In men, hair often begins to recede from the forehead.
Male-pattern baldness
Women tend to lose hair along the part.
Female-pattern baldness
Patchy hair loss (alopecia areata) is sometimes preceded by itchy or painful scalp.
Patchy hair loss (alopecia areata)
Repeated stress on the hair can cause a type of hair loss called traction alopecia.
Traction alopecia
t's becoming increasingly common for menopausal women to experience frontal fibrosing alopecia, in which the hairline moves back.
Frontal fibrosing alopecia
Hair loss can appear in many different ways, depending on what's causing it. It can come on suddenly or gradually and affect just your scalp or your whole body.
Signs and symptoms of hair loss may include:
Gradual thinning on top of head. This is the most common type of hair loss, affecting people as they age. In men, hair often begins to recede at the hairline on the forehead. Women typically have a broadening of the part in their hair. An increasingly common hair loss pattern in older women is a receding hairline (frontal fibrosing alopecia).
Circular or patchy bald spots. Some people lose hair in circular or patchy bald spots on the scalp, beard or eyebrows. Your skin may become itchy or painful before the hair falls out.
Sudden loosening of hair. A physical or emotional shock can cause hair to loosen. Handfuls of hair may come out when combing or washing your hair or even after gentle tugging. This type of hair loss usually causes overall hair thinning but is temporary.
Full-body hair loss. Some conditions and medical treatments, such as chemotherapy for cancer, can result in the loss of hair all over your body. The hair usually grows back.
Patches of scaling that spread over the scalp. This is a sign of ringworm. It may be accompanied by broken hair, redness, swelling and, at times, oozing.
When to see a doctor
See your doctor if you are distressed by persistent hair loss in you or your child and want to pursue treatment. For women who are experiencing a receding hairline (frontal fibrosing alopecia), talk with your doctor about early treatment to avoid significant permanent baldness.
Also talk to your doctor if you notice sudden or patchy hair loss or more than usual hair loss when combing or washing your or your child's hair. Sudden hair loss can signal an underlying medical condition that requires treatment.
People typically lose 50 to 100 hairs a day. This usually isn't noticeable because new hair is growing in at the same time. Hair loss occurs when new hair doesn't replace the hair that has fallen out. - Навчання та стиль
Yo this literally gets rid of all my hairloss worries. I'll try to keep it with a regimen but if it goes, i'll just do this! i have zero insecurity with this - people do all sorts to make themselves appear better, this doesn't cross any lines for me :) The stigma around hair systems is ridiculous.
boom! thats awesome!
I applaud you for being so open about this. Your content is great.
Another great video! I think she did a great job. The style she gave you looked great!
Another incredible video! I can’t wait to see this channel get 100k subs. It will happen. It’s refreshing to see this kind of detailed content from a younger wearer. I think you’ll inspire many others to take the plunge.
i Hope so!
Mate I hope you know how much I appreciate these videos and your guidance has assisted me in my decision to adopt this. Thank you so much!
Glad to help
Reminds me of my first cut-in. Nervous but excited. She did a great job!
heck yeah!
Great job bud. Best vids in the UA-cam world. Most helpful and relatable.
Wow, thanks!
Awesome video my brother! Keep up the great work.
You look great without the hairpiece man!
You look great Jake, Thanks for showing your Hair system fitting 😊
you're welcome kev!
Great video! She is good you are right. I like less density, but in your case you can have this density because you have an amazing facial hair. After you shaved, didn’t look that great, but very nice. Now that you have more facial hair again, start looking great again. Just opinion, you will get complement different from people to people. Thank you to show the people working to get your hair done. I love it. I wish I had that chance. I gave up for now because I could not find a place as you have. Now waiting for my implant get full grow, then decide if I can find a nice place in Boston area.
