    Car Profile FAQ;
    - Why Maximum RPM and not Maximum Performance on the Fuel Test? This is because not everyone uses bumper so they can't see the rev range. They can however see the Bar and that's why we use that. It also gives you an indication at how good it is at saving fuel because when we go to shortshifting you can see the difference with saving fuel as well as the performance.
    - Why are you using Tyre Wear? This is because the official Balance of Performance is done using Fuel and Tyre wear so will be more accurate.
    - Why Optimum over Fastest Laps? Because it's easier to get 10 individual best sectors than to get 10 best laps. You could blitz a sector 3 1 lap and a sector 2 the next lap and combined they create the optimum lap and a better picture.
    - Why are you doing 10 laps? This is because after that I feel tyre wear and fuel becomes more impactful.
    - Why Racing Medium tyres? I use this tyre as it's the "Middle" tyre in racing compounds. I feel the cars should be MOST balanced on this tyre in my opinion
    - Why no RAIN Test? a Rain test would not give the full picture because light rain is different to medium and heavy and cars react differently in each of the variations. No test would be the same and so would not be very informative.
    - What does the number in brackets mean on the Fuel Tests? This is how much fuel was saved from the FM1 run. The bigger the number the more it saved.

    hey tidge, maybe to have another representation for fuel, you could show us the fuel used at the end of these 10 laps stints ? Just as the tyre test, some cars may use more in acceleration zones than at full speed so differences between low/mid/high bop tracks

      Hey Mate! It's a great suggestion, and the good news is I already log all of this information. It's something I will be putting on the website for detail, we just have to be careful with regards to spins etc.

    Tidge licking his lips thinking Audi - Manufacturers 😃lets go Tidge 😉
    Seems like now when trying to decide on a manufacturer it's not quite as easy as it seems based on a car being nerfed or Buffed given a "nerf" turns out to be a "buff" for some cars and conversely for "buff" to "nerf", ofc overall maybe best to just choose a car you like preferably out of the top 10 meta cars , this could get complicated if Gr4 was included in the Manufacturers though but unsure if there is Gr4, I thought there might be with the recent BOP!
    I'm interested to see where Genesis sits in all this with it's recent domination not so long ago, also the Nissan GT-R 18' and the Merc Evo !
    With having both BMW models in the Top 10 with little difference overall I guess you could count the Nissan GT-R 18' in P11 as a current top 10 meta !
    Cheers Tidge

    Hi Tidge, thanks for another wonderful video. When they adjust the BOP do they every change anything other than weight and power? I am wondering about things like CG and suspension. Thanks

      It's a good question, and something I can check as I record all settings of each test (I just don't show it in the video). But as far as I'm aware other settings do not change from some of the checks I've carried out in the past.

    Kinda sad to see how much Bathurst holds the Alfa back in your ranking. It would be top 10 or at least close in any other high speed BoP track.

    Are they (guys at Polyphony) not using SOPHY to tune these BOPs?

    I have to wonder at these changes. Total lap time can have little to do with racing. You can hang in there in a car but the acceleration is not so good and you are being overtook on straights.

    Hi Tidgney, I know this question is a bit off-topic but have you noticed any difference between using intermediate tyres and wet tyres in heavy wet conditions?
    The last physics update (1.31) changed how cars react to the aquaplaning effect and it seems like they completely removed it when going at high speed, making wet tyres completely useless in my opinion. I also did some testing myself and barely noticed any difference in times (wets tend to understeer more but can go over kerbs without any problem). I'd like to hear your opinion on this. 🙂

    • @nxgti3562
      @nxgti3562 Місяць тому

      This problem may also generate confusion to newer players in thinking they necessary have to switch from intermediate tires to wet when there is absolutely no advantage in doing so.

    • @bduddy55555
      @bduddy55555 Місяць тому

      Wet tires have been useless for a long time, I don't think anything has changed.

    • @nxgti3562
      @nxgti3562 Місяць тому

      @@bduddy55555 before the 1.31 with the intermediate tires you couldn't go above 180 km/h as you would start sliding all over the place, after 1.31 it isn't like that anymore as you can go over 500 km/h without any consequence

      I remember seeing a video someone did testing this. The video might be outdated by now but basically it narrowed it down to:
      If the meter is above the 2nd line (moisture meter is blue) the wets have a slight advantage over inters. Like a couple tenths. If its anywhere between the lines, inters have the similar advantage. Probably more than a few tenths over the wets depending on how dry the track is but the margin is fairly similar to wets on a very wet track.
      This might be where the video is outdated but wets could handle puddles better but only if it was very heavy rain. Otherwise the inters would handle it fairly similar.
      Obviously anything below the first line on the meter should use slicks.

    • @bduddy55555
      @bduddy55555 Місяць тому

      @@DJones1048 In my experience, even when the water meter is a bit above the 2nd line, the inters are still the best. This applies before and since the update. And the way the weather system works, it's very difficult for the meter to get much higher than that.

    So once again, the Alfa winds up getting nerfed. I am stunned. Oh wait...no I'm not. PD hasn't actually tried to even things out to the point the Alfa could be a good competitive car since I started playing GT Sport.
    BoP is a joke if the manufacturer isn't one of the big boys or a PD partner. Or Japanese.

    • @ArumesYT
