Alex Albon is the goat for driving in f1 and maintaining a prolific UA-cam channel at the same time.
Time management 🐐
No race this weekend so he has plenty of time.
Thank god Imola got cancelled 💪🏻😁 Plenty of spare time for Alex
This guy is on F1 ?!!! I thought it was and youtuber (just came here to the comments after liking the video )
It is made easier by the fact that F1 steering wheels have nintendo switch on them.
"There's many corners and many opportunities to send yourself into the shadow realm around this track" I have felt this a few too many times while driving around the Nürburgring
Many corners? Seriously. I think every corner is a death defying act of courage to get through! Which is why my times are 9mins. 😂
No bravery.
The track itself is basically one extremely long "don't c*ck it up" session.
Either drive safely or drive recklessly enough to see yourself in an Auto Addiction compilation
@@WanderFeetChronicles props for you for trying it out 😂
@@acyds Ha! Cheers dude. 😱
Really appreciating the longer content - fits really well with what I use UA-cam for nowadays, having longer stuff running to the side. Fits super well with the content too.
its very good content for working haha.. it’s like an audiobook for racing
@@notkoreansgbro exactly. And he doesn’t scream he’s just chill and calm wich makes it easier to put it on as background noise
It’s great for me trying to ween off of my teenage three-minute meme compilation days, watching these nice, long, and focused vids
Great use for getting to sleep within 25-30 mins 😁😁
Thanks guys, appreciate the comments!
Man I remember 5 Years ago when SuperGT uploaded every few months and me and others had to binge old videos because we couldnt get enough. And now we get quality content daily, thank you so much Steve.
Fr 😂😂😂
I’m happy I found him when I did it’s so much to binge through if is ant
back in 2018 i ended up buying a ps4 and gt sport because i had watched all his videos and still needed my super gt fix :D now i'm probably gonna do the same with a ps5 haha
Usually it's the other way around, as the quality improves youtubers start uploading less. Except Super GT, he just keeps making them faster and faster 😂
Ah those days when I just watched his videos without thinking and some how this guy became a huge racing game youtuber after some years. Amazing
One of the pole times at the Nurburgring 24 today was a 8:09:058. Let’s see you beat it!
god thats a flyer
this takes me back to playing GT4 on my PLAYSTATION 2 back in the day. Pure nostalgia! The Nurburgring was my favourite track. I spent many hours trying to improve my driving. when my father and I went to do a TOURISTENFAHRT on the green hell in real life when I was 14, I was able to give my father precise rally style co-driver call-outs because I knew it by heart. Spectacular track.
Its comforting to know someone whos literally done hundreds of laps on this track still makes mistakes in those tricky sections. Makes me feel like less of a doofus
Tbf he did 200 laps on different game with different set of physics and different setup sure he have the knowledge of the track but he couldn't predict how car will behave especially there's new car being in the game as well
Nope u still suk
Okay I'm seeing a pattern with these daily uploads, loving it!
Almost flat 8 mins and 14 seconds on the second try is absolutely insane... You can tell he really knows the track
After doing 200 laps of it live, it'd be more of a shock if he didn't know it
I’m struggling to get sub 8:40. I’d be confident super gt could beat my gt3 record in a gt4 car..
Bro im amazed at how he knows the brake points. I thought he was the Goat then i saw others ahead of him by 10 seconds 😭😭😭
@@jeromemojica2375 lol exactly
@@wazzlopiok240 I think most people should be able to get sub 8:40 once they fully memorize every corner and breaking point. It's just a matter of practise until 8:30. Beyond that, I think it takes talent and a really good sim racing setup
What I like about this guy.he talks a lot of sense and he knows what he’s talking about.this is a track from hell.well done
Last lap was nuts. Thanks for the uncut footage.
New Logo looking clean! However, as an art student I would suggest adding a small GT below the 'S' just to balance out the star above the 'S', cheers mate!
I thought it was a rip-off channel
Looks Like the sun, like the newspaper
The S is way too big.