I do a good job myself, but I take too much time. Thank you man. Pete
Thanks for the feedback. For me, I like the density. ❤️
It looks really good :) iam not sure if i should do it. but wow it looks soo nice
Hey Jake. Great videos! I had my first hair system about 8 years ago. I was 62 at the time. My sides are quite thin. And although I told them not to make it pure white I was unhappily disappointed when I saw myself in the mirror, after the installation of course. I returned the next and told them to remove it and give me my money back. Needless to say it was a very negative experience. I’m back in the game, as it were, and I’m going for it again. I’m having a “full cap” custom order made. I’m experiencing high anxiety but I trust the man. I hope it will look as good as some that I’m seeing online. I love your channel - perhaps I will be able to share my before and after looks with you a few months from now!
How did it go?
Bless you for being out there letting others knowThe bald trend does not have to happen .
Alopecia which you probably know is a genetic hair loss diagnosis some just partial hair loss on the body or totalis meaning no eyebrows make it tough to place a system.. Best you can do most have three finger forehead or a four so placing your hand on the forehead horizontally helps .
You look great!
Love your hair at the 9:20 mark when she's done cutting it in and your hair is still damp and kind of tussled looking and falling forward. That is exactly the style I would like for myself. Personally, I prefer that look to the blow-dryed, overly styled look.
it's a good look!
Fantastic thank you so much for sharing just remember tires are installed hair systems are applied
System looks great. How often do you need to retape? Thanks, Kim
I’ve been wearing a system for 4 weeks now. A big learning curve. What system is she installing in this video? It looks so good and natural. My system seems to always look dry and frizzy. I haven’t seen one that looks like that on the underside either, but looks to be easier than the one I have . Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Hey Jake! Do you usually go with a single brand of a hair system? I think it’s time for me to get my first one. What you’re doing is amazing, btw.
You’ve got very good temple points, I think you would benefit from an even lower hairline.
Hey Jake! What brand of system did you go with? I’m trying to decide what brand to carry in our salon. Thanks!
Awesome video, I have been wearing a system fo many years , the only problem I have is finding a stylist to cut it the right way , also it can bee pretty pricey too , who it be rude to ask what the coast was ? thanks
Hey Jake, did she also cut the front of the base by the marks or only the back and sides.
Doesn't that messes up the hairline?
Nice rug
I think it's time for me to go see Karla at Total secret. So Valuable, thank you bro. Loving these videos
Hey dude, send me an email. I’ll connect you to. I like to refer people to her 😂
Jake@dillymedia.com
Hello Oscar!!!! it will be a pleasure to serve you
Hello, I like that hair system where and what model is it thanks
More great content! I have to say, a slick back undercut similar to the 7:24 mark would look pretty bad ass.
haha broooo!!! i totally want to try the viking look. it would look so good with the beard
agree - I think a longer style on the top would look great
Jake, where did you get your hair system in this video? Does total secret sell hair systems or do they just instal?
What kind of cut did you ask? Looks great and not poofy at all!
How long does it last? Does it get really sweaty under it when you’re at the gym
Hi Jake, love your videos which I’m finding very informative. I have frontal fibrosing scarring alopecia. I’ve lost beard and temple hair and my frontline has receded around 1.5 inches. I am giving serious consideration to a hair system. Have you come across any systems that targets the temples? Many thanks. William
ive seen people use hair systems on all parts of the head before. why not create a template for your temples, and give it a try?
I know exactly what you mean Jake...absolutely hate it when my replacement is off and hair shaved...look hideous...with mine its bond..much prefer it than tape i had previously...dont know if its because of the hair piece design i can have the bonding but with tape kept coming loose? Just what happened to me...yours looks great when on to be honest...
If we prefer tape then do they apply liquid bonds? Are liquid bonds bad for scalp and existing hair on scalp in terms of allergy
Hey Jake!
What brand of hair system do yo uuse?
