Transforming our F56 Cooper S into a show car for Essen Motorshow

- With a week left before Essen Motorshow 2018, we suddenly realised we better get our humble Mini Cooper S ready for its first show appearance!
With the car stripped for paint, and custom 6Sixty Forged Wheels and Supersprint exhaust on the way, it was time for a mad rush to get the car ready to drive to Essen in Germany.
The Essen Motorshow is on from 1-9th of December 2018, if you are visiting come and see the car in Hall 6 on the Eventuri stand!

Nice car. Pity you didn't continue the colour accents from the wheel, to the rest of the bodywork just to give a more balanced look.

Damn that stock exhaust is THICC! I had an 06 DINAN Mini Cooper S that was my first track day car. I sure do miss it. It was similar to driving a big ass go cart, plus it had just enough power to learn the proper way round a track.
They are exactly like big go karts when the suspension is sorted. Add an LSD and it's amazing fun

How were the trim pieces de-chromed? Painted or wrapped? Love this MINI and I’m tempted in getting the Eventuri intake... 😉👍🏼
They were painted by Quattro Coachworks, along with the rest of the bodywork 👍🏻

I got my upper engine mount replace (my ignorance)- so I need the rest replaced. how many mounts are there in the 2016 F56 mini cooper s? will the transmission mount need to be replaced as well?
-wear and tear issue, i have sentimental value for this car and would like to make it up and running in optimal condition.
Planning to go stage 2 on my Cooper S F56 trackcar/daily. Now making 240whp. Wonder how much it will manage to get at stage 2. Keep up the good work!
@@JasonCronje depends where it was mapped ofcourse. I heard some stories but it was the owners fault

What tiny was used for the headlights?? So glad they made the intake in plastic as well..made sense for the mini :)

Man, I’m so disappointed 😞. Had my F56 Cooper S (2015, JCW tune and pro exhaust) remapped and it lurched when putting my foot down before immediately fading and then lurching again. Had to have the remap removed. Any advice? I would be happy to come to you guys this summer.

@@EvolveAutomotive thanks for this... I've just seen you also have them for sale! So so tempted. I've got a F56 2018 model but it has the newer MAF sensor. I see you guys do 2 kits, one pre LCI and one LCI. I think I'm right in assuming I'd need the LCI kit? Cheers guys

I driven the 3 cylinder, can't say very much wondering matching the S models performance against the JCW? I will drive the car in L..A. I wondering about the performance aspects of the two cars...Comment Please
They are both 2.0 but the JCW has a bigger turbo, brakes and different suspension amongst other things. Comes down to what you ate willing to pay

Exactly why the M2 I hope I’m place a deposit on this weekend will remain stock. Although it does have the carbon bits fitted and not sure I like them. Rear diffuser yes, front and side no.
For me subtle is more cool.
Following with interest as we have a volcanic orange F56 MCS. Sadly the VDC on it is rubbish.
You can get a good sounding exhaust without drone. My M2 has a full Supersprint exhaust and have done many euro trips in it! We have fitted Bilstein B16 to our Mini it handles great. What is it about the VDC which you don't like?
Sport modem it’s just way too hard and in standard mode it’s inconsistent. TBH 4 wheel alignment and PS4 tyres do need to be fitted.
Find the clutch hard work too re feel and dealer said with the crankshaft recall did have an impact, but Mini won’t do anything. March 14 car.
When in at dealer again I’ll have a moan again.
Re M2 after modifying my last cars, looking forward to something stock. Do like the carbon MPE tips though

6:39 supposed to remove sticker before balancing. as some larger stickers can weigh around 5 grams. so you balance them up then take the sticker off its already outta balance albeit very minutely ..this is basic stuff guys cmon

2016. We can get around 280-290 on that set up

The Mini doesn’t have space for a spare wheel
So what are you going to use in case of a puncture, as my 2017 Jcw has run flats & I want to change to non run flats!!

how professional is a tuner if he knows that he will display a car at a quite important show and starts his work 3 days before?

@@EvolveAutomotive this is naturally a good explanation. If i might give you an advice: Say that, because then it turns completely and one that looks at your tube is impressed about the shortage of time in which you managed to do that.

Really love that functional intake. Way too pricey for my wallet though. Love this car and what you've done with it.
