As someone who has neglected their oral health for most of their life, I just want to thank you Mark. I've been stressing about my teeth being too far gone and the potential cost of dental work that would be needed to restore my mouth. While I still will need a bit of work done, your practical and product recommendations has helped my mouth to heal more than I thought possible. We need more honest dentists like you that aren't blindly subservient to the harmful protocols peddled by the big corporations and instead promote no BS, fact-based oral hygiene practices. You're doing great things for the world, keep it up!

I bought your book and I am loving it. Should I mouth tape in conjunction with my mandibular advancement device?

YES! You can definitely tape in conjunction with your mandibular advancement device. Thanks for the question!

There is a dentist in the UK doing Othotropics, which is exactly what you are talking about.

ENTs my daughter has seen just blow it off and say it’s a thing and don’t take it seriously. What research can I give to the health care providers. They need to learn about this.

Nasal breathing became much easier after I upgraded air filters. You need about MERV 8 to reduce mold, dust, and other allergens. And it's not so restrictive that it should cause problems with home HVAC systems.

I've been focused on my new podcast. But I am considering resuming these interviews. Who would you like me to bring on next? Or which topic would you like to see next?

Just started watching you ur videos. Can you do one about craze lines in the front off the teeth and fractures from fillings and such and the difference. I have had craze lines for a long time, I’m 40 now, but I noticed recently one of my teeth it has been more noticeable. I’m worried what it could lead to.

My 10 year old has been mouth breathing for years and I tried mouth taping him a few days when he slept (of course with all the fear in my mind that he might not be able to breathe and I had him sleeping next to me like the doctor said). I think he slept better than I did 😅😂 But he hates it when the tapes come off even though it's not painful at all. I think I am going to try it again after watching this video. Sometimes he wakes up with terrible breath!!! I want to resolve this for sure.

@@smoothbanana Hi, I use the micropore tape, it's better... he is ok having it and some days not ok... i get lazy at times and just let him be... with the tape, really helps him to have better breath... he can actually breathe using his nose whole night with the tape on... he has some buck teeth so his upper lip cannot stretch over the teeth... braces will be in order to help this issue soon. He dislikes the feeling when tape is removed cos it hurts but he is the more sensitive type of kid... using water to wet the tape makes it easier to remove.

@@wem-c9f thanks for replying. I am not convinced buck teeth prevent the upper lip from closing (people like the Mews would argue that in most cases the teeth are still too far back). I think it is more due to the lower jaw (and hence lower lip) being set back, thereby causing the lower lip to posture just behind the upper teeth and flare them out. Be aware that braces alone may not be able to completely resolve the "lip incompetency" issue. He may also need a functional appliance to bring his lower jaw forward. I suggest seeing an orthodontist soon who believes in early interceptive treatment / dentofacial orthopaedics.
