It's becoming a signature of the channel, which I'm 100% fine with, 'cause butts are funny. I enjoy the dissonance that comes with thinking of people centuries ago as being very respectable, scholarly, and dignified...but then realizing that, in fact, they clearly ALSO thought butts were funny, what with all the illustrations and descriptions that sneak in mention of that anatomical feature :D
I love how you go through the backstory as well as your process in an informational and humorous manner. It gives a nice, polished look while also being entertaining. Can't wait to see what you have instore next.
Me, just the other week: Judging by previous patterns, a Something Wicked video could pop up sometime soon. 🤔 Barry, emerging from the Lore Crypt: I come bearing a three-buttholed beast Me: HELL YEAH!!!!
Or creatures from Zeno Clash and Oddworld. A physical figure of Pseudo or Gemini from the ZC prequel Clash: Artifacts of Chaos would be very interesting.
Incredible work as ever, sir! Don't take this as pestering or requests, seriously but there's a whole bestiary of odd/lesser known heraldic creatures out there - Yales, Lindworms, Panthers, etc. that would look spectacular rendered in sculpture. I only mention it because I've been doodling weird Medieval beasties lately in my own work and I think the creatures beyond the standard dragons, griffins, and unicorns could use some appreciation.
Best monster sculpturer on UA-cam. Your attention to detail and armature making is probably the best ive seen so far. Thank you for taking your time and making everything look amazing.
Shitposting is a universal tradition going back to the dawn of humanity. I'm convinced that somewhere out there is at least one set of ancient cave paintings depicting butts and ludicrous dongs and all sorts of crass humor, and we just haven't found them yet. There are "your mom" jokes in graffiti on the walls of Pompeii. :D
Despite the success of the Lord of the Rings trilogy, Gollum had a hard time breaking through in Hollywood. To make ends meet, he took on roles in Japanese creature-feature cinema; even resorting to surgical alterations to his digestive tract to secure steady work in increasingly niche kappa-centric productions.
BARRY IS BACK - STOP WHATEVER YOUR DOING, THE MAN IS BACK - also the surfers against sewage support is awesome, i love their work, especially as a budding marine biologist who wants to get into paddleboarding, its just a shame our waters here in the UK are so shit :(
This turned out awesome!! And FabriTac is so good for tons of things! Also the beak reminds me of the Skekses from 'the dark crystal'.. and the shell reminds me of Bowser's shell..
I was literally talking about your videos today to my mate saying I wish you had more, and now you bring this out! There's a great disturbance in the force! .. I had recently seen an AI heavy metal video with medieval monsters in it and that's why I bought your channel up. Great sculpt!
I know you probably get an awful lot of reccomendations but I'd love to see a rendition of the bunyip from aboriginal australian folklore. Excellent work as always, can't wait to see what you make next!
Ooohhh I love this slimy little guy! I really love how weird and wild japanese mythology is, like hell yeah give that little tri-anus turtle guy a monk haircut! (Also, what your doing with surfers against sewage is super cool I’ll make sure to check that out!)
I'm just glad you used a vacuum chamber for your resin. I see so many talented markets. rushing to use resin without it. your a talented egg! keep it up
This is absolutely amazing! The amount of detail you put into it is just *chef's kiss* And I love that you include so much information about the critter you're marking, it makes your channel such a joy to watch!
i love that you also do creature from other cultures and not just western ones... hope you will continue to explore other real life monsters from other countries
Little unusual that you didn't replicate the medieval artstyle like you do with your other sculptures, but a good sculpture nonetheless, it looks like a practical effect in a movie
Thanks for watching! I found so many incredible kappa images that I tried to take influence from them all! I took the pose from the first image, which remained the primary influence, but the rest is a bit of an amalgamation. The next build is pretty singular in influence. Did you catch the teaser? 🫀
I would love to see you bring some of the critters from Heironymus Bosch's works into the 3D realm. Endless weird little guys with odd bums to add to your collection.
THOSE SCALES! Incredible work as always. What a delight to learn as well that they make such an aptly-named brush for the microscopic lines I always feel compelled to attempt in my own work 💯
I’m so happy to see another upload from you!! The dedication is amazing, and it always makes me wish the artists of old who made the original pictures could see your work.
wow this just randomly popped up in my recommended and i have to say im shocked at the production quality of the video!! not to mention the sculpture itself is so good, the pose is so dynamic its awesome!! that trick with the epoxy and the fishing lines was really clever, that combined with the surface ripples really tied the setting together. subscribed!! :D
Sweet! Excellent job once again. We once did a Japan-based D&D party which encountered kappa all the time. It's nice to see this one, he looks amazing. I love the background stories--didn't know about the pulling out the tongue through your arse once. The only thing I miss is a cucumber for size :)
Love this channel... wish he do more Yokai and weird creatures, like Moth-Man and Chupa-Cabra, maybe classical demons from medieval times... just dreamming heh
This is absolutely amazing. It would be fun to see you sculpt a Troll from John Bauer's art, or some Lovecraftian creatures. What about the Beast of Gévaudan ? The Loch Ness monster ? The Yeti ? 😁
Lovely render of the Kappa and the lore, altho’ the mention and your description of the soul bit made me snicker before the thought of ”…that kind of sounds a bit of what could be modern day of the prostate (in males that is, we females has a entirely diffrent route there )…and you are welcome for that image 😂 thanks for sharing! Will defenitely look up a few other videos of yours and then plausibly leave a subcription 😅
The amount of detail you paint is incredible! I love how much information you include about the various mythologies! I'd love to see you sculpt something from a Native American mythology (not the w*ndigo, though, it is taboo to mention). There are so many interesting creatures and a wide variety of these cultures, and so many people today don't know they even exist. It seems like the kind of thing that might be right up your alley!
WHY DO ALL OF YOUR CREATIONS INVOLVE WEIRD BUTTHOLES???
It's merely a reflection of humanity lol.
It's becoming a signature of the channel, which I'm 100% fine with, 'cause butts are funny. I enjoy the dissonance that comes with thinking of people centuries ago as being very respectable, scholarly, and dignified...but then realizing that, in fact, they clearly ALSO thought butts were funny, what with all the illustrations and descriptions that sneak in mention of that anatomical feature :D
it's a japanese thing. I have a book of prints, all show a version of "people farting". It's quite low-brow and made to amuse commoners
@@AENock The dark reflection of humanity LMAO
Mythical accuracy
Humanity is so funny because we just couldn’t get enough of our normal animals we had to make up little freaks like this guy
I love how you go through the backstory as well as your process in an informational and humorous manner. It gives a nice, polished look while also being entertaining. Can't wait to see what you have instore next.
Thanks so much! I love doing the research and learning more about these hobble little things! Did you see the teaser at the end of the video? 😉🙏🏻🫀
I love how you love that
Me, just the other week: Judging by previous patterns, a Something Wicked video could pop up sometime soon. 🤔
Barry, emerging from the Lore Crypt: I come bearing a three-buttholed beast
Me: HELL YEAH!!!!
I come bearing butt holes! 😂🫀
Genuinely curious to see how you'd do H.G. Wells' Martians and their fighting machines
Keeping with books, I'd love to see his rendition of The Cowardly Lion and The Tin Man from the original illustrated version of The Wizard of Oz.
Or creatures from Zeno Clash and Oddworld. A physical figure of Pseudo or Gemini from the ZC prequel Clash: Artifacts of Chaos would be very interesting.
YESSSSS
Could you make baba yaga?
Baba Yaga is overrated. There are dozens of weird and cool creatures in Slavic mythology that don't get any love.
this sculpt is awesome
Thanks so much Bill! 🫀
Wouldn't have been a Something Wicked sculpture if it didn't have some sort of weird nether regions
It does seem to be a reoccurring theme doesn't it! 😂🫀
@@SomethingWkd I feel like it adds a special uniqueness to your sculptures compared to others :)
😂🙏🏻🫀
I love this channel, i really do! Could you do a wyvern next?
Ya a wyvern would be cool
No matter what folklore, religion, mythos, whatever, you never cease to make something amazing. Keep it up ma
Thanks so much! 🙏🏻🫀
Incredible work as ever, sir!

