Crazy prayingmantis I didnt choose the right words, or more like i didnt write my thoughts correctly. , i mean just the album. i know Pauls roots are Rock, in all of the beatles and his stuff in band on the run is great. Im a fan of Paul but i wont listen to all of his stuff just because he did it. Sadly this album really lacks that magic Paul could do to create master pieces.

I agree totally, I don't care much for this album at all.
In fact I'll probably never listen to it again, there's nothing on it that I want to hear again.
But my initial comment was in regards to how a rock star should conduct themselves.
He's a class act, no bullshit down to earth human being

Abbey Road, or Revolver then give me a call, otherwise go somewhere else. You are delusional to think that Taylor Swift is anywhere near Paul McCartney.

    • @GretaVanZeppelin1996
      @GretaVanZeppelin1996 5 років тому +193

@Ramiro Garcia Look, I'm not slamming Taylor Swift intentionally, I think that she has done some good stuff. I liked 'Shake it off' but comparatively speaking, there is no comparison. You really should do some research on the Beatles and listen to their music and who they inspired. They inspired an entire generation to produce music which is still being played today. John Lennon remains a world renowned figure even 38 years after his assassination. George Harrison's music was recently used in Guardians of the Galaxy, and the Beatles have sold the most albums ever. 272 million albums sold worldwide between 1962-2018. By comparison, Swift has only sold 87 million albums. Look, I don't mean to stand you up, but the Beatles are bigger than Taylor Swift will ever be. The numbers I've just showed provide solid evidence. The Beatles have two albums that are within the Top 50 best selling albums of all-time... Taylor Swift doesn't have any.

Sir Paul has an ego... but it is NOT egotism. There is a world of difference. He KNOWS he is good at what he does. He has the confidence that long years of hard work and success have brought. That is a key facet: “...To develop confidence not arrogance.” 🌹

I saw the Beatles on August 15th, 1965 at NY Mets Shea Stadium. I was 12 years old, (a month shy of 13 lol) My then 16 year old sister was given the task of purchasing five tickets for herself and her girlfriends. At the last minute, one of her friends couldn't go. She took me! Seats right behind the 3rd base dugout. Insane night to say the least! I remember flash camera's going off all over the stadium, girls screaming, crying just being there. Spray painted bed sheets with all kinds of messages on them.

I saw them August 23, 1966 at Shea Stadium, a night I will never forget. I was 15. Still have my ticket stub after moving a gazillion times. My BF went to Pelham High with Sid Bernstein's daughter and got us in. I wore my blue dress bell bottoms with a lilac checked button-down gingham shirt. The screaming was so loud you could barely hear a thing except people shut up for Yesterday. Bobby Hebb opened and I think the Ronettes may have played as well. I remember the audience looked like a sea of white eyelet and lace, everyone in their best dress. I ran down as the concert broke, galloping down 6 levels and when I got to the mezzanine, the Brinks truck with the Beatles was pulling away, about 20' below me on the landing. Paul was by the window, saw me and waved and I waved back!

I was 10 years old on a February evening in 1964, watching the Ed Sullivan show when the Beatles took the stage. My life as a kid in Kansas was at once enriched and illuminated. Memories from before that day are in black and white, and after, they’re in color. I collected all their albums, first on vinyl, later on cassette and CD. Now, thanks to iTunes, I’ve got them all and regularly jack the volume up to ten. I can imagine my dearly departed mom, yelling from the heavenly dimension, “turn it down!”

Paul came to my country and had a free concert a few years ago. 16 hours of waiting for the show to start were absolutely worth it and I would do it again.
I'm so happy I got to see the man play live, now I can die happily.

He came to my hometown Nagoya for the first time, it was in 2018 and back then I was an poor university student. I had no money to get a ticket to get in to the stadium so I came close to a door and listened him sing very carefully with my ear on it. When me and a friend of mine was doing that poor stuffs, some old madams came to doors next to us listening him like us, ears on the door. It was a very cold day. Such a wonderful memory he gave to me. Thank you Paul.

Paul's mention of Dark Side of The Moon was sarcasm.
Paul McCartney’s contributions to the album were deleted - but the Beatles made a surprise appearance on the record.
In an attempt to further tie Dark Side‘s songs together, Roger Waters came up with the idea of recording interviews with Abbey Road staffers, road crew members, and anyone else working at the studio - asking them a series of questions about subjects ranging from the banal (favorite colors and foods) to the deeply serious (madness and death) - and then threading some of the interview snippets into the final mix. Paul McCartney, who was finishing Wings’ Red Rose Speedway album at Abbey Road, was actually among the interviewees, but Waters deemed his answers unusable. “He was the only person who found it necessary to perform, which was useless, of course,” Waters told Pink Floyd biographer John Harris. “I thought it was really interesting that he would do that. He was trying to be funny, which wasn’t what we wanted at all.”
Even so, McCartney - or at least his music - still managed to make a brief appearance on the album. If you listen close to the end of “Eclipse,” the album’s closing track, a passage from an orchestral version of the Beatles’ “Ticket to Ride” can be heard; the song was apparently playing in the background at the studio while Abbey Road doorman Gerry O’Driscoll (who delivered the immortal lines, “There is no dark side of the moon, really. Matter of fact, it’s all dark. The only thing that makes it look light is the sun.”) was being recorded.
McCartney's Wings bandmate Henry McCullough contributed the line "I don't know, I was really drunk at the time" to the song Money.

Just to see how Paul has grown and developed, is absolutely brilliant. He answers everything innocently honestly. Ego? What is ego?
His personality is pure and untarnished. In spite of a few nasty people's nasty comments in his past. He's risen above all of it.
His legacy is already showing him as one of the modern master composers of our time. A modern Beethoven? I think so.
