I work in IT as a Device Administrator but I found power tool reviews a bit long and boring so thought I'd create my own content. Plus I tend to purchase a bit of equipment and enjoy the challenge of content creation so thought it was time to stop talking about it - and actually do it!
This channel has 4 main goals:
1. Informative and to the point.
2. Nothing over 10 minutes.
3. Accurate subtitles.
4. No lengthy 'talk to camera' pieces.
I have 2 small kids. Creating content is hard and finding time to consume the content is also hard. My videos are made with Dad's holding a sleeping baby at 2am or trying to get some peace and quiet by barricading themselves in the toilet in mind.
Cheers!

Breville Barista Express Pro - Stops in 5 seconds
Переглядів 43 тис.Рік тому
Not quite 2 years old and of course out of warranty, my Breville Barista Express Pro would stop extracting after exactly 5 seconds. A quick Google showed this is becoming increasing common. I watched a video on how to repair it, but the video was quite long and skipped major details so I thought I'd do my own. I didn't have a local repair agent and this saved me having to post it 400km away and...
Ozito 18v Spray Gun - Review
Переглядів 15 тис.Рік тому
Taking a look at the Ozito 18v Paint Sprayer. TL:DR - You get 16 minutes run time on a 4ah battery, good for 20 metres of fence with 1.8m x 100mm panels. If I were spraying the inside of the house or more panels, I would get a 240v version as the charging time on the batteries (75min 10min cool down) is way too long when you're trying to be productive. It's hard to give it a star rating as the ...

Makita 40v Power Head (UX01) VS Makita 36v Power Head (DUX60) Which one is better!? Well, that's subjective - but I certainly prefer to use the 36v when maintaining the yard. Unless I need to chop some branches then you really can't beat the outright power of the 40 volt system. If you've got either one - let me know your thoughts in the comments! 0:00 Intro 1:04 Design 1:51 Function 3:39 Perfo...

Edit: Thank you to Toms Yard Maintenance for pointing out my error at 3m9s! The blade is 203mm (8") long and not 270mm (10.6"). Here's my take on the Makita EE400MP Edging Attachment which I use on my 36v Makita Power Head. Do you NEED one? Residential - no. But it is faster/easier to get nice edges. Commercial - I would - it will save you a lot of time. Thank you to: creatorassets.com/a/ding-s...

Thank you so much, did exactly as instructed and worked perfectly. This is a design flat from Sager. I hope it will be fixed with the new model
I cannot believe it… I have Barista Express. It used to be like this for over a year now. Extracting for 2 seconds and just stops. I opened up the machine (make sure to empty all coffee beforehand) and found the white plastic thingy. I couldn’t get it out so I twisted its cap at its place and it just opened up. It was filled about 70%. I used a plastic pipette to fill the rest. As it filled a bubble raised up the pipe. I didn’t bother with it. Just replaced the plastic ring and closed the cap. When I ran the machine I instantly noticed the difference in sound it makes. Extraction took about 15 seconds I guess and coffee coming out was so smooth. I can’t believe how 5ml water changed everything. Thank you so much it used to bother me a lot.
Hey nice work! 👏
Great video! Thanks 😊
An air bubble had formed in the tube between the water reservoir and flow control meter. I opened the flow control meter, drained the tube, reassembled and it started working again. I didn't see any cracks or loose connections from control meter to reservoir so how the air bubble formed is a mystery. Thank you for the video! It makes it possible to actually get inside this thing without causing significant damage.
The plastic wheels make noise, i glued the hub caps and now they don't make noise anymore!
180 dollar for a 5ah 18v battery sounds expensive. they cost 75 euro in the netherlands, which is around 80 dollars
Very helpful video, saved me a 2 week wait for repair, thanks. At 3:22 to avoid leaking from flowmeter, place o-ring/seal in top-part when assembling, took me a couple of disassemblies to get right 😊
It really should charge the batteries qhen plugged in. And it should stay on after power is restored
Thank you so so much! It works for me!
Great video. Suggest wearing a face shield.
Hey Greg, Are you noticing that the 403 is using a lot of bar oil? I bought one yesterday - absolutely love it, but it uses so much oil!
Thank you
Thanks. It worked! I didn’t break the clips as I used a light to find where the clip was on the side and eased it out.
and now there's the EY403MP which is 12 inches on the saw
Yes! I have that now and it’s my first (and so far only) 5 star review. I couldn’t fault it 🙌 ua-cam.com/video/VAtc63kthSU/v-deo.html
My machine works now-thanks. We filled the flow meter with water and put it back together. The hardest part of this process is placing the flow meter back onto the two little holding slots and also we worked from the back as we could not get the bottom cover off after undoing the 6 screws. We used little blutack to hold the very last screw (which goes inside the back cover under the holding tank)) onto the screw driver.
How do you like the Powerhead line-trimmer vs a dedicated trimmer?
I have used the 36v line-trimmer and the main advantage was the motor being located on the trimmer head so the weight was all down on the ground rather than on your arms. That made it a bit more comfortable to use.
@@gregandtarynsplace Thanks!
Get some eye protection!
Worked for me. Thank you!!
well done
Holy cow. This worked for me on my Barista Touch. Thank you 🙌🏼 Atleast it's working today 😄
I just followed the instructions about tipping the machine upside down for a few seconds and it is working again. Worth a try before pulling the whole machine apart..
Works like magic! I took out the coffee beans tray, water tank, and drip tray, then left the coffee machine upside down for about a minute. I lifted it and gently shook it before placing the trays and the water tank back. Steamer and extraction back to normal, no more stopping at 5 seconds! 100% worth trying before opening it. I still don't know if this issue will come back (hopefully not). 🤞 Let me (us) know if anyone tried this and worked too. I just want to see if this could be the easiest way to resolve the problem.
Good video. Helped me fix mine that my kid broke. Like you said, parenting!
Worked for me- thanks for posting the video
Works for me, thank you so much !! 🎉
My BES880 stop every 3 seconds, clean and decale is the same. I just open the machine and open the flow meter, put back and it works now. Bought a new meter from Amazon in case it stop again.
I did what Greg suggested but now I am getting a Fill Tank error even when I fill my tank. The magnetic float works so any ideas?
I've got mainly Dewalt but after watching a few reviews on the long reach makita I shelled out and from day one have loved it .. the safety switches are a pain in the arse but you learn how to deal with them 😉😉🤠👍
I’d love to know why you didn’t opt for the similar thing in DeWalt? Their PowerStack and FlexVolt technology seem pretty good!
@@gregandtarynsplace long story I ordered the dewalt telescopic but found it a bit heavy ... these makita and feather lite and 3 speeds plenty of power ....
Good review mate thanks for sharing

