HI RON say that call turned out a beautiful piece of art i am a turkey hunter and i would use that call you made with a little bit of sanding on the slate it will surely do fine to bring in a love sick tom don't worry about the shine a turkey hunter will have on camo gloves anyway to help cover the movement of hands talk to you later and GODBLESS larry
I think your sound issue, from what I saw, was how you're holding the striker, ya gotta hold it higher on the stick and like you're writing, I learned that the hard way... I think it sounds dadgum good especially since you're not a professional call maker.