Just subb'd...just got a new system...awesome vidz ..my new hero👍👍👍👍
Congrats man! Stoked to hear more about your system
If ya ever want to jump on the channel let me know
@@JakeKent def will let u kno
Nice video Jake. If I want to have my hair installed at the same place by the same lady, where is the location ? Thanks
That man behind you loves to be in front of the camera. Every chance he had, he was there lol 😂
lmao he's such a funny dude!
Loved, loved, loved this video. So awesome to see the process from start to finish. I have to say Jake that you honestly look awesome with hair or without. I definitely think the hair looks terrific though.
Are you able to give the brand of the leave in conditioner you use that you say you love the smell of?
Richard! Thanks as always for the kind words. So the one I love the smell of, unfortunately I can’t find anymore. It got discontinued :(. However, I found a new one. I added the link to the product in my bio, along with all my other products ❤️
Jake Kent you are more than welcome my friend.
Thanks for responding. It’s really nice to hear from you. .
When you mentioned shaving your head for the first time and that terrified feeling where there’s no turning back, that is exactly how I felt. But then once the hair was attached, I realized it was totally worth it.
Once put, how long will it last?
Over the years has there been a skin tone change between your forehead and scalp?
How long is keep what is the price
What does something like that cost?
Best way to find salons that do installations?
Jake, you looks so good with a beard man, grow it out. When she first put the unit on you you looked Spartan. Seriously consider it man! You could even top knot it.
hahaha i would LOVE to try that look one day :)
@@JakeKent he is so right, your longer beard is just so great! you looks a lot better. As for a hairstyle, as an experienced user I can tell you, that your system can looks lot better than now, and more realistic, is all about good haircut, also 130%-140% hair for a better look, and good cosmetics for styling, but it needs some skills. Now when im looking at your hair I can see, that you wearing tupee, cause it fits badly with your natural hair, the easy solution for that is to do fade out, but it require to do it like once a week, cause natural hair will grow up and not fit to tupee.
aww i didnt watch your movie to the end, now i understand why u keep it longer on the sides. But srsly grow a beard! also that hairstyle look at 8:36 is so great, messy, and looks so natural, you should keep that overall way of looking, and be hipster gentelman =)
What is the total cost for this lady to do the hair unit.im a first timer .thx RK
Sir what kind of base you are using sir..I'm hesitate to buy toupee because I don't like hot wig
what is the average cost of this procedure and how often do you have to go back
Jake, you should give advice on proper tip etiquette for the stylists.
Yo Jake, my mom is black however im Very white, like white-white lol. My hair is Very curly but light brown. Do you know where can Find curly hair in that color? Also, how long does a unit last if you take good care of it? And also, could u buy multiple units at once, and save up? Or would they expire at the same date?
so you don't use adhesive glues? you use tape?
How much density? 90 front graduated to 100?
Wait so do you use tape and glue?? I’m new so I’m confused lol
Hey Jake, great video! Have you ever looked into Cesar Ragazzi systems? They are supposed to be top of the line and they say that you don’t need to shave your head, which I don’t see how that’s possible?’
They run about 5 grand. Plus you have to c them monthly or for any touch up cause their glue is special.
Hey jake how do you go about cutting the sides and back that will keep growing to keep it in line with your system? Going to get one after lock down ASAP.. Stopped using regain and its going so fast!.. Love this videos mate!!
Matt.
haha it does go fast, doesnt it? there are some youtubers out there who cut their own hair. i have yet to do so. i'd like to try though!
I feel I need to cut my back and sides once a month, do you go to the same place you have this fitted to get it cut at the moment then? I'll be trying to re install myself after a few time seeing the pro's. I'll hope to be able to go to a local salon to cut the back and sides and just let them no to leave the top!
How much it’s cost?
What kind of toupee is good I will try to buy sir
How much did the piece cost?I think she did a great cut for you.
What is the cost
Hey man, I live an hour away from this place. I’d really like to go. I bought a French lace and would be interested in using the same hairstyle as it’s semi exposed.