Too late, he is already wearing it on his merch
Or perhaps a cut out "GT" text in the middle of the "S"
I'm seriously contemplating acquiring a PS5 solely for the joy of immersing myself in this game once more. Time trials are my particular passion. I recall a specific instance from a few years ago when I battled a single time trial on this very map using the M6GT3 for an entire week. And when I say a week, I'm not exaggerating - you cannot begin to comprehend the sheer dedication and determination I poured into conquering that trial. The amount of literal sweat, tears, and blood I sacrificed was immense.
That period marked my debut experience with the wheel, adding another layer of challenge. Nevertheless I claimed the gold. The wave of elation I felt was indescribable - it was a moment of pure, unadulterated joy that left me breathless.
It's awesome in the psvr2
im just here wishing that the game will be emulatable in maybe 10 years lol
New logo whattt whatttt! Everything is popping off on the channel even the new editing style with the live commentary and voice over style is just great and the videos are longer everything is amazing being watching you for a while and you never disappoint us love you so much man!
Nurburgring is the one course that always sends shivers up my spine no matter what game I'm playing. You either show it the respect it deserves or die of death
“Die of death”☠️
You definitely don't want to die of death, that's the worst kind, but dying a deadly death of dead would probably be fine
You know what, you're the goat, not because you're ace at GT or because you're top in the world BUT you also use different cars to the top times in the world. You experiment you push and you put in the time. Always amazed at the content. It shows you don't always have to pick thr fastest car on the lraderboard
This man's first lap, with plenty of mistakes, was still 10 seconds better than the only lap i have managed to pull off without going off track😭😭
Yeah bc he’s using manual transmission if you let the game shift for you, you not gonna be anywhere near these guys
@@jevaunneheadley1704 i use manual. Im just bad😭😂.
Probably doesnt help that i decided to use the Citroen to do this with
@@ThatBluePit oh lol just keep participating on tracks
Keep at it, my friend 🙂
10 seconds is about 2 seconds on a normal length circuit. Nothing wrong with that
Amazingly qualifying just happened in the real ADAC Nurburgring 24. New record and it was also an 8:09! Great lap!
8:46 "We Held Our Own Monaco GP" flying through the chicane vibes.
If you know, you know.
Steve, thanks for making my shit week better with your daily content as of late. You’re awesome!
I think you have to take into account, with a track this long and complex, ability and practice goes a long way but a lot of that top 100 would also have had a very lucky lap, where everything just turned out right. It may take some 1000 tries to get that perfect lap, but for some, they might just nail it on the 5th or even 3rd attempt. Of course you have to be good, but it's also something of a lottery.
Makes sense
In my opinion (Iplayed this time trial a lot to get a perfect lap) it's 100% skill. It could be luck if conditions changed, but it's always the same.
6 seconds is more than luck..
I really felt your frustrations throughout this video Steve! Watching your frustrations was like looking at myself in a mirror when doing this Time Trial.
Been spending the past 4 days constantly going through this Time Trial, started with an 08:22 and eventually managed to do an 08:15.8 today to get a Gold and when I did that time I was honestly so happy with it that I didn't believe it at first.
This Time Trial was definitely a true test of focus and endurance to get a whole lap together with minimal mistakes, hardest one I've taken part in for sure. Definitely nowhere near you or the other super fast drivers.
Amazing concentration and tenacity there Steve, I am amazed the leader got an 8.03.486 nearly one second clear of 2nd place.
8:02.5 now... We racing against some aliens I swear 😂
Im loving how much your uploadign right now mate! Excellent work!
Hell of a run. I will never understand how there are SECONDS to be gained. That was pretty flawless
Supergt with consistent uploads. You love to see it
Those uploads are quicker than your unbelievable fast laptimes. Much appreciated, Steve!
Ghost in GT7 should be changed to be like in Dirt2 - as you get closer and closer to him, he becomes more and more transparent.
New logo had me checking the channel..
I walked around this track in '85 with a time of 3 hours 23 mins and 14 seconds. Happy days.
The way you show your struggles in great detail as well as your successes really helps put everything into perspective.
Legend.
Watching these videos back to back, thoroughly entertaining. Having done lots of GT4 - GT6 in my 20s and early 30s, this brings back a ton of memories. That last lap was brilliant, it's truly hard to string together a full lap of this amazing track when you're going 10/10s.