Great review, very helpful
You saved me
Hey I just followed all of these steps to the T and now it's not even turning on at all :( any advice? It was at least turning on before
Had same issue, turns out I had not put 3-pin connector on flowmeter top in correctly 🙄
Followed this same procedure to fix my Barista Pro. Thanks a lot.
Does the michelin make a loud noise/squeak when you stop the washer? Just working out if this is normal? Appreciate it and great review!
You sir, are a life saver!
Thank you! You just saved me hundreds of dollars!!!!
Thanks mate, I was stumped, I was trying to brew with no luck, but trying the hot water setting worked
I have brand new machine that is not pumping water any idea on how to solve??
I had the same issue and fixed it by turning the whole machine upside-down and giving it a jiggle. Make sure you remove the tank, drip tray and bean hopper first though! 😅
This saved me so much money! Great video! Only thing I’d say is the tabs are easy to not break if you shine a bright torch and just look at the way they latch, then use 2 flathead screwdrivers one to pull the tab back and the other to lever the plastic apart But this is a really helpful video thanks mate!
You absolutely saved me, thank you so much for this video.
Just fixed mine following your exact instructions. Now works so thank you very much. Seriously though, anyone in the market for a coffee machine should look elsewhere. Great coffee out of these for sure, but I have gone through 3 in 5 years. Zero reliability.
We had the same issue and after watching your helpful video I was ready to disassemble. My wife suggested trying to lie the machine on its face or back to see if the air bubble moved out of the flow meter. I removed the drip tray , water tank, and most beans, unplugged it and tipped it forwards while holding it over the sink. I left it like that for a few seconds, and put the machine back on the counter. It worked perfectly. Maybe we were just lucky but it’s a simple enough thing to try before taking the machine apart.
That's brilliant!
I just did what you said and it fixed mine too. Tell your wife she saved me an hour of my life so I can now drink more beer ! Thank u
Great video, I changed my flow meter in a few minutes after watching this and didn’t break any tabs either. Unfortunately this did not fix the problem. Any more ideas?
Thank you mate! You made my day! 🥳🥳👍👍
was thinking of getting one when it first come out but it's too expensive and still hasn't changed I would just stick with my esky great review love all the reviews you do on your channel
Cheers Pat! 🍻
Ive been thinking of getting this or the 7L. But theyre too expensive and you can get a better fridge plus extra (or change) fornthe price
It doesnt charge the batteries when plugged in. And it doesnt recover from Power outage
Thank you so much. That was difficult, but I made it ❤
Great work! 👏☕️
Ozito batteries are *much* more affordable than all other brands. Good quality too.
Had my machine ready to take to the tip but thanks to this video I may have extended its life. Much appreciated
That’s a win - great job! 🙌
Great tutorial! As someone else mentioned, I had to dremel the aliexpress replacement holes a little. Other than that everything went smooth, 5 minutes job.
