- How to replace the Windshield Washer Pump on your Mazda CX-5 (2012 - 2107).
I was quoted $477 ($290 for a genuine part) but only spent $66 doing it myself with an aftermarket pump!
You saved me a mountain of frustration!
Cheers dude, I have to fit one today ready for the MOT test this afternoon. 👍 BJ
My washer fluid leaked after driving off-road today will check if it's the pump that came loose tomorrow
Did this on my 2013 CX-5 and still low pressure like yours. The pump was replaced by an OEM and the problem still persists, the next step will be to replace the check valves.
Yeah I blew compressed air through mine first to see if it was clogged at all (from the pump end).
From memory there was a join near the windshield where the water splits to the two jets so you’d want both jets disconnected since they’re on the same hose.
@@gregandtarynsplace I'll be removing the cowl grill tomorrow to check all the hoses and connectors, specially those check valves, according to the diagram there are two.
sad I can't do this on the CX3, there is an extra layer of fender flares. I removed all the screws, but it was so stubborn it won't pull off :\ So I guess I will take it to a mechanic or dealer to do it.
I was just planning to fix my cx3 also. Didn’t know it was different from other Mazdas :(
