    In men, hair often begins to recede from the forehead.
    Male-pattern baldness
    Women tend to lose hair along the part.
    Female-pattern baldness
    Patchy hair loss (alopecia areata) is sometimes preceded by itchy or painful scalp.
    Patchy hair loss (alopecia areata)
    Repeated stress on the hair can cause a type of hair loss called traction alopecia.
    Traction alopecia
    t's becoming increasingly common for menopausal women to experience frontal fibrosing alopecia, in which the hairline moves back.
    Frontal fibrosing alopecia
    Hair loss can appear in many different ways, depending on what's causing it. It can come on suddenly or gradually and affect just your scalp or your whole body.
    Signs and symptoms of hair loss may include:
    Gradual thinning on top of head. This is the most common type of hair loss, affecting people as they age. In men, hair often begins to recede at the hairline on the forehead. Women typically have a broadening of the part in their hair. An increasingly common hair loss pattern in older women is a receding hairline (frontal fibrosing alopecia).
    Circular or patchy bald spots. Some people lose hair in circular or patchy bald spots on the scalp, beard or eyebrows. Your skin may become itchy or painful before the hair falls out.
    Sudden loosening of hair. A physical or emotional shock can cause hair to loosen. Handfuls of hair may come out when combing or washing your hair or even after gentle tugging. This type of hair loss usually causes overall hair thinning but is temporary.
    Full-body hair loss. Some conditions and medical treatments, such as chemotherapy for cancer, can result in the loss of hair all over your body. The hair usually grows back.
    Patches of scaling that spread over the scalp. This is a sign of ringworm. It may be accompanied by broken hair, redness, swelling and, at times, oozing.
    When to see a doctor
    See your doctor if you are distressed by persistent hair loss in you or your child and want to pursue treatment. For women who are experiencing a receding hairline (frontal fibrosing alopecia), talk with your doctor about early treatment to avoid significant permanent baldness.
    Also talk to your doctor if you notice sudden or patchy hair loss or more than usual hair loss when combing or washing your or your child's hair. Sudden hair loss can signal an underlying medical condition that requires treatment.
    People typically lose 50 to 100 hairs a day. This usually isn't noticeable because new hair is growing in at the same time. Hair loss occurs when new hair doesn't replace the hair that has fallen out.

    Have to agree to disagree about not keeping the sides short. If your color is spot on then long sides works. But when the color is off or ages out, the head looks like it has two distinctive colors, top and bottom (hello Hairpiece) . However, if your barber give you a great fade the back hair would naturally be darker, as these hair have not been lightened by the Sun. So for you guys wear human hair it buys you time because an exact color match is not as big of a deal

    Great vid man, I love these. So it seems like we have nearly the exact same hair color, i noticed your system is slightly lightning up and is a tad lighter than your sides and back bio hair (NOT a bad thing at all, mine is currently doing the same thing) what are your thoughts on dying the unit? I'm considering dying the system a medium brown to match more my sides and back, but I also kind of like the two toned look lol. Thoughts?

    • @JakeKent
      @JakeKent  3 роки тому +1

      Yeah man, so my response is that my next unit going on this week I’m going to take care of the color more with a color revitalizing conditioner (specific to my natural hair color)
      It doesn’t bother me that the color is slightly off, to me, the unit looks “sun kissed” my hair always naturally lightening and had highlights when I had hair so it doesn’t get in my head. If you dye your unit, I’d consider going to see a coloring specialist (at least to do some R&D - rob and duplicate) color science is a deep field. It’s not as simple as dying something back to medium brown. It’s something I want to study more myself!

    Just about all of these guys take these 'systems' too far. Instead of getting a normal hairstyle like the host of this video, they all choose some fancy haircut..and it makes it look fake. A few days ago, one of these videos popped up on my youtube feed and I have become fascinated with watching them. I have noticed a trend that most of these guys are choosing hair that is almost naturally unattainable. You'd really think that they would try to be more discreet. Sure, most people wouldn't think anything of it. But anyone who knew what they were looking at would immediately know that their hair was fake. That would be humiliating to me. As society becomes more and more wussified, it seems as if more and more guys want to be pretty boys. Sorry fellas, but not everyone can be a pretty boy. Just accept it and be yourself.

    • @JakeKent
      @JakeKent  3 роки тому +1

      I think every business should be a content producer first, and then service/ product provider second. They are wise to produce more content. There will always be more demand. That’s why I’m not afraid to have people who are starting up UA-cam channels on my channel. *gentle jab at some other people inside of the space* I know the people/businesses that KEEP producing content, and serve the audience will come out on top. If I so happen to be one of those individuals, Then so be it 😋❤️

    I made the plunge and had a system installed. I'm having anxiety because because there appears to be visible glue at the hairline.The stylist told me the white will disappear as it dries. It has been over almost 2 hours and it still seem terribly visible. I can definitely not wear exposed hairline.

    Hey Jake! Thanks for the video. Just FYI, ultra thin skin unit hair doesn't have knots because it's V-looped. There are some skin systems that are flat injected, also with no knots. I wouldn't recommend flat injection since the hair style options are limited. I think that system, the 2nd segment, doesn't look as natural due to the mediocre ventilation of the hair line.

    • @JakeKent
      @JakeKent  3 роки тому +1

      I spoke incorrectly. Yes thin skin has v loop or Injected. Sorry if I spoke wrong!

      @@JakeKent No worries, man! By the way, you can also check out Heydecke and Onna, and maybe show those retailers in your future videos. They both have amazing hair lines! Also, I think just like the Latino guy in one of your segments, some ethnicities could pull off a straighter thicker hair line, but if you're white, better stick with a curved finer hair line.

I just wish I had lower density..pompadour does not look good guy needs to thin out piece and/or grow out sides even with thé irregularity of thé hairline its too thick..guy needs to wear hair down..when you have bangs you dont have to worry about thé hairline looking perfect....poly unit hairline sucks..density looks good but bangs...its just not worth thé hassle in my opinion..I gave up on thé hairline and dreams of wearing my hair up years ago..even with bleached knots they can only go so light..better off getting a blond one and dying it..all examples have too much density
