Beautiful automobile. I was at the dealer ready to sign the lease for a 2024 GV80. I noticed a noise and vibration coming from the rear end. The dealer agreed and we made an appointment for the following day to complete the lease. I decided to check out what owners were experiencing on an owners forum, not a forum sponsored by Genesis. I canceled the order. I highly recommend that anyone thinking about leasing/buying this car, log on to an owners forum.

Hi Charles Your friend's experience with Genesis dealers was one of the complaints I read on an owner's forum. Some owners complained about unfilled promises from Genesis Corporate. One said his GV80, in three months of ownership, spent more time at the dealer than he was able to drive it. I'm sure in time Genesis will get their act together. Unfortunately, some owners will experience unreasonable downtime.

@@ScenicD I agree with you. My thoughts, the vibration was a wheel balance issue which is easily corrected. I have the 2022 model and I love it. Truly a well built suv which is pure luxury and feel very safe when driving it. Now I know why tiger woods survived a rollover in this vehicle.
Yup, I had to stop to think for a second before realizing that you were referring to the fact the GV80 offers more than Japanese brands, but you started the sentence with "when it comes to Japanese", right after talking about the GLE which is a main reason why it was confusing
Its wild that Genesis for the money can put out an interior with high quality materials and top notch builf quality and Lexus instead uses fake leather, plastic everywhere and fake metal trim and its supposed to compete with this
Because genesis knows better than Lexus. They know what true luxury means. They have much better R&D than Lexus could ever have Lexus as a brand is dying. They’re no longer relevant. Tbh the less said about Lexus the better.
I think that's because Lexus has established brand equity and can afford to cut costs because they no longer have as much to prove. It's a shame to think that way but companies get greedy
😂😂😂 what are u even talking about?... every luxury manufacturer damn near use the same materials...just because a piece is finished on brushed aluminum doesn't mean it's metal.. yea cars like bentley and RR use more actual metal but also use alot of plastic as well...actually..show me where the 2024 porsche 911 looks like it has no plastic on the interior. I can wait.
That interior is incredible! Lyn's colour coordination just made it look even better, lol. But that gear selector is a big "No" for me. Agree with Lyn that it's far too easy to confuse with the infotainment controller.
Forgot to mention the Land Rover Range Rover sport and Cadillac xt6 and Land Rover Defender and Lexus gx and Lincoln aviator and Porsche Cayenne and Maserati Levante
She hates the one thing that differentiates this car from others... the big beautiful grill. It's the reason that drew me to this vehicle and ultimately to buy this exact car in video.
I wish Toyota/Lexus would make an effort to build interiors (and to some degree exteriors) that look this good. They also need to develop the separate dealer network like they said they were going to do several years ago. I am also still hearing references to reliability issues. Get those things worked out and I might sign up for one sometime down the road. One nit on the interior.....lose the backwards operating tach and the Buick Park Avenue steering wheel!!

I saw one of these cars this past weekend and it was so beautiful that I had to find a video on it. I am very happy with Hyundai products - I am on my second Santa Fe. It would be nice if this could be my next purchase... we'll see.
I love the look of this car and drove one a couple years ago. But the dealbreaker for me is that screen, which is out of reach of the driver. Having to fiddle around with the touchpad felt extremely awkward to me. I wound up with a Lincoln aviator And a touchscreen I can actually touch.
Really love what they're doing with their vehicles but I have to question reliability. I've known several people that have Hyundai's and kias and they have not had a good experience with any of them
The MB,BMW, Lexus, and Volvo competitors all offer PHEV powertrains. GV80 adding a PHEV powertrain would level up against the competition not set it apart.
