Really appreciating the longer content - fits really well with what I use UA-cam for nowadays, having longer stuff running to the side. Fits super well with the content too.
"There's many corners and many opportunities to send yourself into the shadow realm around this track" I have felt this a few too many times while driving around the Nürburgring

back in 2018 i ended up buying a ps4 and gt sport because i had watched all his videos and still needed my super gt fix :D now i'm probably gonna do the same with a ps5 haha
Usually it's the other way around, as the quality improves youtubers start uploading less. Except Super GT, he just keeps making them faster and faster 😂
this takes me back to playing GT4 on my PLAYSTATION 2 back in the day. Pure nostalgia! The Nurburgring was my favourite track. I spent many hours trying to improve my driving. when my father and I went to do a TOURISTENFAHRT on the green hell in real life when I was 14, I was able to give my father precise rally style co-driver call-outs because I knew it by heart. Spectacular track.
@@wazzlopiok240 I think most people should be able to get sub 8:40 once they fully memorize every corner and breaking point. It's just a matter of practise until 8:30. Beyond that, I think it takes talent and a really good sim racing setup

I'm seriously contemplating acquiring a PS5 solely for the joy of immersing myself in this game once more. Time trials are my particular passion. I recall a specific instance from a few years ago when I battled a single time trial on this very map using the M6GT3 for an entire week. And when I say a week, I'm not exaggerating - you cannot begin to comprehend the sheer dedication and determination I poured into conquering that trial. The amount of literal sweat, tears, and blood I sacrificed was immense. That period marked my debut experience with the wheel, adding another layer of challenge. Nevertheless I claimed the gold. The wave of elation I felt was indescribable - it was a moment of pure, unadulterated joy that left me breathless.
Nurburgring is the one course that always sends shivers up my spine no matter what game I'm playing. You either show it the respect it deserves or die of death
I really felt your frustrations throughout this video Steve! Watching your frustrations was like looking at myself in a mirror when doing this Time Trial. Been spending the past 4 days constantly going through this Time Trial, started with an 08:22 and eventually managed to do an 08:15.8 today to get a Gold and when I did that time I was honestly so happy with it that I didn't believe it at first. This Time Trial was definitely a true test of focus and endurance to get a whole lap together with minimal mistakes, hardest one I've taken part in for sure. Definitely nowhere near you or the other super fast drivers.
Watching these videos back to back, thoroughly entertaining. Having done lots of GT4 - GT6 in my 20s and early 30s, this brings back a ton of memories. That last lap was brilliant, it's truly hard to string together a full lap of this amazing track when you're going 10/10s.
Steve, you are one of my favorite UA-camrs. I'm so glad to see that your videos are being released more often. I just wanted you to know how much the fans of your channel appreciate your hard work.
At first i thought "oh, this looks like a supergt thumb" and then i clicked in the video and it was indeed supergt, i was so confused because of the new logo man 😂
I've been doing the Nordschleife on Gran Turismo 4 in the Mercedes-Benz CLK Touring Car and in the CLK-LM and I must say that SuperGT makes this track look easy.
I think you have to take into account, with a track this long and complex, ability and practice goes a long way but a lot of that top 100 would also have had a very lucky lap, where everything just turned out right. It may take some 1000 tries to get that perfect lap, but for some, they might just nail it on the 5th or even 3rd attempt. Of course you have to be good, but it's also something of a lottery.
Watched this video with full attention at your progression, precision, and perseverance. Car choice definitely makes a difference, but its also the lines and inputs you take to pull off that lap time. I'm excited to continue putting more laps at this track and experiment with different cars. Did I say I'm excited for driving around the Green Hell? Hell yes, I love the Nords in particular.
That was such a spectacular lap Steve! It really proves just how good of a driver you really are. That was very enjoyable to watch you string that many beautiful corners together in 8 minutes of epic driving. Cheers
FYI, Laurens Vanthoor held the lap record IRL for the N24 layout. An 8:09.1 set in 2018 So that Japanese player getting more than 5 second over the real lap record is just mind blowing xD
