***** Nah man, there is no peak in music. There are good songs in every generation, as there is bad ones. Although, you are entitled to your opinion, as I am. I just wanted to add my perspective, feel free to throw your opinions back at me! ;)
***** there are peaks you anus. look at the goddamned charts. there are trends in music. some songs transcend a generation or genre and have wide appeal and resonate in future decades for sure but bands do peak in popularity so quit fucking acting like they don't
Barbie Reynolds What the hell are you talking about? Charts have absolutely nothing to do with my statement. I am not talking about the industry, but music as an art form. With every good song in a generation, there is a bad one. I'm sure you can agree with me on that... I am not talking about popularity either. I am merely talking about the quality of music as art. You could argue there were more popular songs that were good than in another, but in the end it is all speculation and preference.
Finally found the song. Last month me and 2 friends flew from Germany to London for a 3 day stay. First night we went into a random bar (there where doorman but luckily they let us through) and the place was packed. Everywhere people from different walks of life and cultural backrounds drinking, dancing and singing together (as a german im more used to a certain distance in bars). Before the bar closed this song came on. Everyone and I mean everyone just sung full volume threw their arms around each other and moved to the rythm. We knew nobody there but we got instantly incorporated into the whole spectacle. Gotta say u Brits are nice and all but u can be awesome when drunk.

This song saved my life a couple of times when I looked in anger myself ... You cannot make up for the mistakes in your own life ... As well as the clumsy shit you get yourself into ... But you may as well reflect and don't look back in anger ... If you sought to protect yourself from harms way ... But did some things that were not exactly in someone his best interest ... Well then it may happen people look in anger towards you ... I hope they will rely and relate the waste of themselves one day ... In reflection towards the other it is better to wait instead of getting angry ... Sometimes sorry ain't enough anymore because of all the shit you put people through ... A magnifying glass explains it all were we beat ourselves over and over again for the things we encounter ... In what we hold towards each other mirrors our own grudges towards others ... In what we don't see as family just remember that we are all equal as people ... We all make mistakes don't look back in anger I heard your voice say ... Thank you very much Oasis well spoken song with a good message ...

one of my all time favorite songs. This came at a time when music was at it's peak IMO
Absolutely
***** Nah man, there is no peak in music. There are good songs in every generation, as there is bad ones. Although, you are entitled to your opinion, as I am. I just wanted to add my perspective, feel free to throw your opinions back at me! ;)
***** I would say that genres can have peaks, but I would agree with the sentiment that music has no peaks.
The iconic voices of some rock bands are just... unforgettable.

Thank you for that, glad you had a nice time! I have a lot of love & respect for our German cousins too!

THE Paul Weller has said this!
Lyrics:
Slip inside the eye of your mind
Don't you know you might find
A better place to play
You said that you'd never been
But all the things that you've seen
Will slowly fade away
So I start a revolution from my bed
'Cause you said the brains I had went to my head.
Step outside, summertime's in bloom
Stand up beside the fireplace
Take that look from off your face
You ain't ever gonna burn my heart out
And so Sally can wait, she knows it's too late as we're walking on by
Her soul slides away, but don't look back in anger I heard you say
Take me to the place where you go
Where nobody knows if it's night or day
But please don't put your life in the hands
Of a Rock n Roll band
Who'll throw it all away
I'm gonna start a revolution from my bed
'Cause you said the brains I had went to my head
Step outside 'cause summertime's in bloom
Stand up beside the fireplace
Take that look from off your face
'Cause you ain't ever gonna burn my heart out
So Sally can wait, she knows it's too late as she's walking on by
My soul slides away, but don't look back in anger I heard you say
So Sally can wait, she knows it's too late as we're walking on by
Her soul slides away, but don't look back in anger I heard you say
