there were more popular songs that were good than in another, but in the end it is all speculation and preference.

First night we went into a random bar (there where doorman but luckily they let us through) and the place was packed. Everywhere people from different walks of life and cultural backrounds drinking, dancing and singing together (as a german im more used to a certain distance in bars). Before the bar closed this song came on. Everyone and I mean everyone just sung full volume threw their arms around each other and moved to the rythm. We knew nobody there but we got instantly incorporated into the whole spectacle. Gotta say u Brits are nice and all but u can be awesome when drunk.

    Will slowly fade away
So I start a revolution from my bed
'Cause you said the brains I had went to my head.
    Step outside, summertime's in bloom
    Stand up beside the fireplace
Take that look from off your face
You ain't ever gonna burn my heart out
And so Sally can wait, she knows it's too late as we're walking on by
Her soul slides away, but don't look back in anger I heard you say
Take me to the place where you go
Where nobody knows if it's night or day
But please don't put your life in the hands
Of a Rock n Roll band
    Who'll throw it all away
I'm gonna start a revolution from my bed
'Cause you said the brains I had went to my head
Step outside 'cause summertime's in bloom
    Stand up beside the fireplace
Take that look from off your face
'Cause you ain't ever gonna burn my heart out
So Sally can wait, she knows it's too late as she's walking on by
My soul slides away, but don't look back in anger I heard you say

She knows it's too late as she's walking on by

But don't look back in anger

This song saved my life a couple of times when I looked in anger myself ...
You cannot make up for the mistakes in your own life ...
As well as the clumsy shit you get yourself into ...
But you may as well reflect and don't look back in anger ...
If you sought to protect yourself from harms way ...
But did some things that were not exactly in someone his best interest ...
Well then it may happen people look in anger towards you ...
I hope they will rely and relate the waste of themselves one day ...
In reflection towards the other it is better to wait instead of getting angry ...
Sometimes sorry ain't enough anymore because of all the shit you put people through ...
A magnifying glass explains it all were we beat ourselves over and over again for the things we encounter ...
In what we hold towards each other mirrors our own grudges towards others ...
In what we don't see as family just remember that we are all equal as people ...
We all make mistakes don't look back in anger I heard your voice say ...
Thank you very much Oasis well spoken song with a good message ...

    "Don't Look Back In Anger"
    Lyrics
Slip inside the eye of your mind
Don't you know you might find
    A better place to play
You said that you'd never been
But all the things that you've seen
    Will slowly fade away
So I'll start a revolution from my bed
'Cause you said the brains I had went to my head
    Step outside, summertime's in bloom
    Stand up beside the fireplace
Take that look from off your face
You ain't ever gonna burn my heart out
And so Sally can wait, she knows it's too late as we're walking on by
Her soul slides away, "But don't look back in anger," I heard you say
Take me to the place where you go
Where nobody knows if it's night or day
Please don't put your life in the hands
Of a Rock 'n' Roll band
    Who'll throw it all away
I'm gonna start a revolution from my bed
'Cause you said the brains I had went to my head
Step outside 'cause summertime's in bloom
Stand up beside the fireplace, take that look from off your face
'Cause you ain't ever gonna burn my heart out
    And so Sally can wait
She knows it's too late as she's walking on by
    My soul slides away
"But don't look back in anger," I heard you say
    So Sally can wait
She knows it's too late as we're walking on by
    Her soul slides away
"But don't look back in anger," I heard you say
    So Sally can wait
She knows it's too late as she's walking on by
    My soul slides away
"But don't look back in anger, don't look back in anger."

Oasis - Don't Look Back In Anger:
Slip inside the eye of your mind
Don't you know you might find
    A better place to play
You said that you'd never been
But all the things that you've seen
    Will slowly fade away
So I start a revolution from my bed
'Cos you said the brains I had went to my head.
    Step outside, summertime's in bloom
    Stand up beside the fireplace
Take that look from off your face
You ain't ever gonna burn my heart out
And so Sally can wait, she knows it's too late as we're walking on by
Her soul slides away, but don't look back in anger I heard you say
Take me to the place where you go
Where nobody knows if it's night or day
But please don't put your life in the hands
Of a Rock n Roll band
    Who'll throw it all away
I'm gonna start a revolution from my bed
'Cos you said the brains I had went to my head
Step outside 'cos summertime's in bloom
    Stand up beside the fireplace
Take that look from off your face
'Cos you ain't ever gonna burn my heart out
So Sally can wait, she knows it's too late as she's walking on by
My soul slides away, but don't look back in anger I heard you say
So Sally can wait, she knows it's too late as we're walking on by
Her soul slides away, but don't look back in anger I heard you say
    So Sally can wait
She as she's walking on by
    My soul slides awayn
But don't look back in anger
    Don't look back in anger
    I heard you say
    At least not today?
