      Sounds like Fallon knows he is really talking to William Campbell Shears, AKA Billy Shears, and making a sly joke about him doing a good impersonation of McCartney. It’s so obvious when you just look at the pix of PM through 1966, and the incoming BS from 1967. Right in plain sight. That said, BS is an amazing musician in his own right. It would just be great if he quit the charade....

    Jimmy is entertaining and I love his show, but interviews like this (not this particular clip, but his entire Paul interview for those that saw the whole thing) show us why he is not the best conversationalist. Whether it's President Obama or Paul McCartney, whenever there is a big time power guest he often comes across as trying too hard to show how much he loves them. He bumbles his words like an inarticulate high schooler, a floundering fish, and an excited puppy dog all at the same time. Still better than dry as the desert Seth Meyers though.

      He doesn't do his homework either. I love jimmy, which is why I criticize; he often times sound like he doesn't know what he's talking about, and says stuff like, " oh, I love you in blah blah blah" or " I really loved (insert song that I never heard) it was fantastic" when he so clearly has no idea what he's talking about. I'm sure there's a rehearsal before the show and he's got writers to help him come up with stuff to talk about.

    • @violeta585
      @violeta585 9 років тому +5

      seancolorado fyi Jimmy stutters in general, he said so himself at some point when talking about using cue cards for the monologue, they help him b/c he doesn't have to think of the jokes, of what is coming next...and during the interviews, sometimes you can see that his brain races, he's thinking of a lot of things at the same time and stutters while deciding what to actually say out loud...he'll probably calm down w/ time.

    • @violeta585
      @violeta585 9 років тому +3

      goober4502 To experience Jimmy's love for music, search this on YT:
      *''Fallon singing with Hall and Oates''* and over the years he has proven his extensive knowledge on numerous occasions. He's a musician too! You probably are not a fan of Jimmy's or have not been watching for long, otherwise you wouldn't doubt him saying that he knows a song...besides his family, comedy & music are his biggest loves, like obsessed! and he KNOWS THEM!
      He also knows TV & movies...but I guess he proves it only when he's super excited and starts to describe a scene or when the guest doesn't talk much and he has to fill the time.

    • @goober4502
      @goober4502 9 років тому +1

      I've been watching since the very first year the show started when Obama was elected in and china had the Olympics, trust me I'm a fan. But think what you will. I meant in general, when you watch his interviews with musicians, actors, politicians, etc. a lot of times (enough for me to notice) he doesn't seem to know what he's talking about. He stumbles thru statements (I don't mean his stutter) when he realizes he doesn't know enough about the subject. Again tho, think what you will.
