"I'm sorry I was forced to move away from you all...that was all her."
Wow. For a guy who constantly talks about how much he worships his wife, he sure doesn't hesitate to play martyr and throw her under the bus at literally every imaginable turn now that she can't speak for herself!

To anyone who researched these murders at The Day, did anyone from the family or friends of Tony and Megan Todt ever describe the controlling behavior that Tony alleges Megan exerted over him? If she were so overbearing that he would commit and cover-up crimes on her command, obey her to the point of not seeking medical treatment for himself, not paying bills, not contacting anyone outside the home, surely this behavior would have been noted by others. It would have manifested itself in everything they did.
Also, did the children say anything to friends or at friends' homes? Ever say that mommy is mean, yells, yells at dad, won't let someone do something they want to do, makes them do housework, punishes them, etc . . .
EDIT: He had to stop multiple "attempts," but he never called authorities for help, never took the kids and left. Why? Because Megan was too strongwilled? He didn't have permission? Gimme a break.

    • @maneckineckbeard1749
      @maneckineckbeard1749 2 роки тому +7

So true! Everything I've heard her friends & neighbors say about her was that she was a lovely woman...although admittedly, people can be different behind closed doors. But still, as you said, where he really stretches the limits of what's believable is when he claims that he *knew* she was planning to kill their children, but he didn't seek help because Megan "wouldn't give him permission."
Sorry, but I just don't buy that story. Even the most horrifically abused spouses will almost always seek help or take actions when their abuser threatens their children; people who will put up with unimaginable abuse of themselves will risk their own lives to save their kids. But this big, grown-ass man claims that a sick, weak 90lb woman somehow prevented him from saving their childrens' lives by refusing to "give him permission??"

The babysitter? Probably Tony took those rings and let the babysitter be blamed, this gets rid of sitter. Breaks Megan's trust of her sitter/ helper. Perhaps savior / witness . The police get a report on that? The police should check that out he probably set that up and deprived Meg . lBy limiting her outside help , got secreted cash and more dependence on him. Creating more isolation which is a common abusive device and emotionally abusive but also effectively cut off a contact to confide in for Meg, increasing her depression. I believe he would've felt superior getting away with that. Prempting the confidence and anger to do the crime. ALSO WERE RECORDS CHECKED TO SEE IF HE WAS POIISONING HER SLOWLY TO HOLD ON TO HER AND TRY TO SET HER UP AND UNDER HIS CONTROL.

Where did you find the long lost necklace????? Uh in her jewelry box.
How did he not find it himself? At first I thought it was a lie that's why but I think he really wanted that necklace so she would have her jewelry like the others.

I think he was a people pleaser as far as what everyone else would want him to be or act nothing else. The murderers always lie on the victims because the victims can't say. I know my sisters and kids so the family should know the bs

I was thinking the exact same thing. Thank you! It WAS distracting. I had to stop watching. Sounds like she downed a large glass of milk beforehand. Very smacky mouth sounds. I have heard worse, but this is pretty bad.

How about "a warning to our audience that this youtube contains a s-load of idiotic conjecture and a presupposed "he didn't do it. Toad didn't do anything wrong". Course this whole series was spawned before he was actually put on trial and found guilty. That won't probably matter much to the hacks producing this hot mess.
I do NOT want to see BS like this cancelled. Just as long as it can be called out for the load of CP it actually is.
There are similar offerings out there on the innocence of Scott Peterson, Chris Watts and Charles Manson. Knock yourselves out and whatever blows your skirts up.

Yea! These two need to pen pal each other and talk about writing a book on how controlling their wife where and how their wife’s killed the kids. What a joke that both guys are.

Chris Watts wife was super controlling and weird with her constant videos.
Nobody wants to live like that. Still no reason for murder.
But with this case, where do you get that Meghan was a controlling wife?

Not saying he's not guilty - think he is very complicit, however, a few questions I have: statistically, as a means of homicide, women are more likely to poison (children were reported poisoned - Benedryl toxicity) and Megan (wife) on her last actual voice conversation (with sister in law) said the end of the world was coming. This makes it hard for me to believe wife wasn't involved (much as I want to)

@Lori Baxter - it came out that Megan never said that… that was Tony, texting his sister from Megan’s phone after she was already dead. That “conversation” was by text, on 12/26. Megan was dead by 12/18.

Chris Watts tried to overdose his wife with opiates while she was pregnant. Men poison too.

    “Why was this perfect family…”
This is why people dislike the media - there’s NO such thing as perfect. This is a great podcast but that line in this episode ruined a lot it.