These are solid suggestions, thanks so much! We'll be going medieval in the next one. Did you catch the teaser at the end?
@@SomethingWkd I did, and now I’m suitably hyper!
Best monster sculpturer on UA-cam. Your attention to detail and armature making is probably the best ive seen so far. Thank you for taking your time and making everything look amazing.
Thanks so much! 🙏🏻🫀
Why do these creatures sound like ancient shitposts?
Shitposting is a universal tradition going back to the dawn of humanity. I'm convinced that somewhere out there is at least one set of ancient cave paintings depicting butts and ludicrous dongs and all sorts of crass humor, and we just haven't found them yet. There are "your mom" jokes in graffiti on the walls of Pompeii. :D
Damn i am here early, so stoked for the making of this gnarly creature!
🫀
Lovely stuff, In the Nioh games the kappas do have the 'grab your soul out of your bumhole' attack.
💀 FATALITY! 💀
Despite the success of the Lord of the Rings trilogy, Gollum had a hard time breaking through in Hollywood. I hate how underrated you are!!!Don’t get me wrong,I adore north of the border, but you actually sculpt stuff that I’m actually interested in.
Your videos are always the highlights of my day. Keep up the amazing work. Can you please sculpt a midevil cat.

The sculpture is beautiful, I love it, but those scutes? WOW! Amazing! You’re amazing, and so inspiring, thank you for sharing your talent!
Thank you so much! 🫀

Awesome stuff man, gotta learn how to sculpt myself.
This channel, the skills, the techniques and the procedures keep astounding me. It's beautiful and ugly and awesome.
Aren't we all? 😅🫀🙏🏻
Love your videos man, keep it up! 🎉
Got my gauge wire and cosclay and I am ready to sculpt along with you.
Really great!
Ingenious use of ModPodge! Now make him a kasa-obake friend...
Good call, or a Shirimi or Nuribotoke! So many to choose from! 😅🫀

Loads of good ideas here! I like to have an old illustration to base the sculpture on. Some Lovecraftian stuff would be dope though! 🫀
More! We need more demons!! 🎉 another great video
Wait for the winter solstice, I'll have something wicked for you!
I honestly would have expected you to have way more subscribers. Your videos are very well done as is your art
Thank you so much 😀
Another awesome job there. Seems like real development from the last one and your skills are growing from model to model. Keep up the good work.
