Adding to how impressive this is, bosses scale to the amount of players in the game. So every time he helps is is always more difficult than playing alone.
Art ... that is so good. Pushing yourself and experimenting to the detriment of perfection is the way to go I believe. I recently started a 3 day project that was simply making a mask for my grandaughter with papier-mache. It went out of control and three months later it's finished as a resin casting from a silicon mould. A simple project for a child became like something from a Hollywood props department.
Sometimes it feels like other people's art just comes out perfect but you showing and talking about all the mistakes and difficulties during the process made me relate and appreciate your work so much more
It's so fitting that this sculpt would be a challenge for you. With ups and downs, soul crushing moments and brilliant comebacks, this was your real world Fromsoft boss and you took it down beautifully.

As for the "seeminlgy simple but actually difficult" parts, your description reminds me a little bit of the programmers creed: "We don't do things because they are easy, but because we thought they were easy." Keep up the great work!
Not even three minutes in and teh attention to detail and the way you're building this up from skeleton to muscles to flesh is damned intricate and amazing. Came cause of the subject but stayed for the skill. Damn you're good
Bro, we make all the same mistakes and yet your stuff still turns out 1000% better than mine. Go figure. Your work is incredible and an inspiration! I love your commentary and insights too.

Thank you :) That "struggle" is why I also didn't want to put the model in a particularly heroic pose. I didn't have a place for this thought in the video, but in my mind, this is earlier on in his "career" and he had just taken a hit or narrowly avoided one with a dodge, and is just now getting up on his feet, ready to fight again.
Having painted a lot of Warhammer, can confirm that the part that look hard are usually very easy, and the parts which look easy (like a plain, even-coloured yellow surface) is actually the devil.

trully mesmerized at the process to create the sculpture, its honestly so cool you go from the bones, to the muscles and give it so much detail, it just looks so cool, and it honestly seems really challenging and rewarding given how good it looks in the end.
Hey love, I noticed that you’re quite harsh on yourself and your art. As someone who sculpted for about 20ish years and has been doing art since I could hold a brush (so about 40+ years), you’re doing very well. Something I learnt along the way was that you will always make mistakes, sometimes it’s so minor you can barely notice it and other times you have to redo the entire thing. Sculpting will always test your patience but you will gain such a great perseverance that you can apply to pretty much anywhere in your life. I understand how being an artist it’s very easy to nitpick your own art and see all the flaws but if you look back to where you started or even a year ago, you will see such a major improvement that you should be so proud of yourself for. Making mistakes is so intrinsic to being a great artist and gaining those skills but please be kinder to yourself, it breaks my heart to see someone with so much talent and artistry be so negative about their own ability.
I really loved watching this video, it really shows the path of an artist, the suffering of failing but learning from the mistakes, and link this feelings to the feelings when playing the game. Simply Amazing video.
Just found this channel and I am really stoked about your future as a content creator! I really respect the honesty you portray about yourself in your work and the visceral emotions that you are capable of emitting in the design of your sculptures. I find your process meticulous and very insightful in a positive manner, which is very credible and creative. I sincerely wish you the best and will continue viewing each of these amazing sculpture design processes.
A true legend indeed. Immortalized. I need to learn this craft/art. I always wanted to make a miniature sculpture of a Viking warrior in a warcry. Fantastic job, mate. 👍
DUDE !!!!! LET ME BUY THAT ONE !!! YOUR SKILL IS GOD TIER !!! I would gladly still pay Full price for this piece !! Outstanding work man !!! Nicely done !!!!!!!
Sooo in Summary: You made a Sculpture from a game, that forces you to fail very often. And you had multiple problems making these Statue. Just like Fromsoft intended
From how you’re talking I can understand that you’re truly knowledged in your form of art is so amazing to hear. Even if there’s parts you could’ve done better in your own opinion, I just wanna let you know that this is an amazing piece!
Jarnished. You demonstrated so much expertise and skill in sculpting LMSH, that I felt strongly compelled to watch the whole thing and I'm so glad I did cause seeing the whole process articulated and explained in a simple and comforting way brought me amazing insights I'd never considered before such as utilising various types of clay for different purposes, utilising resin + UV techniques, and how problem solving is vital when sculptures run into complications and now I have a new found appreciation for those like you that spend time making epic stuff like this. Keep it up, man !!!
I love your message here….I find it to be true…about the time I am ready to melt it down, something in me says do not…make it work. Those tend to be my biggest successes…
Jarnished. what a fantastic display of learning! Thanks for sharing your arts! I would love to see you come back to this in future and make it again and compare yourself to your past self
21:30 - Thank you for sharing all the mistakes along the way. Being smart is learning from your own mistakes. Being wise is learning from the mistakes of others.
Amazing! Even though you are your worst critic and this sculpture is a masterpiece. It nice to see someone so humble with admitting and showing the flaws with the process. Appreciate that and helps us all grow and learn.
Amazing. Moreover, I really appreciate your dispassionate approach to self-criticism. Or, to be more precise, criticism of your own work. You are exacting and harsh, but not in a way that berates the self but rather in a way that drives you to higher standards. I am convinced that this particular approach is the key for people with a certain type of personality to develop, to excel, and to create masterpieces. I think you understand me, even if many don't. The proof is in the pudding (= the masterpiece), and I thank you for sharing it with us.
Jarnished; if you are using spackling for a material you will need a sealer product to allow the paint to adhere properly. a specific product is drywall sealer paint. which is just a specific blend of PVA glue and additives. still loved watching this and am happy to see your skill evolve. you make me want to work on my own projects more despite the literal months in between. i've never finished anything I've started sculpting which is a real shame. time escapes me and the idea of doing something that requires learning and beginner skillset is always passed up for something that I've mastered. I need to get better at this and practice+time will allow me to create. thank you for sharing your talent and recording it all for us to see. but most importantly; showing your own shortcomings and explaining the time you spend.
Not giving up on a piece the moment you screw it up is how you actually finish things as a beginner, too. It's great advice for people at any stage of their art journey.
It looks great. As a artist I get your pain from the events not going as planned. That's a huge portion of being a artist, fixing mistakes and turning them into something.
Wonderful to see your experiences, both the frustrating and successful ones. Considering some of the materials used are relatively new to you the end result still appears masterful.
Just learned the lore behind all this a couple weeks ago. I don't even play Elden Ring or souls-like games. I do work at a game shop though so its par for the course. Great job on the artwork!!!
Amazing. Thank you for sharing! I understand that you are concerned with anatomical accuracy… …but I must remind you that your mother and I are very proud of you.
I can promise you bro when you showed the piece at the beginning of the video I didn't notice any of the issues you covered. Just some very dope work all around. Well done!
This is so so amazing, please don't be too harsh on yourself because to an untrained eye this is incredible. Im sure the mistakes you see are purely only seen by yourself, so limit your disappointment to focus on healthy improvement