Jake@dillymedia.com email me
Hi broo, iam wondering if you install hair system is it comfortable through out the days or it feels like you're wearing a cap and feel hot in your head for weeks?
Yes, it’s comfortable
incredible work. I have to question for you, How much did cost you? and where can l get one in online? l tried with amazon and l find one but not a good quality maybe it'll last for two weeks
Either go to a salon, or order one from lordhair, la vivid, or another hair system distributor.
I'm curious how you found the place you visit for your installations. I'm having trouble finding any places that aren't super expensive or that don't require an overpriced membership.
i had to dig and dig and dig to find carla. it took me days, and i found a random video on youtube from 5 years ago, followed it to her website, and that's all she wrote!
I am new to this. So all you really need is tape? How do you easily remove the tape for maintenance?
LOL I had family and friends around my first time joking I looked like a typical lawyer when they shaved thé top. Thén it looked great and we went drinking on thé beach. 15 years later here I am.
they sound like good friends and family ;)
how long do the hair systems last until you have to get it redone ?
depends on usage
Question Jake, should I have this professionally put in by a hair salonist or could I do it at home?
your first few times, i especially reccomend having a stylist
I do it myself
Are you glad you did ot or not
How do you style it.. Can you put wax or matt clay ect in it?
Depends on the style.
@@JakeKent so if you want to you can put wax or something in it and wash it out the next morning?
What kind of tape do you use?
Ultra hold
Hi,
Didn't she use glue on hairline ?
What brand or company hair system are you using?
i use lordhair and lavivid
Great video brother! When are you gonna take the plunge and try it yourself? ;) I need to look up some basic video skills so that I can send you a video of the tape trick I told you about! Thanks for the video!
Hey bro! I did a self install Monday last week, and I’m doing another tomorrow. My girlfriend is helping me, but I’m getting more comfortable with doing it myself
When you do a self apply are you working from front to back or vice versa? I’m curious how others do it?
Thanks for the info Buddy, I do as well, it allows me to find the back stick that tape and then work my way around the sides peeling the tape as I go.... then I work the front just like I’m redoing a front hairline.... easy peasy! I tried something new this time and worked from one side the the other because I had the hair combed forward and I produced a wrinkle on one side..... no big deal, just went with it and I’ll fix it when I redo the hairline next time. I’m the only one that notices.
Jake, I made a video today re-doing my hairline, and using my painters tape glue application. Would you like the footage for a video?
Hi Jake! Do you have an instagram or email I can get in touch with you on? I'd love to chat more to you about your experience. I'm34 and experiencing anxiety and due to hair loss. I'm not sure f a hair transplant is the right choice for me or if going with a unit is more right for me... I'd love to know more about why you went with a unit over a hair transplant :)
Sure you can reach out here @jacob_t_kent on IG
Do you sweat a lot when you workout? If so, does your hair system last 6 months?
Yes I do. I don’t know I don’t wear them that long as of now.
I’m in Orlando Florida, where is this salon in Florida and what is its name? Thank you
would you like an introduction? email me jake@dillymedia.com
Jake if I had as much hair as you do the hell with the hair system
Haha, to each their own!
Seeing that you're a NW4 at most, instead of a full piece, have you considered Frontal Piece Only + Maintain Remaining Hair with Propecia ?
I'm an NW6 and I was thinking the same thing. Jake still has some hair.
i'm more of a 6. i have some hair on top, but its thinned, and recess quite a fair amount. I've tried propecia, and started to have sexual side effects.
@@JakeKent I don't think you're a NW6. But if you can't handle propecia, fair enough.
Hey man looks great. How much does she charge? Do you get the hairsystem online then she just installs it? My local place wants 800$ for hairsystem and installation which seems like a lot.
its definitely a lot less than that
Run away and never go back to that place because they are trying to rob you.
