I quit dairy for a while, and my exzema disappeared. So i realised that for me dairy was a readon for it and i switched to almond milk to control that. I not give up cheese but as long as i limit my dairy, the eczema is under control as well as acne. Dairy causes acne, at least for me. Stress is generally bad for my skin, i can break out in hives ascwell as eczema from stress.

I never had eczema my entire life until after I gave birth to my first child 2 years ago. I developed terrible postpartum eczema on my hands that got significantly worse after my second child was recently born. I would LOVE to hear more about this!!
The eczema is starting to travel up my arms, now; I have small spots going up my arms to my elbows and I'm desperate to make it go away!!
My fingers are so swollen/rough with elephant skin that I haven't been able to wear my wedding rings for months.
It really, really makes me sad.
Please tell me more about post partum eczema causes, or please tell me specifically what kind of doctor I should go to and what specific tests I should ask for. 🤦🏼‍♀️ I'm lost, please help me.

@kattwin1 I am the same, never had eczema in my life then suddenly “boom”, I got a rash on my arm, which traveled up both my arms and down my thighs. The only difference is I am peri-menopausal, why am I replying to you? because you might be reacting to a hormonal imbalance after giving birth and that may be your issue too. My rash got so bad I went to my GP as it was itchy and looked like hives or shingles (it wasn’t). I am now on the path of getting blood tests to check my hormone levels and I am also working with a Dr that specialises in menopause.
Maybe see your GP and ask for blood tests.

Sounds like intertrigo, it’s an eczema-like rash worsened by sweat. Worth getting some hypochlorous acid spray and seeing if it helps. Hope you feel better!

I think I may have a little bit of that rash and I use a solid antiperspirant for sensitive skin. I make sure I'm absolutely dry before the antiperspirant. Good luck!

Thaank you. My 6year old has had eczema since infancy. Thank God we were able to have her seen by a pediatric dermatologist and allergist/immunologist.
I felt like you were speaking to me: she has asthma, her IgE levels are high (although that doesnt mean shes necessarily allergic). But, shes allergic to soy, cows milk, peanuts, sesame, and tree nuts. They did a superficial test, and we requested for a blood test. This detected her allergies. She just started 1st grade, and its a constant stressor. We want her to live life and be cautious.
    Thank you, Dr. Dray!

Oh wow. I’m 65 and I can’t have cows milk but allergic to all nuts, fish and sesame, rye, and carroway seeds. Oh, I have asthma and pet, pollen, trees and grasses allergies. I guess I’m used to most of it, but it really stinks not being able to have a dog as I am an animal lover. I had a Guinea pig at one time and had trouble with his hay.

    Hey Doc!
What's your take on someone being recommended to wash their face 3-4 times a day with plain water (in addition to washing it with a Salicylic Acid cleaner in the morning and night) to control acne?
Wouldn't this make one's skin extremely dry?

Hi Dr. Dray!! u love your vids! i watch all the time! when i want to know something skin-related, i come find you first.
can you please do a video of different application techniques for applying seb derm tx's/and or creams.
you always mention routines/steps but then may get carried away talking about a product lol
like, my skin is crazy combination, and i can use a cream/lotion for a little while, but can't leave them for very long or i get really oily. even overnight can sometimes feel like too much moisture. and and/or opposite for actives