Really enjoyed this! And I can appreciate how much time went into this that got cut from the final video.
Watched this video with full attention at your progression, precision, and perseverance. Car choice definitely makes a difference, but its also the lines and inputs you take to pull off that lap time.
I'm excited to continue putting more laps at this track and experiment with different cars.
Did I say I'm excited for driving around the Green Hell? Hell yes, I love the Nords in particular.
30+ min of Super GT? HELL YEAH
Steve, you are one of my favorite UA-camrs. I'm so glad to see that your videos are being released more often. I just wanted you to know how much the fans of your channel appreciate your hard work.
2 laps in and already gold. The 200 laps trauma really made him OP on this track.
That was such a spectacular lap Steve! It really proves just how good of a driver you really are. That was very enjoyable to watch you string that many beautiful corners together in 8 minutes of epic driving. Cheers
Great job on that lap! Congrats 🎉
Btw, I love the new logo, simple and clean. Also, we got a look at the upcoming merch?! Nice one man!
Love your content, keep it up!!
That was a really good video, I really enjoyed that progression and that final lap was really nice. Keep this content coming!
being relatively new to GT7 this was my first time trial, and after what must have been 100s of laps i just managed to get an 8:20.0 in the RSR 😰
optimal says an 8:18 was possible and realistically theres probs another second on top of that but im amazed theres people going 15+ seconds faster than what felt like a nuts lap haha (idk if its something to do with me being on a pad not a wheel etc)
absolutely insane lap steve, nice work 🤙
Definitely pad, great time for a hard grind!
Best GT7 channel XD
Was dope to watch your improvements through the trial and with different cars. Really enjoying the content
We were asking for more time trialing sessions and this man went and did the toughest one. Smashed it too!
That moment where you say “what am I doing?!” I felt that 😂😂 glad I’m not the only one who has a word with myself
Nurburgring is a different beast. No one gets it right on the first go. Only way to do is a supreme level of focus. I once booted up PC2 for a quick run around with a new car, ended up doing it 22 times in a row just to get it right....three hours later....
My favorite thing about SuperGT is I can casually listen at work, and then go back and rewatch the laps at home because the dude is a beast!
i love that parallel commenting and face cam. especially the parts where you talk to yourself :D great content!
Man, the full nurbergring track has always been my favorite. Its tests your skill and precision. Its a very tight and fast track.
"Drive fast and don't crash, that's always valuable" -Super GT 2023
Damn what a lap. Congrats. As i said already your time trial videos are certainly the most satisfying to watch.
every time you string together a lap and finish off with the beat drop i get chills lol. cheers mr. albon
The power of touch one's nose and the magic happens :) !!!! Hard send bro on the last lap, good work, good stuff bro, keep-up the good work SGT, greetings from Normandy
Steve: tomorrow I’m going to chase 8:09.
Me rounding a lap in 8:23: 🎮➡️🗑️
Love the time trials. I get so discouraged running them myself, usually because I can't keep it on the track, but it's comforting to know even the best struggle and make mistakes. "Drive fast and don't crash" - SuperGT, 2023
I can’t believe the day has come where you changed the channel’s logo! End of an era. Congrats on the new brand!
Siiiiick new logo!!!
Hello Super GT, Viewers here.
That was some driving skills out there, congratulations on awesome lap time. Also great commentary, as ussual.😁
Thank you for not just going straight to the meta cars. It’s nice to see what less optimal cars can do.
Glad to see you still doin’ your thing, man.
Hey man, I use to watch you around 3-4 years ago everyday, glad to see you still uploading!
It's amazing how Nordschleife feels like a completely different track from FM7 to GT7. In Forza it's much narrower, bumpy and unpredictable. Your favourite section is completely different in Forza, even visually. So I have to use much shorter gears to have a balanced engine break (7 speed trans) otherwise the rear end will snap unpredictably. But it feels so damn good when you nail it, a very rewarding sensation.
steve, keep rolling the outro OST on every video or we riot.
SuperGT uploading like he’s just received a repair bill from Barry R.
