    Hi Tony, firstly thanks for all the great videos - I’m a great fan. Secondly, can I ask where you sourced your canvas panniers from (on the Guzzi) - I’m struggling to source similar.
    Many thanks
    Adam

      Thanks Adam, they are Swedish army surplus bags, a bit of pot luck with what you can find in a surplus store

      Ps. How did you find the V7 compared with your Street Twin - both great bikes - do you have a favourite?

      Bit late for that I sold the bike 8 years ago!

      Both good for different reasons, the Guzzi has more character the Street Twin was nicer to ride

    I agree with your compments on Triumph performance wise except that 1 motoguzzi v7 has this big tank between your legs which makes it very secure and pleasant to ride. Maintenance free or almost, no chain no radiator,, and fore most NOT MADE IN THAILAND but in Italia!!!

    • @mancavemoto
      @mancavemoto  6 років тому

      Yep the tank is lovely. Not sure the Made in Thailand makes a difference? I've had plenty of 'dodgy' Italian electrics in the past ;)
      (I've owned a few Alfa Romeos!)

      Asians make perfect bikes that is not the issue, but that whole vintage british look is than just faked to me and pure marketing. Also I hate off shoring out of europe, f-k them. Not as ridiculous as the Enfield ones but still, the principle. But yes the T120 looks way more serious, untill you go off road a little or on a sandy beach road I guess, on which MG is overall everywhere at ease it seems (I am buying one this week and tested a couple of mg and t120).. PS did y
      ou have the abs?

    • @mancavemoto
      @mancavemoto  6 років тому

      Yes mine had ABS

    • @rayerscarpensael2300
      @rayerscarpensael2300 6 років тому

      Did you feel that as a big safety bonus? I never had a bike with abs, come from custom HD's. Just asking.

      I never had to use it 🤗

      +The Right Stuff Thanks for the kind words. Yep very quick and easy to change, one small Allen bolt and the muffler pulls straight out. 5 minute job max to get both out

      Hi Mathieu, it came from Down & Out motorcycles. They made a custom frame to fit an old army surplus ammunition bag....

    how do you compare the V7 with a Street Twin? in terms of handling, fun factor, maintenance wise.

    • @mancavemoto
      @mancavemoto  6 років тому

      ripmax333 the Street Twin is better in the first two respects for sure, although the v7 was fun. I sometimes miss the shaft drive when I’m lubing my chain 😉

    • @ripmax333
      @ripmax333 6 років тому

      well both are nice, it's tough to decide between the two, one thing that really i cannot fully accept on the classic triumph is those fake things that put on them, I am glad that at least on the street twin they got rid of the fake looking carbs but a bit of a disappointment that they are water cooled now although triumph says that it's actually 30% air cooling so they could make a very small radiator and the fins still have a purpose but i'm in doubt with that, but then again i'm no engineer in engine designing, still people say that they are fake.

    • @mancavemoto
      @mancavemoto  6 років тому

      Honestly,the watercooled vs aircooled thing is a bit overdone. The new engine is great, the rad is relatively unobtrusive. I thought it woudl bother me initally, but as soon as you get on the bike and ride, its no different

    What make are the bar end mirrors ? thanks

    • @mancavemoto
      @mancavemoto  8 років тому +1

      The mirrors themselves are CRG lane splitters, but they are fitted to custom machined bar ends. They can be bought from Corsa Italiana www.corsaitaliana.com/epages/yp3bcw66xzdr.mobile/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/yp3bcw66xzdr/Products/CI00000267

    The 2win shocks are from TEC? If so, which ones?

    • @mancavemoto
      @mancavemoto  7 років тому

      Gh. Dragos Yes, Tec ones, they are the basic adjustable gas shocks

    • @gnominattor

      Thank you! And now, the 1 million question :). Is it worth to pay extra 1500 euro to buy a ST instead a V7?

    • @mancavemoto
      @mancavemoto  7 років тому

      Gh. Dragos haha, now that IS a question! For me the jump from the first V7 to a Street Twin was worth it. Although the Moto Guzzi sounds great, the ST goes, stops and handles much much better. I can't compare it to the new V7iii though as I haven't ridden that. Triumphs are also much better supported here in the UK which helps. I loved my V7, loads of character, but I prefer to ride my ST. Does that help?

    • @gnominattor
      @gnominattor 7 років тому

      Yours was a V7ii with ABS?

    • @mancavemoto
      @mancavemoto  7 років тому

      Gh. Dragos No, mine was a 2013 V7, no ABS, higher footpegs, original engine layout in frame.