trully mesmerized at the process to create the sculpture, its honestly so cool you go from the bones, to the muscles and give it so much detail, it just looks so cool, and it honestly seems really challenging and rewarding given how good it looks in the end.
Artists are the only experts of their craft, who don’t consider themselves experts, and are constantly learning everyday.
Great work my friend. Cos clay once you get use to it is one of the best materials I have ever used. Glad to see you enjoyed it.
When Let-Me-Solo-Her enters the arena, Malenia hears boss music...
Now sculpt him giving birth
Wot
You really are your own biggest critique. This is fantastic and i look forward to everything you do moving forward.
jarnished... this is my first time stumbling across your channel and i am chuffed to bits with what you have produced here... very nice
Thank you for acknowledging the fact that LMSH is a legend and must be recognized as such. Respect to you
Amazing! Even though you are your worst critic and this sculpture is a masterpiece. It nice to see someone so humble with admitting and showing the flaws with the process. Appreciate that and helps us all grow and learn.
Jarnished! Love the way this came out! If Let Me Solo Her saw this, I'd bet he'd be impressed!
he did see it luckily
Absolutely incredible. Even though you said that the piece was quite flawed in several areas, I still think it's beautiful. Bravo! Bravo!
Jarnished this is quite brilliant indeed. Love the Sculpt, looks amazing.
Thanks for sharing and explaining all your mistakes. It was so nice to hear someone who can make something that looks so cool make mistakes too.
Love the insight into the socalled "mistakes"
Big thumbs up, well done Art..
Bravo. This mirrors a lot of artist and makers experience. Ty for being real and sharing the journey. Its a beautiful piece.
Thank you for sharing your journey to a finished piece! It looks great and definitely worth all the trouble.
Jarnished, fantastic sculpt and video, thanks for sharing your process. Love seeing the errors and soluitions.
Looks amazing. Thanks so much for talking about your mistakes and how you overcame them. I have only been sculpting for about a year so I make plenty.
Great job with providing context. Intro was very articulate and concise!
Sir, watching you makes me understand why my mother gets mad at me when i critique my own artwork. What you have done with this statue is tremendous
Amazing.
Thank you for sharing!
I understand that you are concerned with anatomical accuracy…
…but I must remind you that your mother and I are very proud of you.
I can promise you bro when you showed the piece at the beginning of the video I didn't notice any of the issues you covered. Just some very dope work all around. Well done!
My good sir, great work. I came across this video getting into sculpting myself. You deserve my follow for gaming/artist alone I will stay. Great work
Great to watch! It was fun to watch you fix the mistake. Serious talent!!!
Your efforts really paid off. The sculpture looks great.
Amazing! I’ve never seen someone show a midway through critique explaining what they did wrong on the first pass!
Dude, you being critical of yourself and i'm just sitting here thinking "this looks amazing!" haha. You truly are a master!
This is so so amazing, please don't be too harsh on yourself because to an untrained eye this is incredible. Im sure the mistakes you see are purely only seen by yourself, so limit your disappointment to focus on healthy improvement
I’m currently binging all of your videos. I really enjoy how much you teach in them. And wow! The sculptures are amazing!
This just looks straight up gorgeous. Absolutely stunning