Can you recommend a stylist in Los Angeles? (Asking for a friend... lol)
Hi jake would you recommend lord hair?
i haven't yet given my recommendation on lord hair / any other distributor.
To answer your question...Lordhair and LaVividhair.com are your best choices. They're reasonably priced and hair systems look the most natural.
Other systems I've tried have very funky colors and the densities are way too thick. Best of luck on your search for a hair system.
ash, lavivid has begun sponsoring some of my videos. if you do decide to go with them, use "jake15" for 15% off your purchase
I live in nyc. The prices are INSANE. I mean all nyc plus Nassau Suffolk. The only place I could find would only install a Lord hair and you have to buy the standard full density one. I gave up n just started creating partial pieces for myself. It ain’t easy but I won’t be robbed either. One guy in NYC charges $800 to plop on a 150% density rodent on your head that looks ridiculous and not even talking about the hairline I think $ wise. One is best experimenting on your own. It ain’t easy putting on yourself but like our man here you learn the hard way. And there’s no better feeling then doing it yourself and it coming out right. A lot is patience
i can only imagine man!
Where are you located? And how can I find a place to do this?
im in tampa florida. search on google!
8:47 is the hairstyle I’m after, well I can’t get it if I don’t do this 😅
Do you lose more hair on top because of the hair system?
I wondered this, did you find out?
@@DamonWatson no man unfortch
What happens when you have to cut your natural hair because they are too long?
How much does having a system cost per year?
About a $1000 per year for the 3ish units you need per year. Plus Salon costs if you have them installed by someone else. Glue/tape costs are minimal, so I'd say $1200 a year all factors included.
9:23
at like 7:55 that would make an awesome viking looking hairstyle
haha yess i love it
@@JakeKent Get it. Longer more messy styles look more natural imo and it suits you well.
You still have some natural hair
i do
Hey brotha! Loved the video. You have Instagram or anything I can message you on? I have a few questions if you wouldn’t mind answering for me.
@jacob_t_kent
can you make a video talking about dating?
Dating in general? What’s your thought?
@@JakeKent like how having a hair system increases your options (more attractive women than when you're balding), makes certain scenarios more difficult (women touching your hair? Maybe sleeping over?), when to be honest with them and how they usually take it?
I'm personally going to rely on hair concealer for now and am worried about how to deal with dating, so it's similar.
Long term I'd like a hair system but I'm not sure because I'm physically active, sweat A LOT, and I play hockey which I'd probably have to give up.. also I'm sure traveling would be a lot harder :/
incredible result! wow! i'm seriously impressed with these systems. gives me major hope that if finasteride doesn't work out for me i can go down the hair system route!
You dont look bad with a shaved head have you ever thought of combining SMP and Hair System?
Brother, you have way more natural hair left than I do. So you're using a poly / lace system? And you can't tape lace? I thought you could. That means I have to use a glue? Man, this really is a learning process if you're trying to do it by yourself. I have a feeling I'm going to end up looking like a department store mannequin. :-D
you can lace tape, but you have to be more careful about the tape breaking down and getting into the system, i believe.
@@JakeKent Do you know the average life span of a system? I bought a "Lordhair," system. First time. Didn't cost a fortune but it's real hair with either Swiss or French lace. Whatever that means.
You can tape lace. You can use a product called lace release and it works great at removing the tape without damaging the system.
.
8:35 is the best look
Just saying but I think you have a cool look going on with no unit and a big beard.
Is your hair system synthetic, or is it human hair?
Its human
tony is correct
Please!!!!!!! Message me in need of help and have had a totally bad and burning experience with Curtis need help ASAP!
This looks like an incredibly expensive process. I've seen people who do it themselves which I'm not sure I could do but I'm guessing you shell out for someone like this to attach it and cut it in.
depends on your definition of expensive, i guess
Jake Kent I guess if you have to ask you can’t afford it! Thanks for your videos Jake!
2011buddylee Thanks!
The video one looks way better than you are now..what happen?