I must admit that was beautiful to watch Steve , on that final lap. You’ve got serious talent
Keep the longer videos coming Steve we love em mate
It's nice to soo how much variety there is in the cars at top 50 on this track instead of just just Supras and Nismos. Such a difficult track that it's faster to go with whatever you feel comfortable driving instead of following the trends
Great lap Steve, interestingly at the final gantry split Steve was 0.9 secs behind digit gaming (M Mitika using the supra) but at the finish line Steve is 2.2 secs behind!? The supra must be massive on that final straight.
The Supra is easily one of the best cars for straight line speed which would explain that. The GTR is better in the corners but definitely gets killed on the straights.
Absolutely love the longer content, also the new channel logo is clean
Interesting new SuperGT logo. I really hope you reach 1M followers. You deserve it.
Really enjoy these time trial videos! Great driving :D
I don't know the first thing about sim-racing but its incredibly fun watching it happen, especially if its accompanied by your commentary. One little advice; I saw you do a brief summary of the world record timer in one of your recent videos, I honestly don't know how much it benefits you, if it does at all, it was a good experience to watch a breakdown of the rank 1 time. Maybe you could do that more often if you felt like it. Again, great video, great content. Must be really exhausting to create all the footage, put them together and add commentary on top of it.
I think I held my breath for the first 6 minutes of the last lap. Brilliance. Pure ball shriveling brilliance.
What a lap! Unbelievable! Absolutely loving the content recently, cheers Steve
"...drive fast and don't crush." -Super GT, 2023
*mind blown*
"We're edging closer but we do need to take off a couple of seconds yet."
- SuperGT
This was some of your best commentary ever!! Really fun to watch
Congrats on this lap, hell of a ride ;)
Also amazing GT devs are making this event right now for the irl 24h race.
it's weird how it looks like Forza he's playing not Gran Turismo 7; unless this is on the PS4?
"That's uh my one piece of advice, ALSO drive fast and don't crash, that's always valuable" 🤣🤣🤣 Love this man. 24:00
BABE WAKE UP SUPER GT POSTED
Your videos are better sleep pills than anything they got in pharmacies , i fall asleep 5 minutes in, keep up the good work! 😂😂
This is what I love about Nordschliefe, getting a good time is about just gettig THAT one clean lap, it's just about surviving the lap not improving over and over
Damn, Super GT switched on the grindset mentality with the videos occurrence. Keep up the good work!
Those 200 laps nonstop coming in handy, as much as i like the race videos these time chasing ones are a real good watch, great driving
With long tracks it is so important to get into a rythm where it just feels like you're on autopilot. Once you snap out of it you so quickly feel like bambi on ice and then you're just constantly overdoing everything.
This track is a test of anyone's patience because you have to attack and be on it, or else the car cannot perform. It's a constant battle with you and your brain where it's telling you this is gonna hurt, and you shouting: Shut up brain! 🙉
Great video! Really enjoying the uploads lately!
😂 we’ve all been there… the Nurb is one of those tracks you have to reset your mind every few sections to stay fast, risky, no risky, and straight up terrified! 😅
I'm still new to the game (got back into it last week) and I was stoked to get this under 9 minutes 😅
At first i thought "oh, this looks like a supergt thumb" and then i clicked in the video and it was indeed supergt, i was so confused because of the new logo man 😂
Thank you for the content, Steve. Always cheers me up.
Superb driving mate. Really a very enjoyable watch for someone who doesn't play racing games at all anymore.
Aww man nostalgia since GT6.
Hell since then.
It has never changed.
FYI, Laurens Vanthoor held the lap record IRL for the N24 layout. An 8:09.1 set in 2018
So that Japanese player getting more than 5 second over the real lap record is just mind blowing xD
Just in time for the 24h race this weekend.
Really amazing driving, though it's a bit frustrating to see someone being a lot faster than me on his first take while making 3 mistakes... oh well... 😂
I can't quite understand why I enjoy this so much, but I certainly do! Great work as always! Top 100 is amazing!
The fact that the #1 player is still 6 sec faster is absolutely insane.
Great to see longer videos. Keep it up Steve! ❤
Why was i so tense watching that final lap ? 😂😂 Well done lad, superb lap !
