  • One of the first things I wanted to do on my bike was get rid of the stock rear fender and replace it with a strip of LED lights. I found a kit in the US somewhere and installed it through a trial and error process. One of you viewers (thank you Michael) offered a better way of connecting the cables and so this video will show you how I did it and how you can do it faster. Please subscribe for more updates on my Moto Guzzi.

    VJ Bala: Great video for installing this fender eliminator!!! I own a V7 Racer and I want to get rid off of that big buffon fender it came with!!!!

      Thank you so much kind friend. Yup, getting rid of that fender was key. Next up for me is to replace the exhausts to get a slightly louder sound (more for safety than anything) as the sound of a stock Guzzi is a bit light.

    This tail is the easiest kit I’ve ever installed. It’s literally plug-n-play. I enjoyed the video. You can cut down your install time (and frustration) if you get yourself some metric open ended wrenches and ratchet tool kit. Watching you use a Vise Grip and pliers was painful… 😉

      @@VJBala One other question, do you still have room under the seat. My 2016 V7II Racer has a small 'area' under the seat for a few small tools, etc? Does the new eliminator sit close to the frame stopping crap from flying off wheels and onto under seat? Appreciate your comments or view on this item in general. Thank you.

    Great instructional video, but the K-Town bracket isn’t compatible with Ontario licence plates. How did you get yours to fit?

    • @VJBala
      @VJBala  4 роки тому +1

      Thank you for your kind words. So all I did was literally just drill a hole on the Ontario plate, where it should be for the second screw. You can even just use a nail and hammer a hole into the licence plate. Took a few minutes and worked like a charm. Hope this helps and happy/safe riding!

The question was asked before..but not answered: how about riding in the rain, is the whole back part of the bike now no longer protected from water (what does it do the parts that are otherwise protected by the fender, like electronics)? Hello friend. Definitely the stock fender is better for avoiding dirt, but this eliminator is not too bad. Mind you, I don't really ride much on too many dirt roads so on pavement it's like a total non-issue. I hope that helps and ride safe friend.

    VJ Bala: Hello again - out of curiosity why didn't you use the screws and nuts from the original (Moto Guzzi) fender to attach the K-Town fender to the frame of your Moto Guzzi, even though the K-Town fender came with a set of screws and nuts? I would appreciate your inside.

    It looks better but I still would go with bigger signal lights. "They are quite bright when dark outside". Well I don't know when you ride the most? But I've had too many surgeries because some dumb f*ck had not noticed me. So soon as I am back in the saddle, it won't be me when I am not noticed.

    That might be a silly question, but what did you use to attach the license plate to it? Did you experience any issues on the road, especially when you hit the bumps etc.? Looks super sleek! Eyeing the same kit for my V7 III Stone ;)

    • @VJBala
      @VJBala  5 років тому +2

      No such thing as a silly question my friend ... especially if it's regarding your bike :) The kit comes with a spot to attach your plate. I am in Ontario, Canada and the holes on the plate were a bit off, but I just drilled a small hole where needed and attached it to the part on the kit. No issues on the road at all (other than having to deal with compliments). :) Enjoy!

    • @VJBala
      @VJBala  5 років тому +1

      Hi there friend. I got my V7 from Corsa Meccanica. They are good to deal with but pretty bad at getting back to you for anything after-market or any modifications. But, to get the bike, they are great. The V7 III is so so reliable. I've had it now for two summers and albeit it is still new, but I've had no problems. The ONLY thing I would say (and that too I'm really being picky) is that sometimes it is hard to find the neutral gear when you're say at a red light or something but there is a way you can fix that (just needs to be done once every few months it seems). But otherwise, this is a great great greeeat bike! Ride safe friend!

    • @jx7230
      @jx7230 5 років тому

      @@VJBala Thanks for the information, I've heard the V7 III's are fairly reliable so your confirmation is nice to hear. Also is the issue with finding N have to do with adjusting the clutch cable?
      In terms of dealers, I'm deciding between Two Wheel Motorsport in Guelph and Corsa. Most likely going to get the Guzzi next riding season.
